What about a hidden castle of some description within one of the worlds which allows you to input some good old-fashioned, game-altering cheat codes by hammering in passwords using the conveniently lettered tiled floor?

So... this is looking like it's going to hit 1.5million within the next couple of days. Any ideas for a further stretch goal of 2 million? If it would reach that kind of figure that is, it's pretty good going for it to have even hit the million mark, if it carries on and makes beyond 2 million then even better. : peace:
  3. Kirby Plush is apparently being sent separately so as not to delay the game. I'm more than cool with that.
  4. Partly due to how I review games my progress with completing them seems to have slowed down somewhat, so it would seem that the first 'proper' completed game of 2015 was during the last month so from now on around the start of each month I'll detail the games I've completed, set myself goals of other games to finish and other general progress. ***April*** **Completed** Super Mario 64 - This was quite simply a joy to play all over again from start to finish, yes the controls take a bit of getting used to due to playing them on a pro controller which feels significantly different from the N64 pad but once you've adjusted it's easy enough to make the game bend to your will once more as everything is still very much finely tuned for a 3D platformer and for one of the first to pioneer analogue control it certainly nails so many different aspects in addition to reminding us just how individually amazing each main Mario game is when judged solely on its own merits. : peace: You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. View post in Miiverse *Progress* Phantasy Star IV - I've been making decent progress with this since late last year, playing a fair bit of it in the early months of 2015 as well with the intention of it being my first finished game of the year. Despite owning the game boxed with no manual for some many years now I actually only got around to properly playing it when I purchased my Retron 5, initially I was merely testing cartridges of various formats and over five months later Phantasy Star IV is still in the cartridge slot with my Sega 32X acting as a pass-through so that I don't damage any of my cartridges. I'm about three quarters of the way through the game I reckon and I've been enjoying it immensely as it's such a fantastic RPG which just has it all from the sci-fi setting, amazing line-up of characters, varied locations, excellent humour, an addictive battle system plus much more besides; I won't go into any more detail just yet as I don't want to spoil too much for anyone who perhaps hasn't played it but I did start taking screens with the Retron 5's capture feature and let's just say that I ended up with over three hundred images from the game thus far, I may write an in-depth feature about the game at a later date but for now, have a look at these... 5. Nope... but it will likely come by van because of the bundled Kirby Plush so there's still plenty of hope yet. Will post a pic if it does arrive. : peace: You have any luck yet @Ike?
  6. Skis of Arcadia - The age of polar exploration has dawned upon the world of Arcadia. Brave adventurers set off across the vast tundras in search of treasures untold. And, where there is treasure, there will be Snow Pirates... Crazy Tax - Playing the role of a corrupt jet pilot, you are tasked with flying a plane filled with all manner of crooks ranging from politicians to various foreign dignitaries as you attempt to get them to their destination by wasting as much tax-payers money as possible. Metal Ear Solid - A stealth title where you play as the ear of Solid Snake after being severed following having to endure far too many torturous codec conversations, Solid Earache has no special skills to speak - or hear - of except for the ability to listen in to conversations usually comprising of 'huh?' 'Must be seeing things' or 'what was that noise?' and a particular noise which occurs at a worryingly frequent rate... 'Snake? Snake?!? SNAAAAAAKEEEE!?!!!'
  7. Mine too, get hyped!
  8. This is still pretty rubbish if true, even the original Xenoblade Chronicles had surround sound so it was a given that this would support it. Even the 3DS version seems to have some kind of pseudo-surround...
  9. Ark Souls - Escape from the depths of an abandoned ark as you attempt to make it to the deck to escape, but beware as the spirits of dead animals will ruin you at every opportunity sending you back to the last beast barbecue you managed to reach. Bus-A-Move - A puzzle game set in a 3D world where you're trying to get from one end of a motorway pile up to the next exit, using a half-life style gun you must pick up buses and hurl them towards other buses of the same colour thus clearing a path, but beware because if you take too long then a big tank will come along crushing everything in its path including the player. Hose of the Dead - Arcade style shooter set in a huge garden where you must defend your prized parsnips from mutant moles by squirting them to death with a high-pressure hose, in the middle of summer, when there's supposed to be a hose-pipe ban on; so you must simultaneously avoid the stern gazes of your onlooking, disapproving neighbours while wasting water while they are temporarily distracted by invading badgers from outer space at regular intervals.
  10. *confused* It will have surround sound via Linear PCM surely? That's a basic requirement for all Wii U games I thought? *also awaits the more technically versed response of @Dcubed*
  11. I'm considering picking up Playstation TV now that it can be picked up for £45 though I may wait for it to go below £30... In any case am I correct in thinking that I can just buy it, plug it in, insert my existing memory card, sync a controller and play? Also can I then start a game on PSTV, take out the memory card and then carry on from where I left off on my Vita? This is mostly because I have all of the Persona games to play, this seemed to be the best way to experience them on the big screen without having to purchase them again in disc form. : peace:

Seriously. Thanks, also I'm only going for it due to good timing on a back-dated bonus from work - from 2012 - which just happens to come to about the same amount, so that will be put aside for this when the time comes. : peace: You could say that effectively my place of work is paying towards my place of play. Either way I've completely justified it in my mind now, so no going back!

Call me bat-shit crazy but I've backed £350 for the 64-bit edition! This is my first Kickstarter I've ever backed, I'm incredibly hyped for this game though so it's worth every penny. : peace:
  14. No expiry dates on them apparently, plus they are worth 400-1000 points each so check your old Nintendo consoles or pieces of hardware, I seem to remember getting one with the GBA player years ago. : peace:
  15. Ordered it. : peace: I actually managed to register some of my old console codes including various Nintendo DS consoles and a NES edition GBA SP so I was able to leave some of my 3DS games sealed... ... for now.
  16. I wish I could offer you some advice Cube, all I can say is that you're not alone in your depression, I suffer from it to albeit to a lesser degree but it certainly does have a habit of altering your thoughts somewhat. I hope things manage to work out I really do.
  17. ... I want it! :p I'd better get registering those pins, if this is even still available later today.
  18. That must have been tough Josh my condolences to you and your family.
  19. That's awesome news @drahkon personally I loved playing through DMC4 the first time so I would definitely be on-board for a new special edition with presumably more added content. : peace: At this rate they might as well re-release the DMC original trilogy as well to preserve the series for future generations.
  20. Refuse as you might, the digital Wii releases - welcome as they are - can't be classed as Virtual Console titles but you can pretend if you like. I get what you mean though, it's a decent game so it at least fills a gap for those who haven't played it before or who want to play it again in digital form, at least it's 'only' £13.49 for the first week as opposed to £17.99... Of course I'm not wanting to open the 'big price debate' again but for anyone wanting this, you can either buy it for £5 - £8 physically online or second hand but if you'd prefer it digitally then £13.49 isn't unreasonable if you're going disc-free. : peace:
  21. I'm 29, will be 30 in just over 2 months time, am single, I don't drive yet, I do have a job but one which is only part-time and I review for the site because I still enjoy it. Am I happy? Yes, without a doubt. While I may still be relatively inexperienced in life having only had one relationship, not having really travelled to many places in the world or even managing to move out yet I still consider myself to be successful. Over the years I've played many games, reviewed countless amounts in the past decade and I only now feel like I'm starting to enjoy life, relatively speaking. Naturally I would consider settling down, having a family... if I'm lucky enough to achieve that but I see very little point in comparing myself to others and thinking 'I really should have settled down by now' because it's something which is completely different for everyone. I consider myself to be mature yet that doesn't mean I can't enjoy a bit of childish humour every now and then, or play a game which many might deem to be 'for kids' or collect plastic figures which I don't really have the room for. Will there ever come a time when I'll accept more responsibilities in life? Most probably... but I'm certainly not in any rush, as over the years I seem to have amassed enough games to keep me occupied for the majority of my lifetime so I'd at least like to be able to play through a reasonable amount of them. : peace: *goes back to playing Donkey Kong 64*
  22. This was the first image that came up for me... Hmm I might just end up using that. Anyway, I hope you enjoy playing the game Which reminds me, I must get around to playing it myself so I can review it, that'll be my task for this weekend. : peace:
  23. I got it for £21.90 off Amazon from MusicJapan, currently 1 left in stock new. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Phantasy-Online-Songs-Ragol-Odyssey/dp/B00006IIEU/ref=sr_1_2?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1430003094&sr=1-2&keywords=phantasy+star Well worth the money, so much nostalgia while listening to it the other day while writing reviews, I wanted to set up my Gamecube and start playing PSO again.
  24. No worries. I have a quiet appreciation for figure collecting, there's nothing quite like going for a full set of something and finally achieving that complete collection, especially if it's a rare set of figures. : peace: Plus those Persona 4 figures are amazing, full of life in their poses with a lot of detail clearly put into them, it reminds me that the Persona series is one that's well worth my attention and that I should get around to playing them all very soon.
  25. They have arrived, all separate boxes, no time to check them until later though after work. But yeah, they're heeeeere!
