  1. I was born ready.
  2. Can't really argue there, though honestly it hasn't impacted me at all. Skyrim, Dark Souls and Rayman have more than tided me over in the last few months and there's a tonne of games like Batman I never even picked up.

    Lent

Lent and new year resolutions are proven to be counter productive: they carry negative connotations making them harder to stick to and, when you inevitably fail, you feel worse about yourself for it.
  4. Which isn't even that hard. I recently taught @Emma 's parents how to use Utorrent. Never again. Shows how counter intuitive the whole thing is if you're not balls deep in internetz. Personally, I'm happy to pay for stuff but the market now is ridiculously expensive, old fashioned, difficult and generally unappealing. It's no wonder piracy is thriving.
  5. premium, however, rocks it hard on mobile. Tonnes of choice for popping on to my phone and heading to and fro from work.
  6. Yeah that was amazing. The toys were genius!
  7. Starbucks' profit margins must be huge- each coffee they sell is always going to be the same amount of grounds (or close enough) , but the price jumps between totally unnecessary large coffees is massive. You're basically paying for extra hot water.
  8. usual exchange in every coffee shop ever: Drone: What do you want? Me: Um, a black coffee Drone: Do you mean an americano? Me: I don't know. What's that? Drone: A black coffee Me:....yes.
  9. The Muppets is is gem. Very well done, though me and Emma both felt it was a little too light for adult entertainment (though the self awareness was continually brilliant) and it fell just a little short of the 'pixar line' where it's genuinely brilliant for any age group. Great fun, though, and the songs were amazing.
  10. image is a bit dark but I made this t'other night. Roast chicken and mushroom pasta with pine nuts, rocket and pesto. Boom! Doddle to make too but you'll need 45-mins to an hour prep time as the chicken needs to be seasoned, wrapped in foil and roasted for 45 mins. Means you can get everything else ready without much fuss though.
  11. You're problem now is escalation. Where next? Your next hobby is probably going to have to be at least yoga, probably pole dancing.
  12. @Emma ! Emma! Post the pasta one!
  13. Annoyingly, a recent HDD shitfuck means I no longer have my ME2 save. Tempted to fire the old girl back up and finish again before ME3 but...Dark Souls.
  14. Yep. Wanting to go in as blind as possible with this un' myself. It's not like I'm in need of convincing with a demo.
  15. update: That video works. I tried it out last night and can now get full US Netflix. HASHTAG LOL
  16. Image are more like an imprint than a parent company like Marvel or DC. Like Rez said they don't really have the business model in place that leads to retcons and convoluted continuity. Not that all retcons are bad- Sometimes a totally ass-backward run needs one to undo some crappy plot twist.
  17. So...fuck Netflix UK
  18. Surely Satr counts because the postal service keeps working?
  19. Exactly. Non lethal takedowns should have cost like...85% of the bar (so you could combo it with silent movement for a moment before striking, for example) and rather than the hacking getting you xp, getting inside the room or whatever should have been the reward. Especially as you could smash through walls to get places....
  20. I went for mostly non lethal, but role played the kind of situations where I felt Jensen probably would kill- namely the times you fight the mercs and corporate goons responsible for his disablement and the deaths of his friends. No cops, no civilians or otherwise innocent characters whatsoever. Think I might have killed in self defence too when I was surprised. I really like this game but it wasn't without niggles- I felt that the xp system was fundamentally flawed for one thing and definitely produced more xp for one particular play style over another, but I also had issues with the energy system, which was near impossible to manage or maintain more than one cell over any kind of time. They were pretty serious flaws (More so because the solutions for them both seem so obvious after just a few minutes of thinking) but it shows the quality of the game that you can learn to live with them. Great game, hopefully leading to a better sequel.
  21. I need to get in to Venom. Never really wanted to read about him before but the Flash angle is really fresh. And Remender is probably in my top 3 Marvel writers right now. He's on fire. Uncanny -X-Force is just....so good. It really shows what can be done with an extended partnership between artists and writers too: Although the 6 issue arcs all function as independent stories (The Apocalypse Solution and Deathlok Nation expecially) but Remender never looses sight of the main thread dealing with Archangel and Warren. The only thing I'm not 100% sold on in the book is Deadpool. He's had some character development (and some great lines) but I just don't think he's right for such a serious book. Fantomex, on the other hand, has flourished. He's become a brilliant character with tonnes of depth.
  22. Just found this. I don't even...
