well, I don't like to brag...

4GB is crippling. Demos aren't usually huge but Arcade games are the kicker. These days they come in around 1gb each and you simply can't manage the space. That, combined with the wealth of excellent DLC, means you're basically locking yourself off from some of the system's best games and content. Buy a 250gb. You won't regret it.

Yeah that sucks. I've actually had Rayman for a few weeks though. Still a bloody great game

well speaking for myself, I'm a dirty, thieving asshole, so I've already seen it all. I think that goes for a lot of us here

got a 32" LG with 1080p, HDMI aplenty and various trimmings. We had to dick around a bit with colour and power settings to get the best image but got there in the end. Rayman Origins just....woah. Yeah.

I figured there's enough arnie fans to warrant a thread.

A Friend just sent me this- shocking revelations about the career of Arnold Swarznegger Obviously there's a lot of fans here on the forum so I thought I should spread the word.

Aha, so it only does 720p? Might already have found myself an alternative here anyway, although this is 'HD Ready' too. Only HD device I really have is my 360, though my laptop has a blu-ray. How significant is the difference and, more importantly, can I get full HD in that kind of price range? OK, now we're looking at this http://www.richersounds.com/product/lcd-tv/lg/32lk450u/lg-32lk450

ok my turn! Is this a good deal or is it too cheap to be any good? http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.212-5792.aspx

aw c'mon, that's a picture of James Dyson, with a Dyson!

OK, yeah. That's cool.

My powers must be waning. I can't do anything here! I've used a couple of Western Digital externals and they've been nothing short of exemplary, both. I know a lot of people who buy their drives exclusively too so they're a good bet.

...and completely missing the point of why we have protests and strikes in a democratic society to boot. Great. Great quote I found on the outlandish and disproportionate response that would occur under SOPA

Yep, definitely needs a boost to the selection- it's properly bottom shelf wares at the moment, bar 3-4 foreign movies I'd like to watch. I've already seen most of the really good ones though. On that note, EVERYONE WATCH 'TELL NO ONE', It's fucking great. French thriller, stylish as balls and packs a serious punch. It's fantastic.

I'd say indie is dead, yeah. And good fucking riddance. Rock, though...nah. It's too ingrained - it's the new black. It's not really mainstream per se but there's always blues, metal et al to look for. Personally, my musical tastes have swung round to guitar pop again from years back. Simon and Garfunkle, Paul Simon and Fleetwood Mac all the way. I think that's true of modern groups too, though. Indie as a guitar driven punk offshoot championed by the likes of Arctic Monkeys is over (again, hurrah!) but if you look at bands like Yeasayer and Animal Collective or TV on the Radio, they've taken the 'rock group' and replaced it with the bigger, pop band model of the 60s and 70s.

I have incredibly thick hair- I''m like some kind of mountain wolf or something. Hoping I keep my hair for a good long while from that but two brothers and my dad all have pretty prominent receding lines and one of my brother's keeps his hair shaved due to thinning. My hair is unusual in my family, though, so I'm really not sure how it'll go. At least I know I have the family skull to pull off a decent cropped look. Whenever it really kicks in, I'm going straight to 'mercy kill' mode. There's few things more tragic than a man denying hair loss with a comb-over.

no it's not. The blackouts are a form of protest or activism. If pressed, you could call them industrial action (the sites are effectively on strike) but your definition is completely laughable, sorry.

It's been shelved for now - Obama threatened a veto and the republicans dropped the bill. It'll be back though, and will continue to be championed by technical luddites who do not understand the nature of the internet. Very Bad.

Tonight I might swing by my local library and pick up my membership card. They have a huge graphic novel collection that's available nationally (you just order them in, up to 7-9 at a time from whichever library they happen to be in.) It's a great alternative to piracy. Personally I'm increasingly aware that freeloading is just a really negative thing to do. Yes, it opens up new books you couldn't otherwise afford but in the process you definitely loose some of the magic of really sitting to enjoy the books. And that's not without going in to the issue of depriving creators of sales that could make or break a book's success. So I'll be moving in to more legit waters ASAP. Definitely looking in to buying more trades, too. I mean, Invincible is my favourite book but somehow I don't own more than half the series. That's pretty poor.

Dunno about you, but I've had a weird sense of zen calm- kind of assured that this is all good times with few worries. In my case, I think it hows how much of a crock the whole 'dole scrounger' label is. I'd been unemployed so long I'd forgotten what it was like to live without that low level pressure and stress every single day and the low self esteem. Being unemployed is fucking miserable, no matter how much the right wing press portray it as some kind of holiday.

Fair few of you probably know already, but this has been a pretty good week for me. Almost to the day it's been a year since I graduated from my Masters and I've finally achieved something! I just started a new job at the University of Sheffield doing internal comms stuff. It's exactly what I want to be doing, it's a really exciting place to work and it's just generally the best bit of news I've been able to come on here with since as long as I can remember. Which leads me nicely in to my other, even better bit of news! Me and @Emma are living together! I finally have sdome money so I moved in over the weekend in to her place, making it our place. Pics soon etc. Happy times

Last night I found an awesome sword, a Daedric Bow and a suit of enchanted Ebony armour. L00tz is Serious Business.

@Emma went a while ago and swears by the zoo. But then, she did get triple teamed by goats....

Winterhold is probably a shorter walk, but you need to load two areas to get to the Jarl's wizard's chambers. The Skyforge is probably your best bet, though.
