The description just reads... "Tune in at 10pm UK time tonight to discover a new interactive experience for Nintendo Switch that’s specially crafted for kids and those who are kids at heart." Personally I think it's likely to be an artistic application which merges the best of Mario Paint with Art Academy and possibly a smattering of Nintendo Letterbox. It will likely come with a special stylus for portable mode, utliise the Joy Con motion controls as @Dcubed pointed out when in docked mode or even Tabletop mode. Amiibo support sounds like it'll be agiven, with possible unlockable bonuses such a stamps or even lessons being available depending on the individual or type of amiibo you have. Naturally more figures will be made specifically from this potential new IP which will feature an Artist Character which could even be simply Mario as an Artist although I wouldn't mind Adeleine from the Kirby games. You'll be able to share your artwork by either taking screenshots just as you normally do, there will possibly be a Photo Mode in the software with loads of neat videogame themed frames. Expanding on that, there will likely be different filters to go with these frames, possibly GameBoy style etc similar to the ones available in Super Mario Odyssey. Or it could be something completely crazy... this is Nintendo afterall. See you all at 10PM.

Happy Birthday @Fierce_LiNk Geralt has acquired a cake for you... ...I'm pretty sure he didn't make it but it would be best to eat it I reckon. (you don't want to hurt his feelings afterall) I hope you have an excellent day. (Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng!)

Happy Birthday @Glen-i I sent Marill and Azurill off to the Kecleon Shop to get you an apple but alas... ...Quest Failed. I hope you have an excellent day though. Also... Happy Birthday @bob Coming in 2018... New DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Go on another epic quest from an entirely different perspective! Take on the role of Plink as you... ignore the plight of Hyrule and go off foraging for food. (amiibo sold seperately) I hope you and your pigs have an excellent day as well.

For the third time? No, I don't believe so. Was it an eventful trip?
-
Miss you? Only every day for the past... however long it has been. You're most welcome my good fellow. Glad to see you back and I look forward to catching up with your adventures.

You certainly can, the other evening I was using the extra Switch Power Adapter I have to charge the Pro Controller while playing the Switch in Tabletop mode for a little bit. It's also possible to use a USB-C cable and a plud adapter which has sufficient power, which should be most of them, indeed Nintendo have started selling a new USB adapter for use with the SNES/NES mini and it can also be used to charge the Switch Pro Controllers but not the Switch itself. I bought two to replace the ones I was using with the SNES/NES mini and they seem to work well enough, good for charging Switch accessories and anything else USB-C.

This will be the only EA published game which I'll purchase new, so long as it doesn't get screwed over by microtransactions and loot boxes. Given how much content ended up being released for the game originally, I wouldn't be surprised if they tried it but I'd love to be proven wrong. In fact, if they release this day one with all the content originally released for it, on disc for £30 with no content pay-walled off then I think we can consider it a partial apology... maybe. Anyway, I'm not trying to sound entitled in any way here, it's more than EA clearly have a long way to go before they can regain some if any trust in the long run. As for the game itself, I love Burnout Paradise and I would relish the chance to properly explore Paradise City once again, I do wonder if the soundtrack will stay the same though, if it does then that's great - along with the option to turn off certain tracks - but if they try to change too much then I fear that it might become a bit like having Crazy Taxi without The Offspring (Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah Yeeeaaaah!) so as long as they have the staple tracks then we're all good there. I wouldn't say no to additional content as well, but it would be simpler to just have everything including all original DLC, on one disc for £30 or less.

Erm... back in stock since yesterday afternoon apparently. And it's still in stock... ...go, go... go? I guess.

Speaking of Bloodborne, after having it sealed for over two years now... ...I finally decided that I would maybe, possibly play it but then I checked the value of the original game so I'm not going to unseal it now. However! I did find out that the base game is currently only £11.99 in the sale digitally, plus I already bought the dlc ages ago, it's downloaded and ready to go, so I might play it. But I really should be finishing Xenoblade Chronicles 2... so perhaps after that. It's a good starting point though, I gather? Play Bloodborne soon then pick up Dark Souls Remastered on the Switch in a few months, that's the plan. I played... a few hours of Dark Souls originally, so this time I'll finally give it a proper chance.

Spoiler... ...it does. Or at least I believe so, because of the type of game it is, this then allows you to think about other aspects of the battle more strategically such as your placement around the enemy. For instance, certain attacks are more effective when executed from the side or from behind the enemy, granting you a larger amount of damage given the right circumstances. The more you play, the more it makes sense... this was the same for the *first game as well and that odd experimental title which came out inbetween it but before this, the true sequel. *Disclaimer - based on my own gameplay time alone, I put at least fifty-plus hours into the original despite not properly finishing it, I still enjoyed it a lot, not much time was spent with the Wii U offering despite my appreciation of the battle system and now with this latest title it feels right.

The combat system is explained to you in managable chunks so no worries there, it happens as organically as possible so that you're learning but subconciously rather than it all feeling like a huge tutorial; everything just happens at the right moments and the game has a really good opening which will surely keep you invested, plus the supporting characters do an excellent job as well. Once you get to the first "Open area" you'll know it when you see it, just grind and explore for a bit rather than worrying about where you've got to go, I've had the game since launch and I'm only ten hours or less in and I still haven't got past that first open area, you don't have to go far to find creatures higher level than you so don't worry about dying or anything, especially since there's no real penalty for it. Now, I would have gotten further by now, it's not because I don't want to... because believe me I really do, I've just been really rubbish with games generally in the latter half of 2017 apart from finishing a few titles but I will endeavour to try and finish this game at least before the next big game comes out in a couple of weeks. Keep us updated anyway and I'll try and do the same, because I'm only a few hours ahead, chances are we might even end up playing the game at a similar rate which could be interesting, if you have any questions then just give a shout and I'll help if I can but I reckon you'll be fine.

My Retro Console Collection: Remastered
S.C.G replied to lostmario's topic in General Gaming Discussion
@lostmario that's a fantastic setup you have there. It's the kind of setup I would aspire to have, if I had more space or if I was starting again. As it stands though, I'm going to really try to make the most of the limited amount of space I have left in my room, I'm still some ways off yet but I'll get there. Got a load of RGB scart leads, a scart box, hdmi splitter box, cables and things to make it easy to swap certain consoles out while still having the majority of them setup in a makeshift manner. Really nice work there though, it makes me want to get my setup closer to being sorted soon, as it stands I do have my main 32" Samsung 1080p LED TV set up in the middle which I've had for a few years, with a secondary NEC MultiSync EA234WMi 23-Inch Widescreen LED Monitor purchased only a few months ago which I use vertically for shmups or as a secondary screen for reference while playing games on the main TV and I have got my old 14" portable Minato CRT TV down from the loft which I'm possibly hoping to reinstate mostly for light gun games at some point. It will all get sorted this year... at some point, hopefully soon. -
That sounds like a plan, it's similar to what I want to do only for a different subject matter. I'm not sure on that whole tax thing but if you are planning on making a go of it then it would be good to pay an accountant around £100 a year if you know that you can make at least a few thousand or at the very least hope to recoup that £100 cost, I don't think it's a huge deal though, as I understand it you could start now if you have a vague idea and if you start making money coming up to April then you'd want to get in contact with an accountant, state your intentions, pay them the yearly fee and then hopefully not worry about it... at least I think that's how it works. Why not try making demonstration videos using your graphical talents? Make a few, see if there's an interest - which I'm sure there would be going by some of your excellent previous work I've seen - and then start a Patreon to test the water, see if it's something that people will pay you monthly to continue seeing. I possibly want to do this with videogame content in the future one day as I need to try and make a bit more money than my part-time retail job gives me - which I'm still grateful for - but for the moment, I need to get back into a regular writing routine before I seriously think about any of that and anyway, if I make videos for anywhere to begin with it will certainly be N-Europe so we'll see how things go in 2018. But yeah, it has got to be worth thinking about, surely?

2017 resolution. Play more GameCube games. Yeah, that went well... I thought the Switch would have Virtual Console games by now including GC titles so I neglected my actual GameCube but in fairness it's the Switch's fault. 2018 resolutions. Write more reviews. I was ill in the Summer and in some ways I don't feel like I really recovered though I did manage to cover a few large reviews which I was pleased with in 2017. This year though there will surely be more reviews for Switch titles and possibly retro consoles, which ties nicely into... Optimise picture quality. RGB scart for most of my old consoles because I'm fed up with the lousy picture quality on certain machines and not being able to easily have them set up ready to play, which brings me onto... Sort stuff out. And there's a lot of it to sort through, 2018 will be the year of buying less stuff, selling/giving away/getting rid of things I don't want or need and only keeping the best of my collection which I'm damn lucky to have in the first place. More importantly, I'm still living at home, my parents aren't getting any younger and they need as much of their house back as possible, so I'll be sorting out loads of stuff, not just my own but any general clutter in the house which needs to go, it really is time to sort it all out so I've got to stop making unintentionally stupid decisions and focus on what matters. Make a career out of gaming. It's fair to say that I put a lot of time into games, I still enjoy reviewing and will continue to do so, it would be nice to also make some videos as well though about video game topics which I haven't figured out yet, they may end up on N-Europe (I hope) my own channel or a mixture of the two, it will take a bit of figuring out but it's what I want to do and if I can make it at least semi-sustainable then all the better; one thing is for sure though... I'm going to have fun doing it. There's no way that I'm going to get another part-time job in retail unless I really have to, where I am at the moment isn't bad at all, I mostly get on with everyone and I enjoy helping people where I can by just talking to them and trying to be positive where possible... but it can be really draining, as all jobs can be I suppose. And finally... Play more GameCube games! (for real this time) I love the GameCube, it has a special place in my heart, I officially joined this place when it was Cube-Europe I believe, the console has quite possibly my favourite controller (which I still use on my Switch) and some of the best games I've ever had the pleasure of playing.

N-Europe Old Year's Eve Multiplayer Extravaganza MMXVII
S.C.G replied to Sméagol's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Thanks for the races in Mario Kart. That's all I can really join for but I enjoyed it. -
I'd be interested in all of the extras pictured please Bob. Quite a lot of that I don't have, some of it will be put to good use and some of the other guides my brother will likely be interested in. It will be cool to have that GameCube launch video again, I'm sure I had it but can't think what happened to it plus that blue DK64 case is something that I've wanted for a while. Let me know how much you'd like for postage when you get a chance and I'll PayPal you the money, I think you have my address from when I purchased Overwatch from you, let me know if you need it again though. Cheers for this.

I would most certainly be interested.

Ever since you've changed your avatar, I can't stop reading everything you post in the voice of Nia from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 now. Please tell me I'm not the only one... @Hero-of-Time @Kaepora_Gaebora? So for me the above post was something like... "This 'as bin goin' on for days now. It was annownced on the Nintehndoh site, in the news section of yor Switch, and repourted on various web-sights. If you've actually tayken a look in the Ey-shop you could've sin loads've games on offer. Perhaps the offers don't intrest you, but it should've bin obvious there was a sale goin' on." I'm totally fine with this. Also, there seem to be a good few games on sale currently but I probably won't buy too many, I would have bought Axiom Verge already but I want that physical edition.
