Oh wow, from those screens alone the game looks like it has a world you just want to jump right into and play. I have my copy but, I'll resist for a while longer for there are still many monsters to hunt... but soon.

Yeah... well I think we both thought that it might have just been a straightforward quest to get the guy up to the next HR level... ...that quest was anything but, I shouldn't have even tried that quest really, I should have told the guy no. I shouldn't have even accepted his friend request. It just goes to show that you need to play a few games with certain hunters before they show their true colours. Anyway, I'm sorry that it has messed up our plans. I'm still happy to hunt with you both, I'll make another password protected hub (pass 4444) but I understand if not.

Sorry about that @Gadwin and @Ugh first aid I didn't know that person on my list would join and do that. They sent me a friend request when I played with them a few nights ago, I didn't know they would put a quest like that up. Suffice to say that they are removed and blocked now, I can make another room if you like? This time it'll have to be passworded though with 4444 just say the word and I'll make a room. I hate it when stuff like that happens, just when we were set up to start grinding for gear as well.

Yes, that pretty much sums up my thoughts as well, I wouldn't say that I'm personally too emotionally invested in Spider-Man but there's definitely something which appeals. Specifically from the element of gameplay, just being able to web-swing around the city and I've always quite liked his back-story as well. I'm not even too big on the films... the last one I watched was Spider-Man 2... the one which released around... 2004 but nothing since then. There's plenty of audio from that Mega-CD game which still sticks in my head, especially the cut-scenes as well. You're probably right, it has been a while since I played it but I kind of know which song you mean, I think I need to replay it soon when I set up my Multi Mega via RGB Scart.

There are indeed, if you like we can get some games in at 8PM (are @Dcubed and @Glen-i playing as well?) then at 10PM I'll be hunting with @Gadwin to get him some new armour. Either way, plenty of Monster Hunting to go around. Who else is playing tonight?

Whether it has been upgraded or downgraded, the game still looks pretty good to me and my pre-order is locked in now so... This will be the first Spider-Man game that I've bought since The Amazing Spider-Man VS the Kingpin on the Sega Mega-CD so I'm still looking forward to it. I don't know how much of a difference there will be between playing on an original PS4 and a PS4 Pro but I'm still on my original console... Just dusted it inside and out so it's ready to go - there actually wasn't that much dust in it as it happens - but better to be on the safe side. Still not too happy about the dlc but... well, I might just wait on a sale for those extra parts of the game, at least we have the base game to hopefully enjoy for now.

I'm glad to hear that you've made some more progress, it'll be nice to see that Obsidian Longsword in action. Because I've only really ever known Dual Blades, It's always nice to see the weapons which everyone else is mastering. (also, I'll try my best not to get in the way with my dual-blade attacks, not too bad on the larger monsters but it's tricky on the smaller ones) Ah yes, I remember having the Tetsucabra set, it's pretty good, I'll help you grind for whichever parts you need for it. Congrats on reaching HR 5! ^^ I'll see you online at around 10PM or so then. Looking forward to getting some good hunts in tonight, I only managed half an hour offline last night after I was done sorting out games, still took out Gammoth though.

It never occured to me that there was even a repair service still going for the PS2! I just figured that because it sold so many, it would be easier to buy another one second hand. This reminds me though, as part of cleaning and overhauling my console setup, I must get around to cleaning out and dusting my TEST PS2 soon.

Well this didn't happen in the end, I had a few games to sort out after work and by that time it was gone midnight. However, it's my day off today and tomorrow so I can definitely get online later today so just let me know what time you're likely to be on and I'll join you if there's space. How did you get on with the village quests and getting some high rank armour? I seem to be on six star village quests now - though I was on three star when I got the Switch version - as I have neglected those somewhat but I intend to beat them all. Still using my Astalos armour set and I think I'll be mostly sticking with it and just upgrading it even further when I get the parts for it. I've used it for so long now, it'd almost seem wrong to use anything else.

My vote goes to Link's Awakening DX because it has been a while since I visited Koholint Island. For the record though, Gargoyle's Quest is excellent and everyone who has a 3DS should download it on the VC and play it. Don't make me go and find my review of it... because I will if required.

New page for a brand new edition of BOSS KEYS A really enjoyable video overall as it explains Super Metroid in such a concise way. (obviously only watch these videos if you've beaten the games before, in some ways though... it can be used as a walkthrough at times) I can't wait for the next edition!

^ I meant to say at the time, that video is pretty insightful and one I'll likely return to once Dark Souls comes out on the Switch.

I ended up plugging away at the single player quests for most of yesterday afternoon, up to 7* Low Rank now. Later on, @Gadwin and I got some quests in online as well, everyone took turns to get their urgents done so that was good. Sorry I appeared to vanish at the end there Gadwin, internet cut out... I hope the other hunter (Hubey) wasn't too annoyed as I would have helped with his urgent as well. I should be around tonight hopefully, I know you mentioned that you've got a few days off as well now Gadwin so hopefully we'll be able to get you some more HR levels and gear. With any luck I'll be on some time after 9PM but it may well be later.

Well, I got back late last night but @Gadwin and I finally managed to get some quests in. Thanks for the quests, we managed to get through a fair few in an hour or so and as I said last night, I'm more than happy to help you get to HR5 and beyond! A few of the other players with us were chucking quests up onto the board like there was no tomorrow but they all seemed to stick around to help for a bit. I did "one last quest" to help them out before calling it a night and playing one more quest or two in the offline village quests, though I'm still on Low Rank for those ones. Monster Hunter for life!

How are you getting on so far @Gadwin? I'm more than happy to help you get some more gear. As much as I'm enjoying G Rank, I'm happy to hunt on any rank, especially to help a fellow hunter out; you've helped me out enough times over the years afterall. I should be about a lot tomorrow, so if you're around on Sunday then just let me know when you want to hunt as we haven't managed to get any games in yet. Also, @Hero-of-Time that goes for you too it'd be nice if we could find a time where we could all play, that way you could both get some quests in and you wouldn't have to worry about random players not playing by the usually well-adhered to Monster Hunter etiquette, it's a real shame that some of the randoms you've been playing with won't help to get everyone through their Urgent quests etc. Anyway, the offer is always there so let me know when either of you want to hunt.

Who else remembers the original Traveller's Tales logo? I certainly do! Great video showing that piece of art behind it from the director of Traveller's Tales to celebrate one year of the YT channel. I only recently discovered GameHut but there are some great videos on that channel.
