Felt hugely at home living with shorty and nami. For those two years that place was definitely more home than my brighton house (where my bedroom was painted pink and all my possessions whittled down to a bookcase in the corridor), but brighton city, especially that lil' place called Hove Lagoon, is where the heart is. I think. It's a great place to grow up and be young in, but I do wonder how it'd feel as a grown up. Plus, up north I've made a lot of solid friends that will forever remain in the wrong end of the country, and I suppose I never really feel more at home than with people I feel totally comfortable with. Back south, every trip home is a non-stop tour of a checklist of "people I have to see while I'm here" taht can feel forced and sometimes anticlimatic. Future plan; home is where the soulmate says it is. *shrugs*

Nick Griffin to appear on Question Time - 22nd October 2009
jayseven replied to Nicktendo's topic in General Chit Chat
Let's not debate about who's wasting their time the most, eh? http://www.elthamlabour.org.uk/whats_the_labour_government_ever_done_for_us Yes, it's a labour website so they're going to be picky with which facts they want to present, but honestly it's quite an impressive list of things (which you won't read). What I'm most unhappy with (besides the war-o) is the reduction of civil liberties. How about you? -
Can I buy it next payday? 28th october! I will be richer then

So long as you remember that it's just your opinion and not fact, then nobody gives a crap. -
Moogle dissapeared but might be up for it this time, right? Who else did we have before? Why aren't we seeing more people from teh football thread playing? I really thought it'd be right up their aisle.

Ooh - did you ever get that Legion of Doom CD?

Dude - I really don't have that large an issue with it. You're practically steering me into conflict with this. Just consider including.

Well Villan and Gaggle have secret, cube, rez and ell for 4 of their last 5 games. Villan has me and gaggle has dyson - these will be their hardest remaining games. I'd need both of these dudes to lose/draw more than they win, and it just doesn't seem that likely. But even so, if I manage a full 9 pts I'd be impressively high up the table. But that's a lot of wishful thinking! There are no coasting games in this league anymore. I think the 'new blood' coming in next season will struggle for sure, but not die that easy, and i think the middle league will really step up with the challenge of whoever goes down this year - plus Oddy's new team means there'll be a lot of guys gunning for his scalp. All very interesting - so long as we can keep the lower league open. Maybe having managerless teams is better than having only two leagues?

- Cliques/groups/whatever are natural, and I 'nothing' them. I was pointing out that I could be viewed as being cliquey sometimes, and it's not that that I have a problem with. I have a problem with simply not understanding the point of a post. As a mod I'm supposed to mop up threads to make sure they're accessable to all, so it's often confounding when affronted with reams of stuff that could be relayed on the 'public' message page thing that we have on our profiles now. Yes, it's hilarious that so many words are wasted on such a base and trivial element of the virtual world, but we all have our dents and scars. I still believe that it's better to point the SHIT out. I prefer it when people correct my spelling or call me out on something I've said because it improves me. You're not stellar yet. We do deal, that's why it's typically me who outbursts about this once a month and not anyone else. I dig at a lot of people about a lot of things. Yes, this all came from one word, but that's my glitchy twitch fix and you and others have to sit and deal with that, too. I understand that. There's just no point trying to be poignant or succinct if you then have to explain what you meant. I just figured that in a forum you want to have your voice heard by the largest number of people, which typically means you have to adapt and utilise a register that reaches out beyond just the people you know in real life. Really, though, I just like to write long posts and use fun words. You guys are my yong.

haha - I was just considering the title push. If I win all my 4 games I'd be on 29pts. That would be the lowest amount the winning side has ever had, so I doubt it'll go that well. Realistically I ought to aim for 7pts. I think that's enough for survival. I'm expecting a good change report this year, too. What are the league bonuses?

That's totally true and not stupid at all. -
My original point; he used the word stoic wrong. Contributing to that, now; ... If I have no idea what you, chair, or anyone is trying to say, your opinion or emotion you're trying to convey, then it defeats the purpose of a forum. That is what I pick up on. Not your clique. (we all have cliques. I'm in this so-called 'sheffield massive' that nobody cares about, remember.)

Ahoy thar, maties! You can sit atop your moral high-ground all you like, but I'm in the skies, partying with the clouds, laughing at the shackles on your wings that adhere to the gravity of it all. Fuck profit, man. for £5.73 I sell myself for an hour, and during that hour I earn my company nigh-hundreds of pounds. My soul is owed. Owed!
-
You were wrong because stoics don't squirm. That's it. I'd pick up on anyone using the wrong word like that. The clique refrence stuff is just smoke monsters to me. TO THE ATMOSPHERE! I DETECT A LAVA! That's the irony right there. Does anyone see it, or what? (Hint: cliquey references make it seem more like a conversation between two people [than a...forum])

My wages cover rent/bills for the month, so for a month's food and booze, which is perfectly fine However I owe about £450 rent, so I will probably give maybe £50 to that, then £100 for the month is viable. Work and uni cut down on my goings outs, so that's fair enough! Been sorting out jugglesock today. Got 9 sessions booked at the union, so just need the freshers emails to notify them, then BLAM we're a-juggling again. Old mate's visiting sheff today, but is rubbish at organising, so I'm just gonna grab a mate, go to a pub for a bit until he gets in touch with some form of a plan.

I rock. Boo ya. My team is averaging 8/9 skill. Wishing I'd not been so scared at the start of the season and pushed for more than a draw. Got ANOTHER manager of the round, got the best defense in teh league and nearly the best goal diff too. BUT I'm not out of the relegation battle by a fair old way. Big game against villan on friday... gulp.

I don't give a shit about references that people pass off without citation. Using the words of others is weak. I just pointed you out as being wrong but, oh!, it's a reference so it's ok? References are interesting when both parties involved get it. Stop being so damn cliquey. I'm not a morning person, sorry. BUT I GUESS I'M NOT A STOIC PERSON EITHER.

Went to work 30 mins late, worked 30 mins extra, went to job centre and got promised 150 quidish, went to hospital and got new ear moulds pressed, then promised priority for the rest of my hearing shit. Went to pub with Dan Dare and some of his course mates, who are all probably up their own arses - but I don't know as I didn't talk to them. Instead I drank a cider that smelt like egg. Changed it for a new one. I dunno. Got drunk. Met train conductors. Stuff like that. GOod day. Feel weird. Htaseasetasldktnasdf.

I've changed my tactics and formation for my next game twice already. If I wake up in time, I'll probably change them again. The decision to either stick for a draw or go all-out and LOSE BIG TIME is a tough one... I know my boys have played well recently but there's a lot of FEAR at the moment... I've generally performed well against 64thers, so I really need to look at the fixtures and calculate a few things. The fact that gaggle NEVER changes his tactics confounds me...

Got archibald coid leaving - 36 years old is understandable. A key player in my midfield but totally understandable. Shouldn't have anyone leaving again for a good few seasons now.
