What Would You Change About Nintendo/With Nintendo?
M_rock replied to Fierce_LiNk's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I forgot one thing, It's completely undone to hype fans for a release date, and then just delay the title, cancel the title and never talk about it again ever. I'm looking at you Flipnote Studio 3D... (but also Devillish brain training I guess) -
Gosh she's even more adorable in that glorious HD haha!
-
I am a Pikachu main player, this day is a good day haha
-
Yeah, I found it quite funny, although I am a bit sad I can't draw on Blanca's face anymore :p
-
The visuals look fantastic! I don't think I've ever been this excited for a Mariokart game!
-
At my town she didn't appear before a month after T.I.Y. opened, so I'm pretty sure the info is correct. Although I can't be 100% sure about that

The games show the gameboy player logo at startup (or at least some seem to, like Mario & Luigi) I hope that means hopefull things for gamecube emulation (it could basically mean the gba games are run through gamecube emulation on WiiU?)

What Would You Change About Nintendo/With Nintendo?
M_rock replied to Fierce_LiNk's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I want them to give square enix the funds to port kingdom hearts III to WiiU Also a more decent lineup for virtual console would be really nice. The thing that annoys me most though is that WiiU and 3DS are almost 100% sequel consoles. They miss the quirky fun new titles the gamecube and even the wii had. I would love to see some new franchises and of course I would love to see more 3rd party content in general. They also need to stop being so stubborn and see they are wrong in some ways. The fact that WiiU doesn't play DVD's for example is downright rediculous. -
Is that a wild guess or actually confirmed? Anyways I can't wait for this game. I'm pretty sure almost any WiiU owner will pick up this game (I mean what else will we play haha). I'm really curious about what they aren't telling. It seems so little information for such a big release. I just don't hope it ends up being a very limited package like MK7.

Game Series' That Could Do With a Reboot
M_rock replied to Goafer's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I want to see Chibi-Robo make a triumphant return to the home console with a full and big adventure. The first one was such pure magic. Recently the series is only used to make small handheld titles (that don't even get localised). Wii U needs games, and I just think a quirky skip title would add alot to the lineup, and that it would actually please alot of WiiU owners. The series also could do some neat things with the gamepad. Oh and also Crystal Chronicles! The wii entry was so different from the original one. I want a true sequel to the gamecube version with the same gorgeous art style and music direction -
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
M_rock replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I would love to see the return of the note system on maps, like phantom hourglass, it seems a perfect fit for the gamepad! As in actual design, I want an open world, not a narrow path. I want lots of memorable charming locations, like the habited islands of the wind waker, or the towns of ocarina of time. This is what I feel TP and SS missed the most. It also wouldn't hurt to add some more quirkyness to everything. I love games that act like actual games instead of interactive movies. -
Euuhm she is random, although you have to spend a certain amount of money at T.I.Y (I believe 70 000 bells) before she appears. You need a full outfit, otherwise she won't be willing to judge your outfit. (But she tells you this when you don't have enough clothing on) It's also not only important to wear clothes that actually fit the theme, it's also important to not wear clothes that don't match with the theme (for example sporty clothes and official looking clothes don't go together at all, and that combination makes you fail the judging). But other than that is it indeed just having a majority of type X! Good luck!

I still can't believe there's a franchise about Cooking Mama, It's cool, but it's also very much crazy hahaah! I also find it kind of funny nintendo made cooking software for the nintendo ds hahah.

For me personally, the addition of a track editor would make this the best Mario Kart ever created!!! I don't get why everybody seems to be scared of some user customisation? It would be an optional feature, and only expands the gameplay possibilities? Look at the amazing things people can make with disney infinity! Every game with user made levels (Mario VS Donkey Kong DS, Wario Ware DIY, Disney infinity etc etc etc.....) will receive bad user made designs of course. But that doesn't take away the fact that awesome designs come out of it too! It's stupid to forget about the good side just to avoid the fact that not so fantastic tracks could be made. If the track editor would work with some kind of rating, and maybe even a nintendo's favorite picks, it could work wonders! Although I do realise a feature like that would never see daylight under nintendo's current strategy, or it would already have been announced and hyped to promote the game....

I kind of think that a tumblr blog would be awesome haha Then again the official Animal Crossing new leaf tumblr is an absolute joke that updated once in 5 months...

I think Pikmin 3 was one of the freshest experiences I've had in a very long time. The game was so perfect and balanced. I enjoyed it immensely What does annoy me is that WiiU is producing good first party games, but all of those first party games are sequels. (Pikmin 3, Super Mario 3D World (literally a sequel to 3D land), DK: TF, Mario kart 8, Super smash brothers....) They are improved experiences I've already had. :/ I don't want better first party support, because it's already very good. I just want some first party support that was created with WiiU/ gamepad in mind. And I guess more third party support wouldn't hurt either.

@Ville You might be right there, since you can snoop flowers home from the challenge stages haha. I don't think there's a guide with what you can find in each challenge stage though :/ I agree with the ordinances, they really improved the Animal Crossing experience a great deal. Going on a vacation for a week was really a disaster if you played the wii game, but this time it's no big sweat. I do believe it really is a game that matches better with handheld systems. I always got tired of the console versions pretty quick. With this version I'm pretty much satisfied with every little detail. It's perfect and adorable haha! (Although the dialogue was way more varied in wild world)

I think the island has a unique set of fish/ bugs, they aren't comparable to any month. Also the challenge stations have different fish/bugs depending on the challenge, and whatever you catch during minigames doesn't get added to your collection

Woow this really is amazing! It captures that retro feeling so good! I've tried using famitracker too, but I totally suck at it haha! This sounds so cool and addicting, I hope you'll post more :3

Getting the projects you want isn't that difficult! Every type of personalities can suggest unique projects that can't be suggested by animals with other personalities. There are also projects that can be suggested by any animal personality (like the police station for example). A full list can be found here: (with the personalities of the villagers that suggest each project) http://animalcrossing.wikia.com/wiki/Public_Works_Projects Once you figured out what project you want, you should start focussing on the animal in your town with that personality. They only suggest projects when they "ping" (like when they try to tell you they want to move etc..). A good trick for triggering that occasion is trapping the animal outside in a certain spot, surrounded by holes you dig with your shovel. After the animal is trapped, go for a swim, catch an underwater creature, and head back to the land. Pings should occur way more often, repeat until the trapped animal suggests the project you want!

It doesn't But most GBA games had decent save systems anyways

I've played all the ambassador titles on my 3DS, and it never gave emulation problems at all?? I don't really think most people care if the emulation is done in the best way possible, what's important is that it's playable in a good way (wich the ambassador titles are). DS games lock out 3DS funtions as well, so I don't really think that's an excuse for not releasing GBA titles on the 3DS eshop. Oh well at least they are coming too WiiU Though it is kind of sad they need a superpowered home console to release portable games from 10 years ago.

Thanks so much! I already just sold them at somebody else's town, I do appreciate it though!

Does anybody here today have a decent turnip price? Mine have been rubbish all week, and I invested 300k bells :/. I bought them at 90 bells per piece, so any price at all above that would really help me out! Found someone on tumblr! Thanks Ville!

#07 - N-Europe: Let's Talk Games (Metroid: Other M)
M_rock replied to Fused King's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I actually quite enjoyed other m, and I get the feeling they were going for! BUT I just think it doesn't feel like a metroid game at all? It misses that isolation / loneliness that all other titles captured so well. I feel like they wanted to add some depth to Samus character, but by revealing it all, they lost alot of the mystery/ fascination with her? I mean when you look at the prime series, you can feel Samus as a character as well, but it's much more subtle and less in your face. For example in prime 3 when you see samus' face slowly getting corrupted by the phason in the reflection of her helmet, when you see her reacting each time she has to kill one of her fellow corrupted bounty hunters.... Those things are so much better than the (sometimes) bad acting in other m. Gameplay wise it felt really ok. It reminded me somewhat of super metroid with the faster action and actually seeing samus move. I did have issues with the parts where you have to find something rediculously small to advance, and I also didn't like using the D-pad to move as opposed to a decent stick. But those are minor complaints. Some of the battles were jawdropping and super cool though, especially the bosses. So to sum it all up, I think it's a great game with some flaws, but it certainly holds up pretty well. It's just not the timeless classic that most of the other titles in the series are.
