I've been considering L4D- she's ok at shooters but that one is particularly intense so I'm not suggesting it just yet. We're on Halo: Reach atm though. We did Borderlands recently but my hard drive got wiped, killing our characters before we did the DLC. Bad times. Portal 2 was a blast too. Better than the main game actually. Splosion Man sounds ace though, I'd actually forgotten about that. I have bionic commando around too. Hopefully not too hardcore...

I've been a little guilty lately of doing a bit of a vanishing act in a new relationship, but I've been on the other side and seen friends just disappear completely so I caught myself and dedicated more time and effort to my friends. Out of curiosity, have you read the book? I read it recently (ish) and then rewatched the movie. I already thought it was good but seeing how the Coens adapted the written word in to the cinematography and direction elevated my opinion of the film to 'mind-fuck genius'. It's pretty incredible.

bit of a back step on the thread but WHAT THE HOLY MOTHER OF SWEET BABY FUCKING JESUS!? No Country For Old Men is one of the best films of the last twenty or thirty years. It's an absolute masterpiece of cinematography, tone, casting, performance and tension. It's absolutely perfect in conception and execution in just about every form you can imagine. Clearly, you associate with shitheads and vagrant fucks.

I love horseshit like this. Attributing pattern to coincidence is classic conspiracy theory fodder and these guys are no different. They take popular imagery like the 'one eye' and say it's repeated because of a conspiracy. It's actually repeated because it's a successful sales technique, but that's a fine detail.
