    I've noticed at work that I do comparably more work than the regular guys. One of them afterwards told me that they usually hire the temps that they've trained in the most areas. They've not trained me in anything. Bad bad bad. Got my hours for the next 2 weeks, and while I pretty much just do 10 this week I'm doing 32 next week. Looking at that then realising I'm getting minimum wage for all the effort makes sad face take control. But I just gotta work my face off 'til xmas. If all goes well I'll have enough to cover rent for the rest of the year. Tomorrow I find out if I'm still a student or not. Really getting nervous.

    So I'm confused. I was told previously that if I failed my retake, that would be it, then last week they emailed me an appointment to talk with the course leaders, now my mum's saying she's got a letter saying that they're happy to allow me to continue with my studies with certain restrictions (noidea). Didn't think I had any studying to continue. Will find out at 2pm tomorrow, I guess. Woke up in a mild rush to eat and sort stuff out before work only to actually look at my timesheet and see I'm in at 6, not 1! Result.

    Just watched Priceless (I think...), which is basically a french chick flick, with that hot chick from amelie, Coco and Chanel, etc (lots of sideboob!) playing one of those hotel whores who slowly falls in love with a bartender who she thinks is a millionnaire. Lots of julia roberts influence, and basically a film for gays and girls -- but it's in french so us manly gorillas can just pretend it's some arty world cinema thing and get away with watching it. 13/20 - Wears 'cute' very well.

    Cheap drinks nights will ALWAYS be rammed. Drink at home plenty first, and buy multiple drinks at once to save having to queue up again for ten fucking minutes. The 'friends' you make in your first week are more than likely going to dissapear in no time. Be patient, you have three years and everyone is in the same boat as you. Really, really do watch your money. At least tell yourself not to spend more than £x a week, and don't feel like you have to go to every night out ever, because there are clubs open every night. Try to consider the nightlife as something always there for you when you want it. Find gamer buddies and stick with them! Learn the joys of drinking indoors, and be aware that most people in halls are going to be dicks, all hyper about being away from parental supervision. And stuff.

    Lol. Just got freaked teh fuck OUT when I went on x11 and it said the next game was tomorrow... then I remembered their crazy european hour-ahead stuff. Pheew.

    You know that trick where you stand against a doorframe and push outwards with your arm as hard as you can, then when you step away your arm lifts itself? I reckon Brown'll do something similar to that. I'll be working when this (and peep show ) are on, so I hope someone here'll summarise the show for me!

    Creating a law to ban something isn't very liberal at all. Surely they should simply ban any compulsory high-heels, but allow women to wear them if they wish. It's harsh to prevent people who feel that they need to wear high-heels from maintaining their confidence in this way. And voting BNP as a protest? That's the most ridiculous idea ever. If you really aren't happy with politics then get involved with it. Start your own local party, get interested. If you're passionate that things are being done wrong, then do something about it. Don't sit and complain and be an idiot like that.

    Nice I'm not too great at time trials and stuff, and never really bother getting faster/better at stuff :P Dan Dare: Sorry I didn't properly sort out playing you at Puzzle Quest last night. Living with 4 dudes and only one xbox is a bit tricky... One is bringing his xbox back after this weekend, so I'll have an xbox in my room... but then I need a wireless adaptor for the fucking thing.

    Ok, someone here must agree with me that regardless of the detail, the essence is that you offered me a lift. I don't have hours on friday, BUT I GUESS I MAY AS WELL GET SOME NOW. I'm not really that pissed off, just in the mood for a tantrum.

    So my chef housemate is totally awesome. Two nights ago he made me stir fry. Last night he made chicken stew and garlic mash, and tonight we have a two-pound slab of pork belly roasting AS WE SPEAK. And he's said he's totally up for cooking for us every night that he's here. We're all going to chip in for the dinners, roughly £2 each a night, and we're going to eat like kings. Yesterday I met nami after work for a few hours - we went to dev green and had a couple of cans. We left because of this; j: "(...) Yes, a sheep shat on me." n: "Well my rats..." Police Officer on bike: "Hello guys" n: "... wee on me all the time" POob: "......" Yeah. It was quite hilarious! The copper was nice, and as we had only just started our 2nd can he let us go back to where nami "lives", which was actually our halls in first year round the corner where a mate's moved back to for his 3rd year. We were laughing all the way from the park to his place, feeling right rebellious. Then things simmered and sillied for a bit, then we went our separate ways. I was gonna stay out with Luke, but... moooney. Went home, ate good, played COD4 and guitar hero 3, started re-watching Mad Men season 2 as I forgot where I got to, and... yah. In other news this morning I puked and broke a glass. Chess club at 7:30 tonight - not been for two weeks but feeling IIILLLLL, and it's a bit of a trek, so I'll probably stay in. And probably drink again for the lols.

    Anyone here seen much of Kenny Vs Spenny? I'm on episode 13 of the first season, and it's just hilarious. In each episode the two best friends compete to win a challenge. The challenges I've seen include who can stand the longest, who can stay awake the longest, who can lose the most weight, who can make the best woman, and so on. Spenny is a valiant, honest guy whose good natured heart gives him the strength to put up with the constant, relentless unsportsmanship; from bribing small children to faking a broken leg, Kenny is basically evil. It's also oddly informative and educational, especially when they do challenges like 'who can go without using their arms the longest', where their ways of dealing for three days without arms really makes you appreciate how difficult it must be for people who live that way their whole lives. Anyway - watch it. Episodes are only 20 mins a pop. Go crazy.
