  1. Monopoly would always end with someone gathering up all the money and throwing it in the air. I used to have Ghost House as well. It was a really cool game. The Skull was glow in the dark and I remember if you threw a special roll you could get ahead on the board by passing thru the mirror. The game ended when someone reached the top of the house and closed the lid on a coffin if I recalled correctly. Did anyone have Dizzy. Dizzy, Dinosaur or Fibber?
  2. My Fav board game was called "Escape from Altantis. It was a 4 player game and each turn you would have to move your player pieces from the Island and into a boat to escape to one of the corner islands on the board. After each turn you would remove a piece of the main island and reveal a symbol on the bottom of that island which would either help or hinder your escape. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Escape_from_Atlantis
  3. Deja 'Vu is kinda eerie there are times when I experience it and I stop and I think something bad is going to happen cause I remember what happens next. Then it turns out I'm totally wrong and I rest easy. I think it's really just you remembering something you dream then expecting a trival situtaion that mirrors a part of your dream.
  4. I'm going down on Sat Afternoon, with a bunch of other guys from the DS: London meetup group. There's a facebook page as well about this event. Ordered my tickets and according to Play.com, will be shipped week starting 10th March.
  5. It's only the Classic Retro mode that supports Co-op Battle. New Age mode does feature 4 players but that's a battle mode. All this talk makes me hungry for more punishment in the form of Bubble Bobble Double Shot.
  6. Don't think I'm the only person to persist in completing the game 100%-I did finally unlock the other secret Character which was Violet. I also found out the Japanese version supports D-pad play as well. I have to wonder if the developers could fit a whole 100 levels of Retro fun on a download play game?
  7. I'II be getting Adventure island once I have some points, I downloaded New Adventure Island and really enjoyed it. I kind of prefer these games on the VC Console, simple shooter/platform games. I tend to get easily bored with the RPG classics of yesteryear.
  8. This thread seems kinda pointless, we all know what we would ideally like to save. BUT in a real fire situtation you are more concerned with your own safety then saving (insert expensive item/valuable memory here) Most things are replacement, and the things that hold memory value that do get destroyed are never truely gone if you still hold that memory in your head. This is why we have we have insurance. You would all be dead before you ever got half your crap out the window/door. It doesn't take long to choke on the poisonous smoke fumes.. BUT if I was pressed into saving something-I guess it would be my DS Lite with Pac Pix Stylus and DS game collection....
  9. No Problem it's all in a days work for a Club whore like me. Don't forget to include your Nintendo Club username and email address (but not your password for obvious reasons.
  10. I've had trouble with entering my latest Club Code for the DS game "Maths Training" So today I gave the Nintendo Service centre a phone call and spoke to Mike. At first he said, that this was an earlier problem and it had been reported to Germany HQ and it was solved on Monday evening-which clearly wasn't the case as I was still having issues. He then atempted to give me another code for Brain Training in place of Maths training, but that failed as well, because it won't let you register the same product twice. So he suggested I email him the code, and he would forward the details to Germany Nintendo HQ to try and get it solved. So I emailed him on. [email protected] Ooops, did I just type that address? Maybe some of you guys might want to use it, since it takes forever to get an answer on the phone and they charge national rate.
  11. It looks good Joe, but why are you adding Brawl Stuff to the site? I can understand it's got a huge following, but I think it kind just the Pokemon Stuff would be revelant, and the rest can be saved for other sites like GAMEFAQ or Brawl/Dojo like fansites-there are sure plenty. Are you adding stuff for the sake of it?
  12. Quit pipe dreamin' NOE is NEVER going to split the UK from it's region. It would be clearly unfair just because we are an Island and speak the same language as America/Canada doesn't mean we should get treated differently from the rest of Europe. Personally I'd rather stick with Europe, sure as a whole we get the raw end of the stick but we have victories and I'm drawing your attention to: Early Release Wii Chess, Endless Ocean, 42 all time classics, , Bomberman Story, Bubble Bobble/Rainbow Island/New Zealand Story Revolution, Maths Training, Never Released in USA Ie Doshin the Gaint, Tingles Rosecoloured Rupeeland, and Kuru Kuru Kurin If we split from Europe, we wouldnt get the Club Scheme since hes run from Germany Nintendo HQ. Europe works well as a whole, and a lot of thought/planning goes in to when to release games in the European region. Besides doesn't the wait make the play of a delayed game even sweeter?
  13. I'd glady pay a cheap bus fare over the overpriced train anyday. Besides screaming Baby is easily countered with any of the following: Portable DVD Player/PSP/DS/MP3 player. I may be intrested in making an apperance esp since I regular travel to London for the DS Meetups. just depends if it falls on one of my rest days or not.
  14. Yeah I saw a version of it on kotaku just yesterday. It looks very impressive but I'm glad I didn't spend 15,000 worth of stars, I feel it would just be a dust collector and I like Zelda but not that much. Bet it must weigh a ton. Ideal for sneak attacks and hitting someone over the head I bet Yeah it seems like they are really trying to improve the sense to match the quality that Club Nintendo Japan gets. Nintendo's next step should be to mirror the Japan Club Nintendo Catalogue as best as possible. Just got another Nintendo Newsletter-same as last one but at the top it doesn't give my stars balance.
  15. Got my Mario Rack yesterday. Loving the extra touch with the Club Nintendo Box. Before you just got items in any old jiffybag/box. I quite like the rack. It stores 4 of my Wii games and 3 DS Games. --- Did anyone get the Nintendo Newsletter today-it says I have 19,000 stars to spend and I knew I only had 16,000 odd on my account. I logged in hoping to see that I'd been given some extra stars for some random reason only to find I still had 16,000. I wonder who can't do math at Nintendo HQ?
  16. Ok, so earlier in my thread I was very quick to point how how unhappy I was with the Rainbow Islands remake. But after showing the game to Mr Bogus on Sunday I decided to give it another whirl. I completed it on Easy mode and unlocked nothing. Next I played it on Normal mode and cleared the 7th Island and got the bad ending. After that I replayed the game again this time collecting the Big Jewels from each Island (you have to get all 7 gems to earn a big Gem from the end boss) This unlocked the Final 3 secret Islands. Which are all based off other Taito games (Bubble Bobble, Magicland, and Darius) Beating the 3 extra Islands got me another poor ending, so I replayed the 3 extra Islands again this time collecting 7 Gems on each Island to unlock a Mirror from each of the 3 final bosses. Beating the game with ALL 7 Giant Gems, and all 3 Mirrors unlocks the real ending and also one of the Extra Playable Characters (Mike) Who is fast, really good at using Rainbows and has a pretty decent amount of life hearts. The game may have stupid controls and yes you are trapped in a bubble but some saving grace is + You can replay any level you like after you cleared the island- Just press right on the map screen to select the Island you want + Unlimited Continues Now I'm going to try and complete the game with Mike to unlock the other secret Character.
  17. Yeah I am a little disappointed with the random updates. If I'm honest I prefered the blue colour scheme we had before.
  18. Ha! I'd hardly call N64 Magazine "Retro" while I did purchase a few copies. Then for me Retro Magazines will always be stuff like: Crash and Zapp! -That's retro!
  19. Happy Birthday. /me eats ALL the cake, steals the presents and runs away.
  20. I already host a meetup right in the centre of the Midlands "Birmingham" Just thought I'd bring this to everyones attention National express coaches do travel for £1 upwards in price called Funfares: http://www.nationalexpress.com/save/funfares.cfm You can travel from London to about 50 other cities in the UK or from one of those 50 cities back into London. So really anyone can afford to travel at those prices. Also as regard finding a place to crash. People travelling from Scotland Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen can travel on overnight coaches in both directions to avoid hotel costs.
  21. Anyone else get this email today? It's all good news
  22. Not to my knowledge but today was the first ep in a new series.
  23. Yeah Total Scam, makes me wonder how can people be so careless? Whenever I order from online retailers I always use big name companies and I'm very wary of small time stores. The only time I'd trust the smaller shops stores would be if I was shopping there in person. It sucks for the people that lost the cash.
  24. Half listening to the sound-From what I heard sounds like delivery issues, and not directly Nintendos fault. But I'II continue to watch.
  25. It just goes to show whoever is asking the emails is doing a shit job at it. Do yourself a favour and pick up the phone and push for a result. It's either that or play the waiting game and hope it turns up.
