  1. I'm still going to get it. Frankly, there's been some odious guff surrounding more than a few of the reviews- the poorest all based on a 2 hour review session in a hotel with bots only. The more positive reviews are by writers who spent more time with it. and hell, if it's shit then L.A Noire is out soon. Trade in for that and we're all good.
  2. or: Age of Apocalypse for wankers.
  3. They've been stress testing by turning off dedicated servers. Presumably it's that.
  4. Fuck off and die in a hole. Alone.
  5. I've not read loads yet (13 I think) but..by god, it's good.
  6. Rez, did you pick up The Boys recently? Just started it myself and it's fucking amazing. Brilliant take on super powers and funny as fuck. Had me chortling like a mad bastard more than a few times already. The end of the Tek Knight story was just...incredible. Proper piss funny stuff.
  7. Now now, Michael. Less canned spicey ham from you.
  8. I agree with this - RPGs aren't about stats and *vomit* item management, they're about doing stuff. Mass Effect is a game about a soldier, so making it an action game makes perfect sense as long as the player is able to effect the world as before. JRPG stat based gaming is a poison. Get rid.
  9. That actually sounds pretty rad.
  10. Heh, thought you'd like it. K-dog built a massive model / costume of SD to take to a US convention. Pretty immense stuff.
  11. Kirkman's son being fed to Super Dinosaur. Lol.
  12. The Pakistani intelligence services are notorious for 'sitting on the fence' - they're a government agency but they're known to have ties to, and to provide funding for, radical terror organisations. If the US had informed the Pakistani government, Bin Laden would have been tipped off. The whole country is a complete cluster fuck. One of our own making, I might add.
  13. Is Flashpoint going all Age of Apocalypse?
  14. All this talk of him as a mere figurehead seems premature. He was reportedly still very much involved in the terror plot stuff.
  15. well...yeah. Ok. Guess this is coming out then.
  16. Just caught up on Secret Avengers. It's really solid- even if super hero spies is a bit far fetched it's still pretty kick ass.
  17. People buy pc games?
  18. It's about as reasonable as everything else he's said so far, Moogle. I wouldn't put it past him.
  19. Really looking forward to this. I've been looking for a good online shooter for a while now and it looks brilliant. I just hope that there's a good community behind it. I don't want COD rambo kids in my team shooters!
  20. Yes, because I'm sure the White House considers 'giving the muslim world a martyr' (All of them, too!) part of a desired win win.
  21. Dude, you're so full of shit it's unbelievable. How many witness accounts, testimonies and records is it going to take? You're 'theory' is just you sticking your head in the sand and shouting 'NYAH NYAH NYAH NYAH!' like a toddler because you don't believe The Man. You have no evidence, no basis and no credible reasoning behind anything you've said in this thread yet you still describe the absolute mountain of evidence from the other side 'too convenient' or just evidence of a cover up. So, please. Unless you can provide anything to support your argument, or even a credible hypothesis as to why they'd have not announced his death before, shut up. You're talking complete horseshit.
  22. Fraction? Writing for trade? Holy shit!
  23. It's a really good film. The book is (wait for it...) better, but the adaptation does some great work too. Particularly in the way the donors are treated by surgeons and doctors. It's...very disturbing. Reminiscent of Nazi scientists and human testing, almost. And the broken, shitty toys they get sent as kids are just heartbreaking. On top of that, I thought Andrew Garfield was just terrific as Tommy and Mulligan was pitch perfect for Cathy. What annoyed me though was that they made the film so much more of a love triangle than the book ever was. I can see why they'd do it, but in the process they made Ruth's character so much less developed. In the book, you really understood why they were friends and the way she fantasises about all kinds of things is quite sad, more than anything. In the film she was just a love rival and she came across as a total bitch. It was a disappointing turn in an otherwise brilliant adaptation.
