  1. Something to consider~ If you do another meet this year then it would have to be somewhere inside-since the weather can only go downhill from here. Maybe a Xmas themed NE Meetup? I'm thinking maybe doing some fun and a meal. As a suggestion to get the ball rolling how about Tobogganing and a meal at the Snowdome in either Tamworth or theres one in Milton Keynes area as well I believe..
  2. Yeah Deep Fear is good as well. (It's another hard one to track down since it was one of the last released European Saturn games) Think Resident Evil under the sea. Radiant Silvergun is an excellent game as well but it retails at stupid prices.
  3. I had a Sega Saturn as well. My recommended games are: Burning Rangers-Made by Sonic team it features some cool music and an anime style opening/cut scenes. It only has 4 levels but each level can be replayed over and over till you rescue everyone. The level paths change as well. As a bonus if you stick the game in your CD drive you get acess to sound bites/and wallpapers. Fighters Megamix-A Fusion of both Fighting Vipers and Virtual Fighter but with a ton of unlockable players and stages.
  4. I'd own an "Odd Sock Shop" where people could buy single socks to replace their own odd socks that had either gotten lost or got holes in. I'd name the shop "Single Sock Shack" I'd also have a trade in area where people could trade in their own odd socks that they didn't want to replace/had found.
  5. I'II be getting a copy, But won't be till nearer the end of Sept. Wanna complete the upcoming Wario. Plus I haven't even beat the first boss on FF4 yet! Also it appears GameFAQ forum members hate the accents. http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=942422&topic=45480895
  6. It's clearly going to be just a PR stunt for the upcoming Kirby DS game (which I'm tempted to import -since Europe ALWAYS get the shaft with Kirby releases!) Anyone else that things it's anything more is only fooling themselves.
  7. The CN Tower is pretty amazing. But since your close by I'd suggest you visit the Skylon tower @ Niagara Falls. They used to sell Fudge at the bottom, plus the view from top over the falls is pretty amazing. In fact 5 things you should do in Niagara if you go: 1) Ride the Spanish Aero Cart over the Rapids 2) Take a ride on the "Maid in the Mist"-Ship thats sails next to bottom of falls 3) Visit the Scenic Caves 4) Go up the Skylon tower 5) Cross the Rainbow Bridge (VISA Required) to the American side and do the hurricane deck walk -YES you get wet!
  8. Two Horror Flicks lately: The Strangers Very tense in places and jumpy. Films like this show Violence doesn't need a reason. Eden Lake This was actually filmed back in 2005 and it's been sitting waiting to be released for some years now. I personally feel it would have had more of an impact if it was released back then. But anti social teens are still a dime a dozen. Worth watching even if some of the torture is a lot strong in places. Oh and for the record the girl Chav/Anti social teen is a right Moody cow
  9. Skyscraper Die hard Clone much? 20 floors of intense survival situations and varied objectives Numerous missions include gun combat, bomb making, puzzle solving and many other challenges Learn how to mix up chemicals to create bombs and how to use a gun as a first timer Realistic weapons, which advance in style and power with every accomplished level Hack the building's security systems to keep yourself hidden from the terrorists and buy yourself crucial extra time Gather medical kits to nullify the effects of your illness, essential in order to complete each mission Storyline follows realistic terrorist attack scenarios, but good could prevail if you succeed in your tasks A unique mixture of FPS and strategy plot that creates an exhilarating new challenge
  10. Has this game been released in the UK yet? I had a scout around Morristons, ASDA, Currys, Comet and WHSmith yesterday evening and didn't see it at all. No mention of it in the charts either.
  11. I find Dairylea a little sickly to eat and rubbery in texture. Packet of Mccoys Flame grilled steak Crisp. Packet was all crushed (thank you very much Mr Crappy vending machine) 4/10.
  12. Instead of waiting on NOE HQ (Germany) Could you alter the address to someone else who lives nearby with a house number/forum member here you trust who could have the item delivered and then post onto you? I ordered two Nintendo Club Glasses (from two different club accounts) this way in the last month (one for myself and one for a friend)who lives in American now. I got both glasses in under a month delivered to my house and then forwarded the extra glass to America.
  13. I used the shopping channel last night to download DoReMi Doki Fantasy (or whatever it's called) Pretty fun as well. I'm going to try downloading the latest channel data when I get home from work.
  14. 50 Stars shall be mine. I'm really excited for this game. I hope it has an extra hard mode like Warioland 4 did.
  15. According to the Nintendo europe site there is a new Race for Sept (Set on the N64 Skyscraper, complete with lots of explosion bombs) But my Mario Kart channel isn't displaying the normal coloured flag and I've had no message from Nintendo advising me of the race. Kinda odd......
  16. Trip to IKEA today to stock up more stuff for my "bottom drawer" Kinda all about the Grey at the moment. Also spent £40 getting my car to pass it's MOT. Items included: x1 16 Piece Dinner Service (Grey) x1 12 Wide Glasses x1 8 Glasses (4 Small, 2 Large) x 6 Wine Glasses x1 Black Chopping Board x3 Scissors (3 Coloured Handles) 24 piece Cutley set x6 Coffee Cups & Saucers (Grey) x1 Metal Round Cutley Holder (Silver)
  17. When I passed my test I was happy to play taxi for anyone. The thrill of being able to drive gives you so much more "Freedom" to roam. But after a couple of weeks then the novelty kinda worn off. I still like driving but there are some days it feels like a real chore. Guessing you took your test at the Lichfield test centre? I'd had to test 3 times before I passed one of my instructors there was a pre-op transexual, and the other one an old guy. Once we reached the end of the test and I'd learnt I passed I was over the moon. It was a long time coming and the relief of knowing I wouldn't need any more lessons was a great feeling. My Driving instructor gave me a keyring (something he gave to everyone that passed with him) I also took a passplus course as well (2hrs of motorway driving) just to get a feel.
  18. Both look like excellent games. I'II be buying both-Wonder when next year they are getting released.
  19. I thought you named yourself after the video game called "Strider" I used to love that game. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strider_(arcade_game)
  20. If this was real and had a battery powered option I'd for sure buy one to expand the games played at meet up events. But I think playing it in a car could be tricky esp if your driving over a bumpy road, round sharp corners. Maybe suited to long straight stretches on the motorway only and simple VC style games that don't foucus heavily on Wiimote motion control?
  21. Nothing is without danger. But if you take the time to visit the site you can read the FAQ and find out all about the safety features. I did it last year in New York for a week and had no problems at all. It also saved me a fortune on spending money on renting an apartment/hotel. In fact I stayed with a lovely family who were both helpful, accomdating and very informative.
  22. Something I forget to post earlier. If people can't afford hostels/hotel rooms why not opt to Couch Surf? http://www.couchsurfing.com/ For anyone that doesn't know it's a sight that lets you host/stay at a persons house for a set number of agreed nights. They either supply you with a couch/pull out bed/spare room and at the end you get to rate each other/leave feedback.
  23. Safety is Important and that's why I only let members 18+ Join for the reason that your reponsible for yourself. It's also why I chose to host meetups in the early afternoon and not late at night. I've also opted for a public location in a family environment as well (Bowling Alley)
  24. I do actively encourage new members to upload a photograph to make identifying people that little easier. If your happy to continue spinning meetup's in a negative way then your going for Gold. But there are plenty of new people/members who join both DS: London and DS: Birmingham who don't know anyone. Being the new person is never easy, but once you overcome the nerves/break the ice then 9/10 your glad you made the effort.
