  1. Nintendo? Rats... Any room for 360?
  2. I saw on Twitter he said he was completely done. Fulltime Millarworld from now on. Might still be published on Marvel imprints like Kick-Ass but no more Millar on the MU.
  3. He's not doing any more Marvel I'd say Gage,Hienberg and Gillen would be my top picks. Fraction and Brubaker are, I think, better on solo books, so they're out. Aaron I almost picked but I'm waiting to see how he does with X-Men.
  4. After reading Children's crusade and Academy this month, I'm starting to think Bendis isn't the right man to really helm the Avengers ship now. He really worked for the New Avenges launch, Dark Reign etc, but I'm feeling that his character work is slipping. Take, for example, his Spider-Woman. She was amazing in the original New Avengers launch, and her solo series (tragically short lived) was great. Now, though, he seems to have reduced her to another talking head in the background. And I really don't like his handling of Protector. He's supposed to be a super intelligent alien diplomat of some kind, and one of the most powerful members of the Avengers and he's frequently being written as an 'I no understand!' comedy foreigner. Think about that: a diplomat not understanding or engaging with foreign culture. Makes absolutely no sense. And just...generally. His style doesn't fit the scope of the Avengers anymore. I like Bendis, but he's at his best doing 'low concept' stuff like Daredevil. Gage is doing much better work on Academy because he has a better grasp of team books, Avengers history and a cleaner approach to character voices. Gold has way more stun. Come on Jean, come on Bishop. Hey Storm. I don't think I ever read any of the original Archangel stuff. Was he written as he is now with a whole split personality theme? Warren is easily one of the most interesting X-Men written this way but I'm not sure about historical precedent.
  5. That awkward moment when everyone's on the internet.
  6. That's more like it.
  7. I really liked it. I think the show could have started going a little stale at this point but the switcheroo they pulled has spruced things up a little. It's fresher and the new status quo is fun to piece together. Some of the changes were a bit weird, others were more interesting. Either way, they're worth watching for.
  8. Looking really good.
  9. Unfortunately for you, I agree.
  10. Commendable. Good work.
  11. My point, which was illustrated perfectly by that video, was that Daft Punk are sophisticated artists. Their songs are complex, layered and nuanced. Their use of samples is unparalleled and stupendously exciting. They engage your head as much as your feet. They are mentally, or intellectually, stimulating. Jesus, arguing with you is hard work.
  12. first of all, it's not he, it's them. Secondly, I was being flippant on purpose. Glad to see you guys are taking everything to heart regardless. Thirdly! Comparing Pitbull and J-Lo to Daft Punk is like comparing a crooning faux jazz restaurant singer to Coltrane. I really, really shouldn't have to explain why the greatest Parisian house act of all time, who single-handedly redefined an entire genre and have been at the vanguard of popular dance music since the mid nineties, are good. Or engaging, or sophisticated, or whichever one of my words you want to pick an argument with today. Words pale in comparison to this video anyway, so here you go: everything great about house in nine minutes flat. All done live.
  13. I'm in. Bitches best be ready for some awesome
  14. Yeah well so's your face.
  15. I actually started answering that, then realised that if you really have to have why Daft Punk are good explained to you on any level you're basically a fuckwit.
  16. I have, occasionally. Recently I bought Stark: Resilient because Amazon hiked their price and the cheaper indie sellers charge postage. The difference meant that I would have paid the same online as in store so I picked it up that weekend when I went to town anyway. Other than that, though, there's really nothing I can't buy online at a better price.
  17. The thing about this L.C.D dance music is that it's irrelevant. OK, so it twinges some primal synapse in your brain that makes you dance. Beyond that, it's impossible to engage with it on any kind of intellectual and critical level. But you know who else twinges that part of the brain? The Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, Justice, Mr Ouizo, SMD, SebastiAn, Danger, New Order and hundreds upon hundreds of other dance musicians. The difference is that they can be engaged with, they do stimulate more than the basest parts of the brain. So the question re: l.C.D is why? Why just...waste your time on it?
  18. well up for it. DO NOT LIKE the new Supes get up though. I don't give two shits about the pants but it's armoured. Eugh. After all that brilliant work Waid did on Birthright, his costume should be entirely symbolic and decorative in my mind.

OMG I'm on Tumblr now. I'm doing a little project I'm calling Man in Full Colour which is going to be a photo diary of my day to day routine. Kind of a visual document about stuff I do. It'll either be interesting or shit. I'm not sure. Either way, follow me. plz
  21. Fair summary. It starts interestingly enough with a cool concept and a dramatic first arc but it goes totally off the rails soon enough. Even the big pitch story, which forms the team in the first place, is rushed, cast aside and forgotten. Personally, I wouldn't buy it. It's not consistent or important enough to warrant spending on.
  22. So which avenues are you currently investigating, pray tell?
  23. leaving out for the moment that you're wrong as fuck, even if that were true you've said already that you have no opportunities to meet women in your usual routine / social life. And you've not had so much as a hand job in over four years. So tell me again why you're not 'there yet'?
  24. http://www.okcupid.com I'm seeing a lot of reasons and excuses here, so why not take steps and do something about it? Not meeting people? There's a link right there for a free dating website. It's how I met my girlfriend and I was in a similar situation to what you just described Serebii.
