re: Uncanny: Only 'arguably' because Avengers Academy, Thunderbolts and Invincible are there. Beats everything else. Though Schism is a mini, it sets a pretty great precedent for Wolverine & the X-Men as a strong contender. Spider-Island is also pretty much amazing (geddit?) It's only because the outcome of Schism interests me more that I'd pick that out of the two. As an event, it's fantastic. The main story in ASM is brilliantly written and some of the tie ins are promising. The Avengers one was piss-funny.

This just in: Uncanny X-Force remains the best X-men book available. Probably the best Marvel book and arguably the best comic book on the shelves full stop. It's absolutely fucking amazing.

my room was really pissing me off recently. It wasn't a total tip, but I basically couldn't add anything to it because every time I put anything down it was on top of a room that was at max capacity. I was literally shifting piles of work and papers around my room depending on which flat surface I needed to be clear on any given day. Anyway, I eventually decided to just blitz it top to bottom so I cleared out my cupboards, reorganised my bookshelves, did some filing and put a tonne of stuff in boxes. I actually have too much free space now, but my room actually functions again. Bonus.

Ended up with 64 views last night. Very pleased. Good comics this week but I'll be stranded at my girlfriend's / work for a couple of days before I can get back and rinse a few

Yeah I think this season has been kind of poor. They opened with some bold changes to the status quo but it didn't go anywhere and it seemed like a lot of effort even went in to reversing said changes, which was crazy. Nice Eric was rubbish, too. I liked the necromancy stuff though as that felt like a proper, quite new threat to vamps. The Panther story was the nadir of the series, though. Either that or Evil Baby. It's close, but both of them made me want to claw my eyes out. Just dreadful. Next season needs to drop the utter shit subplots and move the show forwards or the whole show is dead in the water.

Interestingly, the site and vibe of the app is consciously sex averse and aimed at a female audience. It's going for a friends angle over casual sex. Anyone interested? I have a] a girlfriend and b] no iphone, but I like the idea of a location based social tool like this. Could take off and be pretty great, but is it right for a straight audience?
