  1. That's a shame, I bought it and from the "quick go" on it last night which turned into "three hours later..." I'm finding it to be a fantastic port. But that's the issue, it's a port, not everyone wants to buy it for £40 over getting it for £10 on other platforms or even double-dip on it which is understandable. Of course, this doesn't take away from the fantastic job Panic Button have done with moving the whole game across to the Switch which in itself is pure technical wizardry. I will say this though... playing this game in docked mode, in the height of Summer... I do fear for my Switch as it was definitely getting fairly warm by the end of the session. Leaving it out to cool down before putting it away seemed like the best thing to do, it will probably be fine but it's pretty clear that this is a demanding title for the machine. As for the game itself, it's fantastic! And don't worry too much if you haven't played the previous game as you will be filled in on previous events and even have to make some choices. I don't know if this happens in the original version or if what we have here is another "Mass Effect 3 Wii U" situation but it's certainly a useful addition so you can make "that" decision. (Trying to keep things as spoiler-free as possible in case anyone is going back to the first game(s) before this one) Worth the money? For me, yes as I wanted to experience Wolfenstein II on the Switch and it doesn't disappoint, plus it's good to support both talanted sets of developers. I completely understand people not wanting to buy it though for various reasons, but if you are on the fence then I'd say it's worth picking up but I'd advise getting a physical copy, as there is an 8GB portion of the game to install but at least it's less than what... over 20GB for the full digital title? #SaveSwitchStorageSpace
  2. Well... On my computer desk I have the PC set up underneath as standard along with a tonne of games and boxes with controllers in which I need to sort out again at some point. Then actually on the desk I have, Sega Multimega 32X on the left with the Wii U underneath it, GameCube on the right, Switch dock in the middle with NES/SNES mini's either side. I have a still reasonably sturdy plastic shelving unit which has a sub-woofer underneath it, AV unit on the lower shelf, PS4 on the middle shelf and Xbox One/360 on the top shelf. Over to the right there's a small drawer unit with a VCR, a TEST PS2 on top, plastic unit with a strong monitor riser which houses my N64, then theres a make-shift retro housing made of two square box-frame shelf things which has my Retron 5 in and right on top of that is my vertical monitor along with various switches, adapters and a capture unit acting as a pass-through. Right in the centre is the main chest of drawers which has the other part of a plastic unit on it with the PS3 (Blu Ray Player) in the middle, then some make-shift TV stand made from non-working NES consoles (they are still intact and haven't been upcycled or anything like that, they are just really... useful) which then has my main TV on top.
  3. You mean... not everyone has their GameCube set up on their desk in front of them so that it's ready to be used at a moments notice? I know... space issues, even I can't have all consoles set up at all times, but for the GameCube, N64 and Megadrive/CD/32X I always have them set up... just in case.
  4. Thanks Ash even a belated birthday thread is still appreciated. I had a good day yesterday thanks, still had work but what can you do? It was nice to come home to a good meal and an excellent slice of cake, followed by a solid eight hours of sleep. [/Rock'nRollLifestyle] Work again today but I've got tomorrow off so possibly some time to catch up with some games in my Switch backlog, I might play a bit of Wolfenstein II or Crash plus a bit of INK.
  5. I believe the PS4 has had folders for a while now, if they are indeed implying that you can move the individual folders to wherever you want them, then that's a worthwhile update. So many times I would put games into a new folder and then not be able to move that folder, it's a small thing but it will make a difference. Just need some folders on the Switch now.
  6. I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling good Animal, hopefully you'll feel better soon. Oh and Happy Birthday! I hope you still get to enjoy your day, just take it easy and do the things which make you happy, even if you can't get to the cinema, maybe watch one of your favourite films?
  7. Congratulations @Cube I'm happy for you. Also, best of luck @BowserBasher you were definitely missed in the Mario Kart League tonight but I hope things are going well for you. As for me... let's just say I haven't given up on the idea of relationships just yet, something might be on the cards this year... possibly. I'm not going to say any more than that at this stage.
  8. Just to play devil's advocate here... What if Nintendo are planning to release a full, proper RPG mode at a later date as DLC? I'm still going to be buying this for the multiplayer, it has been ages since my brother and I have played a good Mario Tennis game.
  9. Well, it was worth a try.
  10. I can understand that, I'd still be a bit annoyed as well, £5 difference is still money which you could have potentially saved. I'll send you the extra £5 if you like? You've helped me out before afterall, selling me game stuff for a good price, so I'd be happy to in this instance. Either way, I hope you enjoy Yakuza Zero, which reminds me... I need to get back to playing it again soon.
  11. Is it really only @Hero-of-Time and I who have such a vehement dislike of budget game release boxart and a strong preference for physical games over digital where possible? This might require a thread rip but, I still really like to collect physcial games and this kind of stuff... just matters. I understand the point from the other side of the conversation, but I can always think of counter-points... Digital is convenient (well yes but is it really that much of a hardship to change a disc?) Digital is cheaper (true... but then it doesn't have the cost of the box or the disc Digital is the future (not for me, while physical games are still an option, I'll buy them) Anyway, budget ranges are all well and good as they let new audiences experience these excellent titles but I'll always hate those altered boxarts with a passion.
  12. Physically? For the sake of £5 I think you've dodged a bullet or rather a "banner" due to the boxart alteration. Digitally? You've still dodged a bullet... well in one way, I don't know... I still like to buy physical games where possible, I'm going to assume you bought the boxed copy though. If not then... I agree, that is frustrating if you've bought it digitally and the digital price has just changed as well. Yep, this... heck I got rid of steelbooks because they didn't fit in my collection, the only ones I'll keep (seperately) are the Yakuza ones... maybe. But yeah, no Playstation Hits banners for me. Fortunately, I either have all of those games already or just don't care for the other titles in that list, so we're all good.
  13. The fiftieth complete history video from Slope's Game Room so of course it had to be F-Zero. I learned a few things I didn't know about the series from this as well. Definitely well worth a watch, it seems to be a good day for gaming videos. Now I'm wanting that F-Zero GX HD port even more...
  14. Another excellent edition of Punching Weight on the Stop Skeletons From Fighting YouTube channel. There's some really great stuff on there, I've been watching them for about a year since my brother told me about them. I'd always wondered about some of those Expansion Pak supported/required titles.
  15. Coming to Switch in 2018.
  16. Isn't this the game that Don Cassanova from Easy Allies has been involved with in some capacity? It was shown in Gif form in one of their videos recently prior to the reveal. (maybe not, he might have just been interested in it, but I'm sure this was the game the Gifs were from anyway) Either way, it looks amazing.
  17. 18% off?!? I bought cables for all of my systems mere months ago as I felt there were worth the price then. But with another 18% off as well... I would order all the cables from them, even the ones for the consoles you only might need, y'know... just in case. Either way, I'd say that's a fantastic deal.
  18. ...yes, you guessed it It's THAT time of year again. Top tier carpet analysis from Easy Allies, the best in the biz.
  19. Huber Syndrome E3 Special has to be one of the best videos I've seen though all of E3. It may well have been topped by one other video though... *drumroll*
  20. Congrats on making the Switch @Jimbob If you're looking for advice on which games to buy, let us know, otherwise... enjoy! You like Monster Hunter though... right? Obviously I'd say that MHGU worth picking up when it's released in August, but then of course I would.
