But in the home menu, with the controller settings (where you can adjust the screen brightness of the gamepad etc...). There is a button "Turn screen off". What does that button even do then haha? Does it turn off the gamepad totally?

I realise pokemon transporter is a part of pokemon bank, but there really is no reason for this besides money. I'm sure if they wanted it, it would be possible to transfer pokemon data over the SD cards. That would take some stress of their network haha.

aah too bad it's delayed, I was really looking forward to transfer some pokemon. But to be honest it was kind of predictable the servers wouldn't be able to take all that traffic. Let's hope they improve the system soon and get it back online

Might be a silly question, but how are you supposed to pay for the annual fee? Does it take the amount of your eshop balance automatically, or do you need to rebuy it every year or something?

I know it's not really a nintendo franchise, but I would really love to see a new Crystal Chronicles game for the WiiU or 3DS. The gamecube game is already about a decade old, but it's still fun to play and looks gorgeous. The world always seemed so enchanting and the atmosphere was great. I would love to dive into that world again someday (not the crystal bearers' one, I hated that game haha ) It would be a good fit too for the gamepad, and 3DS cross console play.

I'm very excited for the mysterious "X". It looks like something fresh new and epic! I can't wait to play it or to find out more. Not so excited about anything else now, all nintendo games announced so far seem to be nothing more than mere graphical updated sequels. I really hope they prove me wrong, and that those titles turn out to be masterpieces!

There are several reports of people that have installed the recent 3DS system update (miiverse update) and apparently it causes their Animal Crossing game to lag during conversations with villagers etc. I haven't been able to install the update myself, but is this true/ very noticable at all?

I think it's certainly possible as the Wii and DS were also able to communicate in certain games. The WiiU already communicates with the 3DS for the game Monster Hunter 3G and the Mii maker BTW. I just think it's not implemented in games because there isn't really a need for it? The WiiU has controller options enough (maybe even too many...), so I guess handheld compability isn't really a priority or a necessity.

I've only had one freeze so far, during the ending cutscene of the wonderful 101. The system does tend to load really long though, especially in the eshop haha.

I should have known it would be nothing major haha. But this isn't even a minor anouncement. It was awkward and I can't believe nintendo would send someone with that little content to a live game show sigh.

I don't own a vita, I'm a huge 3DS fan. But trying to claim that the Vita is not a great piece of hardware would be plain dumb. It's an exceptional build of cutting edge technology with huge capabilities (and a huge graphical advantage compared to the 3DS). It's not because the marketing failed that the product isn't good. This is top quality and I hope it will do well in the future So I think Sony should keep up what they are doing, they are making great gaming machines.

I agree! It's a good app, if they find a way to remove the annoying glitches it would be a pleasure to use! Maybe 3D support can be added in future patches, but it doesn't really bother me that much. What does bother me though is that nintendo is completely ignoring the fact that flipnote studio 3D even exists. Im really afraid we might not get it at all at this point :'( .

I have no playstation, so I'm not 100% aware of how PS+ works, but a similar program for the virtual console section and the indie games of the WiiU/ 3DS eshop would certainly interest me. There are tons of titles in there that I have never played before and would love to try out. Or they should at least add more demo's.
