Updated the first post with a few more rules/guidelines, links to the rounds so far and updated points (hooray for extended lead ). Fish, you just called Shotgun so you're doing the next round. Start prepping, or whatever.

X-files season one Just the first six eps so far - but already the monster-of-the-week thing is clear; Mulder has encyclopaedic knowledge of all paranormal shenanegans everr, and the ability to walk straight to the clue at the crime scene. Scully tags along, laughing her way through the signs. The pair of them conveniently get split-up when there's some paranomal witnessing to be done, which normally comes right after an eerie scene which looks like it's just about to be a reveal-- only to actually be one of those 'rational' explanations. Then Scully goes off, writes up her report to her superiors and somehow forgets to include some simple info -- like photos and fingerprints. Looking forward to the rest of the season, and subsequent ones if I can get a hold of 'em.

I know, it was weird. she just spent most of the rest of the night laying in bed while the occasional nitwit (i.e. me) popped into the room to perform a little dance. I did give her a birthday speech at 11:20, which I reckon worked as a magical miracle potion to stir her from her slumber and rejoin the party at 12:20. Anyone ill? Simply apply a few small drops of my awesome words to the forehead, and leave for an hour... Side-news. Ordered two 12" pizzas and garlic bread for myself 'bout 2 hours ago. Should cure that hunger thang for a few days... The delivery guy looked at me oddly, suppressing a grin at the sight of me in nothing but my dressing gown. Perhaps also why he didn't ask for a tip-- "you wanna tip? How's about the tip of my-- *whizzes open robe*" ... Hells yeah. Oh! And I've watched six episodes of x-fires season one so far. Echo; I doubt it's too late. Not like there's a target final round or anything. Who's up for doing the round after this one? Should I make it so that those who do a round also get a point, applicable retrospectively, in order to encourage more shouts of "shotgun"?

Ashley's just left. Been a fun few days of wii and booze. Been drunk every day for the last two weeks, so this clocks-going-forward business will most likely result in an excuse to miss uni tomorrow and recover a little. Went to a partaay with Ash last night, started off trés mellow, but started to pick up around 11 when everyone (including myself) was suitably drunk. I hooked up a guy and a gal, got a french-canadian girl to tell me she loved me repeatedly, and she cried on my shoulder again. Spilt about five drinks. Also recently I've had dreams where I can speak french fluently, or been able to answer questions (such as one of supergrunch's quiz Qs - the Cloud Atlas one), and wake up with some recollection still intact. Today I plan on watching X-Files season 1

MY DAYZ. Went to huddersfield, got ridiculously drunk. Tried Salvia a couple of times and oh em ef geeee... Also ran through Leeds city centre in effort to find a shop before it closed. Outran my non-smoking, keeping-fit friend too. Ashley's here! Smash Bros, Raving Rabbids (lollers) and Veronica Mars have been had. He's had to put up with my shoddy pasta for food, though. Apparantly we're going to Matlock today. Shorty said it was one freaky town, with a cliff where the sea should be. We've decided to freak him the fuck out and force him to drive us there. mwhahaa! Not posting in this thread for like 4 days means I can't be arsed to remember the interesting things that happened, so you'll have to make do with that. I know how you feel - I had a retinal detachment a few years ago now, and it caused irreversable damage to my vision. The docs reckon it's practically a matter of time before it falls off again, or that my other eye decides to go fuck itself too. I ignored the 'warning signs' for about 3 days with the original detachment, and I know what to 'watch' for... But it's been so long since I actually experienced the signs that sometimes I'm unsure whether it's happening or not. I've had some bad days when I've thought "shit, is it happening? If it is then it means I'll have to quit uni, be blind and shit"... blah. Damn straight, gaggle - you two need to be careful how generalising you're being. I don't know why but I almost wanted to say "fuck you" in reply to those ignorant, stereotypical views. But that would be an overreaction, I suppose.

Bah. Everyone hates dying on the first night. I know that when I find out who chose to off me, I'll be keeping a close eye on them in future games, if you know what I mean. I've been a serial killer before, and I didn't (iirc) kill anyone on the first night. Perhaps I'm saying this just because I was just killed on the first night, but perhaps in future, the serial killers cannot kill on the first night? It gives everyone a chance to be awesome. I don't know if I'm allowed to say what my role was in the animafia (as it was left as 'unknown' in the write-up) but it would've been darn cool. Now that it's taken off, I hope people don't forget about the Thriller one...

I could've sworn we had this thread before... :P I was taught (basic AS psych, mind) that it was to do with pretty much what shino says - something's basically in your long- and short- term memory processors at the same time. In relation to what CTG says; yeah, I know these circuits aren't some physical and separate section of the brain, but they're generally acknowledged to be separate processes, right? I've had some serious deja vu's like what killthenet's described before... Like, ones lasting for minutes where i know where to look for the next thing, and I can hear myself in my head going "...and then an old lady comes around the corner" and she does, or if someone's with me, the usual thing to say is "wow deja vu.. deeejaa vuu... I knew you'd say that... yeah and that.. woah it's still going..."

Some people really are dumbasses if they think that people who do drugs are doing it "because it's cool".
