I know it's besides the point but at least this 'gap' in the release schedule is giving me a chance to catch up with all of the releases we've had in the previous weeks, at this rate I should be back up to date soon. Personally I think releases will be back on form next week, more N64 games I reckon plus some DS titles, followed by maybe some NES and GBA titles the following week, with maybe a SNES blowout - well, two games maybe - the week after that. That'd do! : peace: For now...

A Monster Hunter RPG, announced out of nowhere, with an excellent new visual style as well? Sold!
-
Happy Birthday @Cube! I hope you're having a good day. Also that reminds me... did you end up getting Serenity on HD-DVD yet? If not, PM me as I found a second copy of it which you'd be welcome to have for your collection. : peace:

I downloaded it a week or so ago, thought it was pretty decent! : peace: Overall I'd still rather play Drive Club long term but I'll be keeping my eye on the price of Forza Horizon 2 now for when it drops below £20... but certainly the Fast & Furious standalone game is well worth downloading while it's free, it'll be priced like an arcade game at £9.99 so I would advise anyone with an Xbox to download it while it's still a giveaway!

The latest Smash Wave on ShopTo? You can still pre-order them. http://www.shopto.net/search/?platform=&newsearch=amiibo

Remember when Nintendo used to be known for making good old fashioned playing cards? Those were the days... *grumble grumble*
-
Or when Nintendo start making Pikmin amiibo and they just make lots of the various Pikmin types, but in different poses or fighting different enemies.
-
Essentially yes... they're like Pokémon figures, except there aren't as many, indeed some of them even are 'mon figures but you've gotta catch 'em all... if you can, when they are in stock, funds and levels of sanity permitting. I realise this wasn't a very good analogy. But in the beginning believe it or not, I just thought I'd be buying Mario, Samus, Link and possibly Kirby... along with Villager, just because! How wrong I turned out to be.
-
The worst part is... I can't even properly justify it myself. It's... just a compulsion to buy them so that I can have a set of Smash Bros trophies on display. I'll do a feature for the site on them though when I've got the Smash set if you like? : peace: There we are... partially justified purchase, original content for N-E! Who am I trying to kid though? I know they are just plastic figures ultimately. But they are so shiny... >.>'

Annnnnd the site is down for maintenance, talk about bad timing, literally it showed me the amiibo's for pre-order - after taking an age to load - then I log in to pre-order them and... site down!
-
Hmm what does that mean? Only the XL one you linked to is even appearing on the site now, I bought and paid for mine so surely they won't cancel on us?
-
Cheers for the heads-up @Serebii : peace: ordered the big pack and paid in advance with PayPal, looks like it's day 1 for me! (hopefully)

At the rate they seem to be releasing these games in Japan versus the UK only getting the first game in 2016 sometime it might be better to just focus on localising all three games and sell them to Europe as a three game pack. But then why do that when you can stretch them out over a lonnnnnng period of time, making loads of money and then by the time we actually get the third game, Yokai Watch 6 or whatever will be out by then. It looks interesting enough but when stuff like this gets released in Japan so quickly it just makes me wonder if it's even worth it by the time it reaches our shores. Anyway this series will surely have it's fans but I'm not convinced yet that I'll be one of them. : peace:

Looks suitably mental! Even if it has totally ripped off the main game mechanic from Kuru Kuru Kururin I'm still interested. Now the question is, do I buy it now for Xbox One - it kind of feels like it belongs on that platform more - or wait for it to come to PS4 and become a PS Plus game?
-
Its been out since last year on Xbox 360, PS3 and presumably PC. Who knew? I used to love playing Micro Machines multiplayer years ago. Here's a review... http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-11-14-toybox-turbos-review Hmm might be worth a go. : peace:

I think it was more in reference to Paper Mario : Sticker Star which in terms of gameplay is vastly inferior to say... Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door which for me is still the pinnacle of the series as I'm sure it is for many others. Now personally I don't mind what people like, you can like Sticker Star, anyone can, it's no business of mine and just because I couldn't bring myself to finish the game doesn't mean that other people may choose to persevere with it. The way I saw Fused King's comment is that of jest as I know that he also adores the second entry in the Paper Mario series just as much as I do if not more but that's not to say that someone couldn't just like all of the games in the series but in my opinion there is a gulf in terms of gameplay quality between these two games and I would actually welcome those rumours of a remake of TTYD if they turned out to be true, though if it were me I would have gone with a HD Wii U re-release instead. Either way, love for the Paper Mario series can only be considered a very good thing indeed. : peace:

Isn't that the stage in which you've got to rescue the trapped dolphins and return them to their pod? I think it's also one of those stages where you'll need to swim behind falling boulders to get past the strong upward currents.
-
Another search led me back to here... http://www.n-europe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37225 But we'll see if swapping over for a new Wii U sorts it, if not then it might be worth trying the USB Lan adapter. : peace:

What kind of router does he have? It sounds more likely that it's the console but you never know. Also I don't know but is this of any help? (just found it following a quick google search) http://kotaku.com/5961600/if-your-wii-u-wont-connect-to-your-wifi-router-heres-what-to-do

Shantae is an excellent character though from an excellent game series, one that has risen in popularity over the last few years too. I'm half-tempted to vote you know... But I do also understand that there are also plenty of unrepresented Nintendo characters who would be equally deserving of that spot if not more so, but in some cases it would be a close call.

What I want to know is when we can pre-order the next wave, I'm assuming not for a while being that the next wave to come out - all sold out - are due on 24/04/15 so logically we won't get to pre-order the next lot until at least May... my only hope is that they choose to put them up for pre-order on a day that I'm not at work, otherwise I can just see myself coming back from work one evening, going here and seeing a load of messages in this thread saying... 'Next amiibo wave up on store for pre-order!!!11! go!go! GO!!!' followed by 5 minutes later... 'Annnnddd they're sold out!' I can just see it happening now.

I think it's nice that you can sequence the levels, I shall purposefully not include any of the 'New!' style levels though, I want mine to be all 80's and 90's inspired. :awesome: This got me thinking though... if this is successful which I'm sure it will be and with Nintendo recently taking down the fan-made Mario 64 HD, what do you think the chances are of us getting a Mario Maker 2 on a future console - perhaps NX - which would allow you to make 3D Mario levels inspired by Super Mario 64, Sunshine and Galaxy? Just a thought. : peace:

I can remember handing over £60 in cold, hard, cash to Game when Conker's Bad Fur Day originally came out which was expensive then but being that the cartridge alone can now sell for £100 and a complete boxed copy for £150 or more... I don't feel too bad in retrospect.
-
Well that's more than half the stuff on my list so I'm pretty happy. I wasn't expecting Donkey Kong 64 so soon as a VC title either, plus the Mario Kart 200cc mode! Also, that woollen Yoshi amiibo... damnit! Instant purchase. Some decent Fire Emblem representation there too. :awesome:

It's awesome to think that I can be playing Xenoblade Chronicles (3D) while watching the direct and waiting for an announcement regarding Xenoblade Chronicles (X)
