  1. I choose you... Butterbasaur? O.o
  2. Is anyone else finding it hard NOT to compare this to Prime and feeling like Metroid : Other M - whichever way you look at it - comes up a little short? :/ I understand that it's moving the series forward but at what cost? Maybe I just need to play it more but for every one thing that I actually like about the game the more I play it, reoccuring negatives prevent me from fully enjoying it.
  3. Wesley... I'm here to wish you a Happy Birthday. I hope you have lots of cake and penis ... actually scratch that, here's a penis cake as Bjork might say... Enjoooy!
  4. Oh it is, well worth buying the system for... the thing is though you'd be buying the game for the system more like as it costs near enough £100 for a complete copy... It's worth it but... you're better off trying to get it cheaper if you can, I was fortunate enough to pick it up for a paltry £4 from a second hand shop that didn't know what they were selling.
  5. Having to use 'concentration' is the worst ever gameplay 'addition' to the Metroid universe... Ok fine... it works for missiles but having to stand still in the middle of a fight and wait for one single energy tank to be replenished, more often than not getting yourself killed in the process is completely fucking useless! How this idea ever got the green light I will never know, I mean they did playtest this so how could anyone actually go along with this? Wouldn't it have been better to have just had enemies drop health like in every single Metroid game before this? You could argue that it encourages you to become more proficient at dodging/fighting but in reality it just makes certain sections of the game sooo frustrating that it starts to detract from the quality of the game. I understand the need for change but some things should have been left alone and this was definitely one of them! [/rant]
  6. I'm so gonna try this because that's all kinds of awesome!
  7. My copy finally arrived... I'm no longer gonna use Play.com for high-profile releases, ShopTo next time I think! anyway, finally time to play the game! --------------------------- First impressions after only an hour and a half of playing? What the fuck have they done to my Metroid? I'm probably judging it too harshly having barely played the game but... it's just so grating in places but at the same time compelling to play because I cautiously want to know more. The third/first person system works well but some of the script is terrible... combat feels mostly fluid but certain encounters are annoying, the returning enemies are great but some of the newly designed creatures look rubbish in comparison to the level of detail that was afforded by the Prime series. I understand that risks needed to be taken but atm this game feels like a step forward in some ways but a sideways step and even a step backwards in other places... I'm so conflicted right now... I'm enjoying it but I'm just not quite 'feeling' it yet... :/ I will carry on with it though as I'm sure it gets better... ...please tell me it gets better.
  8. This song also makes me happy... ... Violently Happy.
  9. Listening to this...
  10. I've finally finished the game! ... Yes I took an 'X' month break from it but *shrugs* I decided to back to it a week or so ago and saw it out to the end, satisfyingly I managed to get all of the single player achievements in one run... well apart from the Hard Mode one obv... as I started the game on medium. Anyway, I enjoyed it very much and it seems like this game is till very much alive as not only has it had several DLC packs relating to multiplayer and the like - which I didn't get but shall now most likely - but only a few days ago an entire self-contained side-story dlc was released for it which I'll certainly be investigating as it sounds awesome. The ending... was good but a tad predictable... but in a good way... and yes I chose to save everyone... even though I was tempted to kill them... but I resisted, anyway afaik I got the best possible ending so I'm happy. Bring on Bioshock Infinite!
  11. Only if Link gets a new 'weapon'... 'Da da da daaaaa! You got the Fairy-Swatter! Now you'll never have to listen! ever again.'
  12. Well what is it then? if it's no longer the 'inbetween' game then it must be the latest proper entry in the series surely? I guess it doesn't matter... all that matters is that it's COD and it will sell.
  13. No, this is the 'inbetween' game made by the 'other' people though I don't know if it can be called an inbetween game anymore due to the uncertainty of MW3 ever being released... I mean it probably will be released but obv not by Infinity Ward seeing as they don't 'exist' anymore. It'll be interesting to see what Respawn come up with though, but for now I guess this is basically the next entry in the franchise.
  14. They'd be foolish to do away with the Atlus brand alltogether, they've become rather well known over the years, especially recently, it's sad that they soon won't officially 'exist' but the brand should live on by rights.
  15. Happy Birthday Guys! ^^
  16. *high five* get us aye? a right pair of dedicated workers. Yeah but... I literally don't have time to do anything else at work except what I should be doing because there's always something to do, I don't mind so much though because it can never be disputed that I don't actually earn my wage and it makes the time pass quickly.
  17. I work... hence why I'm there?
  18. Dyson! just thought you might like to know that this weeks Live Music Performance on Inside Xbox is from Elbow and it's worth watching if you're on/get the time.

They play Fugitive Motel followed by Switching Off and then finish beautifully with Great Expectations, it's an excellent performance and I'm sure you'd appreciate it so enoy! :D

  19. Wow, this guy was something of an understated legend, renown for the handful of brilliant films that he produced, Perfect Blue was one of the first Anime films I'd ever seen and its always been a favourite of mine ever since... this is sad news indeed. R.I.P Satoshi Kon.
  20. Well I enjoyed the end of it, for what it's worth, it's as if the whole video was set-up that way in that the beginning wasn't very funny, the middle was vaguely amusing and then the ending - childish as it was - was actually funny on a certain level and I must admit I shamefully lol'd at the end so the video served its purpose... in a way... anyway... keep up the 'good' work Rez!
  21. What about that Swordsman who stands alone on an island claiming he's the greatest warrior of all time and that none can stand against him... is there gonna be a quest for that or do you have to do something to 'earn' the right to fight him? I'm looking for a reason to get properly back into playing the game again since completing it and getting 'burnt out' on exploring the map and battling through grottoes... I still like the game... I just... I don't know... I'm not feeling that compelled to play it anymore since playing - and enjoying - it for eighty hours... :/ help?
  22. This is true, as an employee I think it's good that they want to try and provide 'everything under one roof' but at the same time if one of the services isn't up to scratch it reflects badly on the whole store/company. It's nice when these things work out but sooner or later they're gonna shoot themselves in the foot and this might be it... but who knows, could still be good so we'll see, it's basically just another way to shop I suppose.

    Breakfast

^ Having burned your mouth may have swayed your indifference towards them but they are pretty handy if you just can't be bothered to make anything for breakfast. Regarding pastries, you can get them singly at Tesco too, just that the twin packs often work out cheaper is all, I'd have thought Asda would do the same, clearly they aren't keeping up though or just can't be bothered to sell stuff singly because they think there's more money to be made by selling stuff in bulk... which there is but, that isn't gonna sway anyone who literally just wants to buy one pastry but can't because their choice has been limited.

    Breakfast

Recently I've been eating these for breakfast... ^ They're basically breakfast biscuits, you get six packs in a box, four biscuits in each pack, they actually taste quite nice and are currently half price at Tesco (£1 a box) so all in all not bad. I prefer this though... ^ Except in the cinnamon flavour of course but golden syrup is good to, so is the apple and blackberry one, and they all only take 2 mins in the microwave, nom! If I'm at work though in the daytime... ^ Tesco finest Pain Au Chocolat are really nice in the morning if you y'know... feel like eating something with chocolate and sugar in, plus they come in a two-pack so you can save one for later. I used to eat bacon sandwiches quite regularly at work for breakfast - only once a week - because I'm there cooking it all anyway but recently I've just gone off it and prefer pastries atm. But yeah, that's typically what I have for breakfast.
  25. Happy Birthday Molly! ^^
