  1. It'll be a great tie. Arsenal vs. Celtic. Ooo, I dunno how to call that one. My instincts tell me that Arsenal will persevere, but I honestly can't be certain.
  2. Forget about the penis. She reminds me of the Alien Queen here. Two sets of arms. The only thing Queenie is missing is the second head from under the armpit!
  3. Isn't that what a huge portion of door-to-door sales are based on? If so, that's probably why he turned it down. I remember I had an old Summer job in a call-centre in Brighton, and a friend of mine announced proudly that he was leaving to work for another company. When we asked what he would be doing, he said that he would be going from door to door selling frames. Frames for glasses. He would be going to opticians and places like Specsavers, that sorta thing, but also to regular households. I don't think he was earning a wage from that, because from what I remember this was solely based on commission. I remember a few of us looked at each other and got back to work. He would have been earning good money eventually...maybe...but my word, it ain't easy!
  4. A Penis AND a Vagina? Guys, why the hate? She is living the dream!
  5. That's how I feel. I'm split in two just like you are. When he was living outside of the UK, he was treated as a minor celebrity, and I feel that he was doing his best to rub it in the faces of Scotland Yard or whoever that he had escaped their clutches. I'm not sure how accurate this is, but the Biggs article on Wikipedia also says that merchandise such as coffee mugs and t-shirts was sold with his face on in Rio. And, apparently, he has been back in England a few times, although under various disguises. Forgetting about whether his sentence was actually 10 or 30 years, or what the others had, he broke free from the prison, so he didn't do his time. But, at the same time, was his punishment too harsh in the first place? I don't know. Either way, what an extraordinary life.
  6. I agree with that. As good as Sneijder is, I think it would be difficult to actually fit in all these wide players/midfielders. I'm actually a bit gutted that United didn't put in a bid for him, because I really like the guy. But, saying that, we've just bought in Valencia, and we have a few others who play in that position. This also reminds me of Spurs, who seem to be keen on their strikers at the moment. They're apparently fighting it out with West Ham for Luca Toni's signature. So, that would be Crouch, Defoe, Pavyluchenko and Keane aaand possibly Luca Toni, all wanting to play upfront. I saw a brilliant interview with Mourinho in a magazine the other day, I think it was a Sky Sports magazine or something. One particular quote said that since he's left, he's continued to win things, but Chelsea have not. My instant reaction was "ooooo!" The claws are out.
  7. When you say 1:1, are you refering to the sword fighting? It's really something we have to see in video or moving form before we actually have a proper idea of how it works in the game. From the sounds of things, MotionPlus is essential to the sword-play, and I think we'll see something a lot more fluid this time around. It didn't work all that well in the first Red Steel.
  8. Happy Birthday, TeeFee.
  9. Oh no. I am pretty disappointed by this news. Maybe we should close the site and forum, because if you can't get online, it's not fair that we all can!
  10. I know we have a general news thread thing, but I wasn't entirely sure if eveeeery single piece of news is meant to go in there, or just small-time news. So, I thought this deserved it's own thread, because it is quite interesting, and there may be some good stuff to talk about in here. ~ ~ ~ Train robber Biggs wins freedom Great Train Robber Ronnie Biggs has been granted release from his prison sentence on compassionate grounds, Justice Secretary Jack Straw has said. Biggs, 79, is severely ill in hospital with pneumonia and doctors have said there is "not much hope" for him. Mr Straw said the decision had been based on medical evidence that Biggs's condition had deteriorated and he was not expected to recover. Biggs's son Michael told the BBC he was "absolutely delighted" by the news. Biggs was given a 30-year sentence, but after 15 months he escaped from Wandsworth prison in south west London by climbing a 30ft wall and fleeing in a furniture van. He was on the run for more than 30 years, living in Australia and Brazil, before returning to the UK voluntarily in 2001 in search of medical treatment. He was sent to Belmarsh high-security prison on his return before being moved to a specialist medical unit at Norwich prison. A Ministry of Justice spokesman says Biggs's licence conditions had to be officially signed-off before he is officially "released". That is expected to happen some time on Friday morning. Source: BBC - The Full Article is here, and it's worth reading, so do eet. ~ ~ ~ So, he's being released from Prison, and I guess he now has his "freedom." However, I guess there is split opinion over this decision to release him. He was ordered to serve a 30 year prison sentence, but subsequently escaped and has been living as a fugitive and a "celebrity" in Brazil. He has only served a fraction of this sentence. What do you think? I think there are quite a few interesting talking points here.
  11. Hmm, I think it's probably best to wait and see some actual footage of somebody playing the game, to see how well the motions translate to what happens in the game. I don't know if anything like this has been shown yet? It sucks waiting for all this footage, but that's what needs to happen before we can make a good judgement on this. So far, it seems good, but it's all just talk. I need actionnnn.
  12. You need to stay. Seeing your avatar makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. It's like an orgasm. Doubled. Ooooh baby.
  13. Oasis. Ever since I was young, I've been listening to them. Many things have changed in my life, but my love for them has always been there. They were the band that got me into music, and now I enjoy learning and playing instruments as well. Thank you, Mr. Noel and Liam Gallagher. If you were in charge of the World for one day and you could create a new rule or alter an existing rule, what would it be and why? It doesn't matter if it's really light-hearted or serious.
  14. That reminds me of the time that we sponsored an African (I think) child when I was in Primary School. Our School sponsored the child and we did fundraising stuff and paid so much a week to fund thiiis. I don't remember ever seeing pictures or letters, but apparantly we got them. I reckon the child was actually from another part of Newport. Probably the Headmaster's son or something. Who knows. Hmm, this scheme does seem a bit pointless. "I've adopted a word." "ok." [/conversation ended] Setting fire to 20 quid notes will be just as fun. Wee, look at the buuurn.
  15. I would love an NHL game on the Wii. I used to play one of the older games on my megadrive, when IIIIII WAS A YOUNG WARTHOOOOOG. Might have been 96? Excellent game. As with Snowman of Dark, I think the new look for Madden looks quite nice. But, then again, I'm not a diehard of the series. American Football confuses the Keanu Reeves out of me. It's good that EA are doing well, because I do think they have somewhat turned a corner in the past few years. I want Grand Slam Tennis. I've been playing a lot of Fifa 2008 lately for the Wii, including online, and they did a great job with that. It just goes to show that if you put the effort in, then the games can do well on this system.
  16. I also watched Terminator 2. It is a very different film compared to the first one, it seems a bit lighter perhaps. The Terminator was pure man vs. machine, whereas this was man + machine vs. a liquidy metal machine...thing. For me, the character of Kyle Reese just makes the first film more enjoyable. The Terminator in the first film is also very, very cunning. How it finds Sarah in Tech Noir, then the Police Station, then the Motel at the end. It's excellent. The T-1000 loses John and Sarah at the Mental Hospital and doesn't come into direct contact with them again until the freeway chase at the end. It's less of a "chase" movie than the first film, which just edges it for me. Buuuut, they are both highly excellent films. We're talking 10/10 quality for both. Me and ViPeR/Joe were watching this last night, and we both thought that the special effects are just so, so good even today. This film is also highly quotable. BECAUSE YOU TOLD ME TO! I HAVE DETAILED FILES! hahahahaha.
  17. Noooo. I was actually thinking of watching Home Alone 2 today. Coincidence? I think not. R.I.P, Mr. Hughes. You've done some pretty cool stuff that people will remember for a very long time.
  18. Ibiza? What is this? The 90s? Have fun, sucker. Today was ok. I feel pretty tired from gymming eet up over the last few days, so had a day off from that today. Did my daily rounds looking for teaching work and still nothing. Roll on September! Spent a big part of the day playing Fifa online again, and I was pleased to see that I had refound my ability to play properly, unlike yesterday where I sucked monumentally. Also, played Ine on Smash Bros. Brawl, and she won most of the games, I think. It was pretty close, thouugh. Had a bath, too! So, that made me feel less sluggish, hehe.
  19. This is a great find. Probably the funniest thing I've seen in ages. Had no idea what to expect when I opened that link. Hahahah. Wait, one more: Oh God, this is too much. Hahaha.
  20. Pfft. Thanking someone with one button is not as fun as mentioning them in a post.
  21. Of all the cool things that the Transformers do, he chose that one. Forget about turning himself into a Truck, or a Jet. Missed a trick there. Also, off topic, but the smell of petrol is wonderful. I love visiting petrol stations...dunno if I'd drink the stuff, though. My head says no.

    hi

This was actually quite witty for you. I'm not saying you're not funny, but you should use more humour, duuude. Welcome, xgmx. The thing is, you have an unpronounceable name. At this stage, without knowing a single thing about you, you remind me of the artist formerly known as Prince. EXGEMEX. I'm guessing it stands for something. The XG bit makes me think of X-treme G, but the MX throws me off. I will find a link. Also, now that you are here, please leave your Soul in the box next to the door. You won't be leaving now.
  23. This was very harsh, but also quite funny. Ooo, you devil. Hmm, a hobby, eh? Well, at the moment, I'm into keeping fit, and it can also be a fun and rewarding way to spend your time. So, that's one thing to go for. The other thing I would suggest is reading. You could borrow books from mates, the library, or go out and buy a few to spend your time. If I had a bit more money, I would get more books, because I love reading. The final thing I'm going to suggest is, as Rizz said, take up an instrument. Very fun, and again, very rewarding. Like new riffs or songs is brilliant, there's a great feeling of accomplishment there.
  24. Close Enough. The name Tallulah is in there somewhere, too.
  25. Holy Sheeeet! Today has been a quiet day. Although, I have been drinking large amounts of teeeeea. Somebody stop meee.
