Everything about Cap is just kind of perfected- so he deals with alcohol in his body too fast to get drunk, he heals faster than normal and all his physical attributes - strength, agility, balance etc are just beyond what's conventionally possible for humans. Also, depending on who writes him I think his brain gets a boost too, which is why he can remember the map perfectly in the movie. In the books he's shown learning languages, computer tech and so on at rapid speeds. Course the real 'super power' behind Cap is that Steve Rodgers was hero long before he got the serum anyway, which is what really earns him his place on the Avengers when so many other characters are tougher, stronger and faster than him.

Well Big Issue is a magazine sold by homeless guys - kind of part charity part work scheme. Do you have anything like that? I think a comparable international magazine would be cool.

On the other hand, Aaron has used Idie (yeah?) brilliantly in Schism so far...They're good characters, but their arrival hasn't had the impact that was promised. Considering that Hope went all Phoenix Raptor and shit, which is probably the most potent visual in X-Men history, it's not come to much at all.

I'm enjoying Fear Itself but, as per, I'm actually looking forward to what happens next in Thor, Captain America and the Avengers line. Avengers just seems fucking amazing. There's an interesting teaser image from Marvel too with a new God of thunder pictured who's actually Thor's Celtic counterpart so it'll be interesting to see what that means. X-Men looks set for a major switch up too with Schism and the conclusion of Children's Crusade in the next couple of months. Personally I think the Five Lights story hasn't moved them on enough so here's hoping Wanda reverses House of M somewhat and we get back to what X-Men is really about. Exciting times.

That sucks. Apparently it was down to him fighting against severe budget cuts - so season 2 will probably be less ambitious and less entertaining than we'd hoped for.

Yeah man, it's going to be absolutely sick. Aaron is easily the best x-writer going at the moment I reckon. Kieron Gillen is also pretty good but I think he's struggling with the Utopia setting left by Fraction. I'm hoping he picks up his own game a bit more after Schism ends.

Yeah it was a bit silly. That said, artists should be able to have their own take on characters, I just think they went a bit far.
