  1. Well, just in case anyone else has the game... Hunters Hub ID 22-3038-2993-2829 Password the "usual one" (although it is set to no password if you're on my friends list) Loving the new Hunter's Pub area.
  2. Annnnd I'm all transferred over to MHGU! It's a bit daunting, but it works, not everything transfers, mostly just all of your stuff, your HR level caps out at 8 and all of the quests you've beaten. Obviously your guild cards vanish as well, you get a small item bonus if you had Monster Hunter Stories data on your 3DS (or just the demo) and that's about it. Oh yeah and your timer starts from zero again so, I'm going to start putting some hours on the clock.
  3. ShopTo I cancelled my Nintendo Store order when I realised I already had it pre-ordered for cheaper. I am transferring over, so that's at least a hundred odd hours of progress. Thankfully I started grinding through a fair amount of those single player quests a month or two ago, still got a few to go though. Yes, customising the shout-outs would be a good idea, I was kind of hoping that voice chat might have just "worked" with this version, like on MH3U on the Wii U but nevermind. Using the shortcuts and text chat can be fun in its own way, the best shortcut which would apply to Nintendo regarding getting voice chat to work though would have to be... "At least you tried!"
  4. Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate... get! I hope everyone elses copy arrives too.
  5. I'm hoping that by the time I finish Yakuza 0 and Kiwami, that Kiwami 2 will finally be available in a standard PS4 box as opposed to the (albeit lovely) steelbook.
  6. You are correct, this is the current path I'm following as well, starting with Zero, then onto Kiwami, Kiwami 2 and then hopefully later on we'll get those re-releases of Yakuza 3, 4 & 5 so that everyone can get caught up so that they can then play Yakuza 6. I'm currently only a few hours into Zero so let us know when you start playing it, I may get back on the Yakuza train sooner than planned inbetween playing Monster Hunter.
  7. I'd buy it but... I want to get that physical release, so it looks like it'll be a 2019 game for me.
  8. Just about to watch this myself but I thought I'd waste no time in posting it seeing as Mark Brown's videos are consistently interesting and well produced.
  9. It is indeed a nice OS. I don't drive either, I've had lessons in the past and you're right, that driving analogy really doesn't make much sense at all. Perhaps they were trying to say that... "using the OS is instinctive; first players understand what's on screen, take action, then wait for result" To me, just changing those two words makes more sense... I think. Either way, I've never had a problem with the Nintendo Switch OS (except for choosing what to play) but I've had numerous problems trying to drive. In conclusion... the Nintendo Switch is definitely easier to use than a car.
  10. Gunlord X is coming to the Switch.
  11. Is the Steam version... good? Probably a stupid question but I don't know... there could be something wrong with it so I was just curious.
  12. N-E's quick info roundup, thanks again to @Mr-Paul for the press release.
  13. Well, that's me cancelling another pre-order then. I guess I'll just wait for the "Ultimate" version when it finally gets released on disc with the full character roster a year later. I saw that awesome trailer earlier and it just left me thinking... "Oh cool, Soul Calibur is back in style! What's the catch?" and here it is. Scratch that... I have Soul Calibur II on the GameCube (the best version) and it looks great with a HDMI adapter, so I'm not too worried in the meantime.
  14. I don't want to even watch that trailer, I can't bring myself to. I feel bad for Housemarque... obviously I hope the game does well for the sake of the studio but at the same time I have zero interest in it.
  15. Excellent news! (Also, I found a cleaner version of just the trailer, no cut-off at the end) Beautiful... just beautiful. A real "chills down the back of the spine" trailer there, especially from the music. So, a year away then? Excellent, that should give me time to finish Shenmue I&II again.
  16. N-E's quick info roundup, thanks again to @Mr-Paul for the press release.
  17. Yep, Windjammers 2 was the highlight for me. Everything else... good for others but not for me, but it's no big deal as this is just a small proportion of games available for the Switch. Good point there @MindFreak Monster Boy did indeed look fantastic as well.
  18. One for @RedShell
  19. I'm not hoping this will happen by the way, my reactions are just kind of... "well, if it does happen then..." from that angle. I'd be happier not having to buy a new Switch so early on, also I read that 4K stuff as... "It will look OK on a 4K TV" rather than being a huge selling point, I still like my 1080p TV. If they were to do this so early though, they would need more selling points and then a price reduction on the original model possibly. It might be worth noting though that I just had a look at that Twitter link and it just came up with "sorry this page doesn't exist" make of that what you will.
  20. So it begins... I reckon this new Switch will simply be called "Switch Plus" or "Switch +" which will be a two-fold meaning because in addition to the extra power, the "+" will mean something else... ...a D-Pad integrated into the left Joy-Con, properly this time with no limitations, this will either be part of an extra set in the box or you'll have the standard set and this'll be added in. Surely this is likely? While I can't say that I'd be too happy about buying a new Switch only two years after the original console launch, I can see some advantages... If it's easy to transfer, say... in a similar way to past consoles, just wirelessly transfer over and put your exisiting SD card in the new Switch, then that's great. For those who have broken Switch consoles or ones which might be on the way out, this might address that to a degree even though it's an expensive option. You've then got more Switch consoles on the market, factor in that the old Switches might get passed on to others as well. Obviously more games will come out and older titles may be able to utlise the bump in performance. Though I can also see disadvantages... Firstly, you will fragment the user base in some way if there are certain games which will ONLY run on "Switch +" and not the Switch, maybe some will run on both? Only 128GB of internal storage? Certainly, that is a lot more than 32GB but... would it have cost much more to add in say... 256GB? Still... it's an upgrade. If there are no other improvements then I can see it being a hard-sell to some, hance why I instantly thought of adding in that proper D-pad left joy-con. If they can release this and sell it in 2019, then they will do it again in 2021... not necessarilly a bad thing but just be prepared for iteratively updated Switch consoles. I'm sure there are plenty of other considerations but being that this is "just a rumour" for now, those are my kN-Ee-jerk reactions.
  21. You assume correctly. Shy Guy is definitely non-human so that makes my choice easy. Also, cool theme, anything Monster Hunter related is a plus for me.
  22. *Gasps!* He doesn't think Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate is one of the best games ever... lynch him! just kidding... it can be a difficult game to get into, especially based on the demo, there's much you need to learn for yourself in single player which you only really appreciate by going through a LOT of quests, but the more you play, generally the more you'll grow to appreciate Monster Hunter for what it is, at least that'd how I found it to be. Anyway... "at least you tried!" we can't ask any more from you than that, I still think the final game might be well worth your time though. Thank you to yourself @Sméagol plus @Glen-i and of course @Ugh first aid for some fantastic hunts there, I really enjoyed myself. It was great to get the old party back together, even if it was with demo characters, with no name to speak of, I can still see your playstyles through your character actions and it has reminded me why I love playing these games so much. See you all on launch day hopefully.
  23. nah, let's take out the big guy! (I got half an hour either way so I don't mind what we do)
