Games you've forced yourself to play through!
M_rock replied to nekunando's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Bleh, I had to force myself to finish Paper Mario: Sticker Star, even though I'm a huge fan of the franchise. The battle system was boring, and the world was so generic and empty. Yuck haha. I also had to force myself to finish the wonderful 101, not because I don't enjoy it. I actually really like playing it once it's started up, but I never feel compelled to boot the game haha! -
I'm still really doubting between picking this up, or Mario 3D world, so I guess it will be whatever one is available in stores tomorrow :/
-
wow it looks so much better in 60FPS ;A; ! Can't wait for tomorrow haha!
-
I'll probably pick it up friday, but I'm really doubting between getting this or Super Mario 3D world! I've played all 3D Mario's so far, but I have never touched a donkey kong country game, so I think I'll go with this one after all. It seems really fun to play with 2, and the graphics look really cool!
-
I also guess this means we will never get Flipnote Studio 3D, or Chibi Robo: Photo Finder..........
-
Oh my god this was such a mess. I was really hoping for something, anything new haha! But there wasn't even a release date for X or Bayonetta 2. Seriously, this was boring and if this is their attempt to get back onto rails, well it's pathetic. Mario Kart 8 and Bayonetta looked really good though. Although I don't see the point of picking up Bayonetta 2 unless they release the first one on WiiU..... Guess they won't even do that.

I want frickin' Flipnote Studio 3D, and Chibi robo for the 3DS would make me very glad haha! Let's hope they have some great WiiU content starring tomorrow
-
The adventure time game is a little expensive! But I'm really glad it FINALLY is available in europe. I'm getting it just for the love of the super neat pixel art haha!
-
I can't even explain how much you need to buy Chibi-robo!!! It's fun to play, has lovely characters, it's quirky, the story is good. Surely amongst my favorite gamecube titles and still fun to play after all these years!
-
I came in expecting something good, but got something even better instead hahah

I'm up for some new Wario Ware D.I.Y. anytime haha! Some good card games would be nice too!

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
M_rock replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I kind of agree, the characters in the game are really good, and some more interaction/ bonding with them could have made the game even better! But it's a very very good product as it stands now -
I think this looks really good and exciting! The fact that I'm not attached to any of the sonic characters or games obviously helps, but the designs aren't bad. I love the way the landscapes look, and I've been craving for a decent 3D platformer lately (that isn't mario). I really hope this turns out well, and I would definitely consider buying this.

#04 - N-Europe: Let's Talk Games (Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire)
M_rock replied to Fused King's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I actually loved Ruby and Sapphire alot! Albeit I was very young when they came out in Europe. I bought my GBA together with pokemon Ruby, and it was really everything I wanted as a kid! Of course I didn't understand the drastic change in the way pokemon were coded back then(with the natures, EV's and IV's), but it's still very relevant and important to the gameplay of today's pokemon games. I really liked the story with a more supportive rival, instead of the jerktype we got in previous version, and the region felt really diverse and unique! I mean we had ocean city's, jungle area's, a volcano, desert, and oh yeah lots of sea Seriously though, about the sea: It's frickin awesome? There even was an abandoned wreck of a ship. The random encounters made me crazy too, but repels can help hahah. The designs of the new monsters were really good at that time, and I still like them alot compared to other weaker generations of designs. Ruby and Sapphire just felt like a huge fun adventure, way more than X/Y ever did. The music sounds epic and the harsh environment of the region only complements that. Finding out I needed to read Braille to get to the 3 regi's and uncovering their secret still remains one of my most fond gaming memories as a kid. This generation dropped some important innovations (day'n night cycle...), but it also proposed alot and alot of new ones! (Types of bikes, secret bases, double battle, battle tower, pkmn natures...................) So yeah, the games are obviously not without flaws, but the total package still remains a very good game that has been the funding for today's games as well. They'll always have a special place in my collection 8.5/10 -
Ordered one of these because most of my stars were about to expire haha:

Do Nintendo's Game Droughts Make You Game Elsewhere?
M_rock replied to Goron_3's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I have Animal Crossing: New leaf, I still play it every day in short sessions, so that keeps me entertained enough in normal weekdays. When I have some more time in the weekends I try to play through wind waker HD some more, but after all these playthroughs on the gamecube it gets old really really fast haha! Luckily Pikmin 3 stays fun haha! So yeah I really could use some more games from nintendo! Especially since I don't plan on buying the new donkey kong (it just doesn't interest me at all for some reason? ) I don't have any other systems though, so I just have to wait -
I have this feeling it's just going to be for a very select amount of titles (the blue ocean titles) that use the DS sideways. Like brain training, math training etc etc. (The touch! Generations titles, I think those games were branded with something like that)
-
Making a character hyper realistic or not is a matter of choosing a graphical style. It has nothing to do with technical limitations. Link in the wind waker doesn't wear super realistic armor and clothing, and we all know how pretty that game is
-
I would buy some games if they were never localised in Europe before (like the two chibi robo DS games). But the chances are so slim that I would probably only end up buying one or two games :/

Nintendo Investors Meeting ( now in english )
M_rock replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
All of it sounds acceptable really, the most important thing is new software that actually justifies a WiiU (and the gamepad). Let's hope that software turns out decent AND comes around quickly! -
I don't understand this? If the 3DS is able to run full 3DS titles (for example bravely default is over 3Gb!) from the SD card, it should be able to run DS titles from the SD card as well? I'm glad with the release of DS games for WiiU though, will be a chance to pick up some gems that I missed! Now they need to hurry up and finally release long overdue gamecube, N64 and GBA games, it's a joke!

My price is only 71 for the moment, but I'll keep checking throughout the week

I wouldn't have a problem with a virtual console service for Android or IOS devices. There are already (illegal) emulators for GBA and SNES games for those platforms, so an official one would at least make some money for nintendo.
-
I would really really really like a new title in the Final Fantasy Tactics Advance series, and a new title in the Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles series for the 3DS. Although it seems very unlikely Square Enix would be developing any of that :/ 2D Metroid would make me very happy, Majora's Mask remake too! And I wish they just finally would release Flipnote Studio 3D, it's annoying they just "forgot" about it. I also would love some decent virtual console support, where the heck are the GBA and the SNES games?
-
I really hope Flipnote studio 3D is amongst the 2014 releases :/ I'm also really looking forward to play Kirby Triple Deluxe, that game looks amazing! And a localisation of Chibi Robo would make me a VERY happy person
