That's what she said.

body hair is often mutated by gamma transformation. Red Hulk's identity was a secret for ages when he was introduced it turned out to be General Ross all along, his identity hidden by the sudden loss of an impressive soup strainer of a tache upon transformation.

Funtimes! Lets have some Avengers stills! Captain America - is this the first time we've seen the present day get up? Looks cool Thor This is new too, right? Looks more like his Ultimates get up than in the Thor movie. Bruce Banner...not Hulk Black Widow and Hawkeye. Kind of. Again, looks like Widow gets A) a trim and B) a new get up. She wore navy blue (classic S.H.I.E.L.D outfit) in Iron Man 2 but this looks more like her actual Black Widow costume. Hawkeye in person, if not in costume. Fury on what I'm willing to bet is the Helicarrier bridge. And of course Tony Stark I'm betting that Hulk and Iron Man shots are out because they'll be done in post, but it's nice to see the rest of the team.

It's completely overdone at this point. It cheapens the original every time it's used. Watergate was, unarguably, a monument to the power of a strong, free press. When 'gate' is added on to shit like a publicity baiting tiff on the X-Factor set, it's just depressing.

It's almost a shame this stuff is so expensive - I remember the game in my younger days and it stuck with me as a really clever game with some cool ideas. I'd probably really enjoy it, but I'll never buy in to such an expensive hobby.

Traditionally, Cap fell in to the sea and froze, then gets found by the first Avengers team (nerd tip: Cap isn't actually a founding Avenger). They just added the plane for the movie, so the Hulk scene is truer to the comics. Understandable that they changed it though. re: Hydra weapons: I like that Howard Stark was studying the energy source. It's not made out exactly but you can fill in the gaps and say that study leads to the arc reactor and the new element from Iron Man 2, so the SFX makes sense in that way.
-
Yeah if that's not the main story of a sequel, they're missing a huge trick. It's the perfect tale of Cap in the modern age.

Mega Blates. I'm in.

Saw this with Shorty and co. the other night. Absolutely awesome, I thought. Well on par with Iron Man and Thor I thought (And considerably more coherent than Iron Man 2). The vibe I got was very Indiana Jones meets 60s ww2 movies; it's all heroics and well swung right hooks. Very cool though, and the Howling Commandos make an excellent Dirty Dozen stand in. The best part of the film, though, was how they totally grounded the Captain America origin in a really convincing way. It's pretty meta- the character was originally unofficial pro-intervention propaganda before the Americans joined the war, so in the film they embrace that and make him a comic book spokesperson for war bonds. It's brilliant- services the true origins of the character and provides a solid, believable background that, for want of a better word, excuses that rather silly costume. I've always said that suspension of disbelief relies on a strong internal logic and Captain America has that in spades. The other really great thing about the film is the cast. To a man it's pitch perfect, but even so Chris Evans stands out as Captain America. The script helps, never loosing sight of the fact that Steve Rogers is the hero, not the Super Soldier Serum in his veins.

Halo Reach has improved a lot since launch. More lists, less armour lock and more maps = much better experience.

Defenders sounds rad. Genuinely can't wait for it.

I agree, actually. Because, fuck, everyone knows all you need is material wealth and popularity to be happy.

Umm..well I've nearly finished it, but it's taken me a while. There's a fair few levels (not totally sure how many) plus some fun challenge maps where you have to use each weapon in little scenarios that unlock upgrades etc. I think the game runs a new game+ kind of deal too, with customisable difficulty levels. So plenty of content- well worth a tenner.

if it's in, it'll crash. It always does

I know it's weird but sometimes your suspension of disbelief picks up on weird stuff. For me, S.H.I.E.L.D are too different in the movies for them to pull it off. So far they've been in SUV's, so they can't suddenly turn up in a Helicarrier.
-
Bastion, then: Bit tasty. Narrative style, clever and rich story and a winning art style elevate it but the nuts and bolts game is pretty fun too. It's a dungeon crawler with half an eye on Diablo and half an eye on DMC, if a little lite on both. Really fun though. Bite sized and moreish in the best way.
-
Oh it's definitely S.H.I.E.L.D, but what I mean is that rather than having the entire organisation on a giant carrier like in the books it'll be a smaller ship used by agents like Widow and Hawkeye, and then by The Avengers themselves.
-
The Helicarrier is *very* sixties. I'm guessing it came about in the Nick Fury series which was basically Marvel doing far out Bond action with Fury. The ship there Looks more like the one in Secret Avengers, which is a kind of baby carrier / jet version. Makes more sense for a number of reasons: - S.H.I.E.L.D in the movies is more like Marvel's CIA than the organisation in the books, so them suddenly being based in a giant flying boat is kind of out of the question at this point - It looks cooler anyway - S.H.I.E.L.D being based on a flying ship might make no sense, but The Avengers fit the bill. A smaller ship run by Maria Hill, a small number of S.H.I.E.L.D agents and so on is a cool mobile HQ that also works like the classic Quinjet the Avengers traditionally use to travel around.

This is a rather wonderfully written piece by Russell Brand on Amy, which people should probably read before being judgemental, callous and unbelievably massive cunts. Jus sayin. http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2011/jul/24/russell-brand-amy-winehouse-woman?CMP=twt_gu

haha, good one!

TBH, the walking dead still hasn't produced a scene as good as the opening attacks in Dead Set. What a show.

lol, classic issue.

Don't worry, you're not spoiling too much by knowing that.
