I went to the train station today to book my tickets to get to London. The woman at the station who I first saw initially tried to charge me 63 quid for an open ticket, but then did say that if I gave the exact times that she could do something a bit cheaper maybe. So, I went home, wrote down the times (which I should have done first time around, but I forgot as the sun was shining nicely outside, and I was excited about that more than the tickets, haha), and went back to the station. Spoke to another ticket person, and my tickets now come to a grand total of 44 quid, minus the cost of using the underground. However, it does mean that I am two hours early getting there, before my actual check in time, and two/three hours waiting around when I'm coming back the other way. Still, 44 quid + the underground tickets...that is not exactly much cheaper at all than it is to get from London to Belgium on the Eurostar. And, it's actually a fair bit quicker, around about an hour. Hmm. I was so hot and sweaty from the walk and sunshine that I had another shower when I got back home, heh.

Nintendo’s Patented Horseback Riding Wii Controller
Fierce_LiNk replied to Dante's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I'm glad somebody said this, although it looks like it has been overlooked. -

I thought the Community Shield game was quite an enjoyable one. Probably one of the better ones in recent times, I think. I loved the battle between Evra and Ballack, particularly when Evra "took out" Ballack, earning himself a yellow card shortly after Chelsea's second goal. Evra is half his size, but bluddy hell, he's got a bite to him! It was disappointing to lose the game on penalties, but then, it's not really the end of the world. As Ramar says, it's effectively still a pre-season friendly. But, it was good to see Nani get on the scoresheet, because he has an important season ahead of him. It's a shame he dislocated his shoulder, but I hope he'll be ok for Sunday...even though I'm not sure he will be. And, also, it looks like Ben Foster is "injured" and won't be playing in England's friendly on Wednesday. What do you reckon the chances are that he'll be playing on Sunday against Birmingham?

It's a common thing that people do wrong, I think. I'll try my best to explain it: So, here's a picture of some guy chest-pressing (Its not me!) And, if you look at this next picture: You can see that the guy's arms are in-line with the back-pad. The handles are still close to this chest, so it's still strengthening your chest when you push back out. But, what this guy was asking was for the arms to go behind the pad, so that the handles were pretty much on-top of your chest. Actually, I just realised what you meant. You're thinking of a chest-press when you're down flat on the bench? Exactly the same thing. Putting the arms/shoulders behind you, heh.

So, how is de Weight Loss going, suckers? I'm knackered from the gym, agaaaain. Although, there is this one kid there who is doing my head in a little at the moment. Basically, the gym is on two floors, where the majority of treadmills, cross-trainers, weight machines and bench pressing stuff is. So, it's the main floor, and it's pretty big. Now, downstairs, there is an area with loads of dumbells and barbells, and a huge mirror so you can see what you're doing. Now, this is in use 95% of the time, and there isn't much privacy, so I don't use this too much. Upstairs is a lot quieter, but a lot smaller. Basically, it's one biggish room with a few treadmills, rowing machines, cross-trainers, exercise bikes and a few other weight lifting machines. And, there's also another mirror with weights next to it. So, I use this one whenever I want to use hand-weights, because it's generally a lot quieter, and I fell like I'm less in the way there. So, when I start my workout, I hit the treadmill, then spend a lot of time downstairs using the machines, then come back upstairs to use the handweights. I split my time between the two floors. Now, there's a skinny asian kid who also goes to this gym, and he's been going for as long as I have. When I started going, he was already there, and he was probably there for some time before I was. So, one day, I'm randomly using the hand-weights, and he tells me that I should use the machines downstairs if I want to get bigger. I thought to myself...what? and then took another look at him. He's been going very regularly, yet he hasn't even moved up even slightly when using weights. Then he said "Leave all the smaller weights to me!" and I chuckled a little. Then, today, I was using the Seated Chess Press and he was using a machine which helped with leg raises. Now, when it comes to my technique, I make sure that I get everything spot on. I read the instructions for every machine that I use, and I going over everything in my head to make sure I know exactly what I'm doing. Coming to think of it, it must be pretty funny watching me, heh. So, I start to do some Chest Pressing, and the guy looks at me (whilst still leg raising) and says that I should be bringing my shoulders back so that my elbows finish/start waaaay behind the pad which your rest your back on. I do a few more chest presses, always conscious of what my movements are, and my technique and motions all seem fine. Each machine has a set of instructions next to it, and it clearly states that the arms/elbows should be finishing in line with pad with which you rest your back on. If the elbows or arms go further back, you risk doing yourself injury and you're using too much of your shoulder and not your chest. I thought about what he was saying, and then I casually ignored it, haha. I've come home, looked about on the net, and I've watched some video demonstrations which back up what I've been doing.

Happy Birthday, Mcj. Didn't you do the new Terminator film, by the way? M is for...Mothercare. But, at the age of 21, you are no baaaaby. C is for...Cameron Diaz. There's bound to be a similarity in there somewhere. You're both cool. Yes. Although, one of you is significantly hotter than the other. Mmm. Diaz. Mmm. J is for...Joke! Because this was a light-hearted post, just intended to make you smile. I believe it has worked. Hooray!

It's going to sound quite immature, but I laughed like a hyena at that. It's the first time I've seen this video, but I quite enjoyed it. The multiplayer made it for me! Haha.

Only if you don't use the word "civi" again.

There should be a difficulty selector like the one when you start Resident Evil, when you originally start your life. Mountain Climbing and Hiking modes. So, you choooose your difficult. There should also be options to "up" the difficult when you reach certain points. So, if eet's too easy, you make eet more challenging. But, if eet's too hard, then be it easy! Also, you can change the displaaaay options. Goodbye short-sighted ness!

With people like that, it's best to just nod and smile, and basically just try to keep them amused. They're the nutters and live-wires. Say one thing, and it'll start them off and you never know what could happen. You never know, he may find somewhere better to go, so you could end up seeing less and less of him. Well, if you're changing jobs, then you'll be seeing less and less of him anyway. Result!

That guy sounds like a tart. You should have kicked hiiiim to bits. And then, poured little bits of him into a vinegar pot, then sprinkled him all over your chips. That would touch the fecker. I had a boss who reminded me of a Ricky Gervais and Richard Attenborough when he was in The Great Escape. Maybe we should get these two guys to meet. I heard that was the ending of Ghostbusters that they wanted to write, but went with the whole Zuul, Gozer and Keymaster/Gatekeeper thing instead. My day has been ok. Watching England collapse in the cricket was pretty strange. Pretty poor score. And, I'm knackered from the gym. My arms want to just sleep. They are tired, bless them. Also been emailing back and forth to a job agency regarding one of the jobs. I bet the woman who is looking after me is sick of the sight of me by now.

If I were in a game, I would love to have an amaaazing twist, where I help the main character throughout...but at the last minute it is revealed that I am infact the villain of the game. It would kinda be similar to Trevelyan/Sean Bean's twist in Goldeneye, hehe. Playing villains just seems more fun. My ability would be the ability to confuse your enemies, so that their attacks hurt themselves. Mindfuck! Yeeees. It's kinda like the Confusion Pokemon move. Actually...it is the Confusion Pokemon move! Either that, or I would be Frog from Chrono Trigger. Broadsword plus other coool swords, but I think he has tremendous courage.

I knew somebody would pick up on that. I had originally typed "I love the smell of wood", but that would have been a death sentence.

This is lovely! When I was a young underscore LiNk, I used to loooove playing chess. I've collected a fair few chess sets. A lovely wooden set that smelled absolutely beautiful! Love the smell of wooden stuufff. A glass chess set. A marble chess set which I picked up from Saudi Arabia when I went there with my family. And, a Simpsons Set, and finally, a Star Wars Episode 1 Chess Set. I still enjoy playing whenever I can. I'm not as sharp as I used to be, unfortunately. But, wow, that set does look very delightful! An Ocarina of Time chess set would be brilliant.

It's pretty simple why so many people are not satisfied with Top Gear this series. It's similar to "Second/Third Album Syndrome." The creators look at what they've achieved so far, and they always try to better it. How do you improve things? Well, you take all the best bits from the previous series, and then you improve on that. Right? Not entirely. A lot of viewers are finding that the current series is a bit un-balanced. It's un-balanced because like music artists, they try to improve upon their past successes. With a show that has been going for many a series such as Top Gear, the danger is that it becomes boring if you keep doing the same thing. However, they've fallen into another trap where they've perhaps tried to do too much when really simplicity can be best. The danger with trying to do more daring things is that you overblow things and try to make it too much of an "epic." It's a common problem that all good tv programmes or music artists or film directors encounter. However, it can be overcome. The problem is when you set the bar really high, there is always that drive to set it even higher. So high that it can sometimes become unattainable. The creators just need to go away, look at restoring that balance, and come back with that desire to make another great series.

I meant standing up to wipe. Haha, shitting from a height...that would terrify me. I'd make a mess and it would go all over the seat or floor or some shit (haha) like that. Those instructions were for how I wipe. You know what I meant! Bastardfuck. :p

Whoa, that is actually pretty damn sweet! I love watching Dragon's Den, but I have only recently got into it in the last year or so, but I've seen quite a few repeats of the older ones. Pretty strange that he got the money without actually showing it working. But, he got the money, so...a winner is him. Now I want one!
-
I am a stander! This whole sitting whilst you're shitting thing really confused me. I stand, but I poke my bum out, I guess. I'm also bent over and facing the wall, kinda like at a 45 degree angle...maybe it's weird? Heh. In Mario Kart, whooo is your Nintendo character of choice?
-
How exactly does that work? What does it do? I'm having a slow day.

I'm gonna try and take this thread seriously. So, the one thing I'm looking forward to at the moment is seeing the film "Moon." Words can describe about how badly I want to see this. It's out already, I think, but I haven't had the opportunity to see eet yeet. It's not a product, as I can't own it...but I'll certainly own eet when it comes out on the doovde.

Sorry to hear that, Mr. Dare. *man hug* If it would make you feel any better, I could throw a grope or two in there, as well?

I saw that and was just about to come in here and post about it. I swear that I read earlier that Hull were the ones in the running for him. Hmm.
