Press Screening of Beaver tonight if anyone is interested!
Dan_Dare replied to dazzybee's topic in General Chit Chat
I'd be very interested, only I happen to live in Sheffield. Rats. Might PM about stuff later, anyway. -
I'm pretty sure it works out at £6.80. You know, for the record.

The campaign is fantastic. It's part RTS, part puzzle game in that you're often given slightly leftfield objectives and troop selections to pull off certain objectives. The story is good too in that Blizzard kind of way. And yeah, the long game is in the multiplayer but the single player is as meaty and entertaining as anything else I've played in some time. Shit's tight yo.

Previous page? Pfft! You think I'm made of time?

so when's this out on consoles? looks hot.
-
Alternatively, Starcraft 2.

There was a quote about along the lines of 'red lanterns seek justice through their own extreme means' or whatever, which is fairly similar. They're like a violent offshoot of the Green Lanterns in a way that's similar to the X-Men / X-Force. At least from what I read from the relaunch pr. I know I'm not up to date on GL lore so it may be wrong anyway.

Best Thread. Carry on.

Red Lanterns looks like DC are trying to follow X-Force. Jus sayin. OK, other matters: for those of you using 'alternatives' to read comics, you have no excuse not to read the Suicide Girls comic out this week. It's total drivel, but hilarious. And incredibly bad taste softcore that makes no sense whatsoever. Must Read.

Happy birthday Danish namesake!

...Conflicted feelings! Sad to know we won't see the likes of Old Man Logan and Ultimates again, but equally excited by the prospect of full time Millarworld.

Yeah, no problem in waiting. Just letting you know how good it is.

I've played through the entire leak - I think so anyway, it's kind of hard to tell. Fuck me it's good. I mean...holy hell. Absolutely shitting marvellous work. It's exactly what you want from a Deus Ex game: Brilliant, tangible cyberpunk world, great characters, intrigue, stealth, action. RPG stuff.. All there. All at least as good as the original. Most of it considerably better. Very, very good game. Potentially GOTY.

I'll fight you instead. I'm disabled so it's fair.

It's no Age of Apocalypse, that's for sure. Liking Thomas Wayne as Batman though- clever little twist. Age of Apocalypse was immense though. Magneto as leader of the X-Men in memory of the murdered Xavier fighting a resistance war against a fascist mutant state run by Apocalypse. It just rocked. So many characters moved around, re designed, given new histories... it was great, and unlike Flashpoint it was given space to flex out and expand. It had texture and depth.

any chance I could borrow it when you're done dude?

I think he's a character that initially feels very... off. Holy Egyptian warrior priest with split personalities fighting crime in Los Angeles is...well it's a hard sell, isn't it? But it works really well. Give it a shot, anyway. See if it takes you. I love it so far.

Anyone reading the new Bendis / Maleav Moon Knight? It's fucking cool - MK sets out in the LA underworld to track down the black market sale of a dead Ultron. Very nice premise but the best bit is how they've given him new split personalities:

Well I'm downloading it, so there's your other option.

Yeah I could do. I really meant I won't be reading ahead - by which I'd spoil years of what looks to be one of my favourite TV shows of all time so far. Of course, the counter argument is that I'm spoiling the books by watching the series first, but hey ho. One of them has to come first and I have other books to read

Excellent video!

First: The idea that we should pick the tracks is horseshit. A crafted album far exceeds any loose mix, and 'farming out' that process is lazy, stinks of a lack of direction and shows they have no vision. Second: I was alarmed to hear that the album was snuck out without a press campaign. Frankly, I would have preferred more warning that this fucking talentless troupe of assclowns were about to inflict their particular brand of sonic terrorism on the airwaves.

hahaha that's aces. Good to see everyone enjoying this. it's fucking amazing. I'm still having trouble with a lot of names, though. which is annoying. No clue what Little Finger and the rest of the council are called, for example. Other than that, I'd say this is the best series in years. I'm completely and shamelessly hooked. I won't be reading the books though, largely because I enjoy trying to predict the plot and watching it blind with my girlfriend. For the record, pretty much all my predictions have been wrong so far, but we'll see. The last episode was a brilliant spark in the political tinder box built up flawlessly in the prior episodes so I can't wait to see how it pans out.

so you guys read Fear Itself #3 right? I'm going to punch Matt Fraction in the cock.
