It's weird. If you take all of my friends or people from my year in school, half went to Univeristy. The other half got pregnant, married or pregnant and married. I mean, that's really it. Either the one camp or the other. My back is still feeling tired from the gym the other daaaay. First day recovery pains, I love it. So, I decided to go to the gym to do some leg work. My Dad was all "ooo, its too cold, you'll freeze, you'll slip on the ice, you'll freeze whilst you're on your arse from the ice!" I just said "shut up." Bluddy sissy man. It wasn't too bad out there. Basically, if you stay on the remaining snow, you'll be fine. I didn't have any problems walking there, although it took me about 30 minutes today, so a bit longer to get there. I was knackered walking back though, damn squats. I've got cravings to eat something yummy. Like a nice yoghurt. Or toast. Mmm.

You can't win them all, haha. It would have been horrific to have opened my eyes and seen Orlando's face on her, though.

Because we're a nation of safety obsessed whingers. (I got rid of the health part, because as a whole we're too fat to even remotely deserve the health bit ) I was surprised to see that Vieira made the move. I thought it might have just been newspaper talk. But, fair play, it's good to see him back in the Premier League. I miss the old Keane and Vieira rivalries. So, Owen Coyle has taken over at Bolton now. I'm still undecided if I think it's a good move for him or not. Really, I would have prefered for him to see the season out at Burnley, where he has started. He's done a good job so far, and I would've liked to have seen him finish. Saying that, Bolton are two points behind Burnley with 2 games in hand.

I remember watching the first Pirates film with my ex. I didn't like it, felt really bored watching and just didn't really care about what was happening or going to happen. So, in the end, I convinced her to have sex. When we finished, the film was over and we watched something else. Robin Hood Prince of Thieves I think. I saw the second film in the cinema, and thought that was ok at best. It's just a very ordinary film, nothing special about it, except maybe Johnny Depp. The films are too long for what they are, though. Just too long. Yeah, they look great, Keira is hot, so is Johnny. Yeah, some parts are a little amusing. But, there's something that doesn't feel right about it with me.

The film does ask you to suspend your disbelief.

Top 10 games of the decade 2000-2009
Fierce_LiNk replied to killer kirby's topic in General Gaming Discussion
There's not really any order to these games, because I enjoyed them all but for very different reasons. I can't say which one I enjoyed the most, because it's too hard a choice. I've also gone by what I enjoyed personally, so what games left me thinking "shit, I completely enjoyed myself." They're probably a bit different to what the rest of you guys chose. 1. Eternal Darkness I was simply addicted to this. Played through it multiple times, in order to finish the game with each of the artifacts. I love this, simply one of my favourite games of all time. Graphically, it has a gothic feel to it. The sound effects, voice acting, musical score and the sanity effects are really the reason why I rate this so highly, though. 2. Perfect Dark I'm not that big on my shooters, but Perfect Dark is my favourite FPS that I have played. Being an N64 addict, I thought this game was way ahead of its time. There just simply wasn't anything like this on the N64, in terms of multiplayer anyway. Being able to have splitscreen and the option of selecting bots. Not only that, but the ability to assign teams, and give orders to the bots. Bluddy amazing in such games as Capture the Case, where you could get two or three of them to guard the suit/briefcase. It was just so intelligent. The singleplayer may have dwindled towards the end, but it was still a great ride. 3. F Zero GX Very, very tough. Very, very fast. But, infinitely rewarding. One of my favourite racers of all time, and a huuuge improvement on what was already a classic with F Zero X. I love this game. It looks beautiful, it plays like a dream, and there was just so much to do within it. It had everything. Content, replay value, accessibility...Wii Edition please. 4. Majora's Mask After Ocarina of Time, it was difficult to imagine the next Zelda being half as good as it, or even topping it. But, if any games comes close, it is Majora's Mask. It took the look and feel of Ocarina, that familiarity, that essence, and it completely reworked it to give you something completely different. The time mechanic is still talked about to this very day - some love and some hate it. However, it worked, and this game featured so many memorable moments. Such as the music changing its pace on the third day, the masks themselves. And, finally, the giants stopping the moon from crashing down. Brilliant. 5. Super Smash Bros. Melee I was blown away when I played this. The sheer amount of depth within this, both in singleplayer and multiplayer is astounding. Not just in terms of gameplay, but in terms of content. There's just so much to do. Even after all these years, I still don't have everything. It's true, Brawl carried on this trend and took it to the next level, but it all started with this. A remarkable game, and a superb game that only Nintendo themselves could produce. 6. Super Mario Galaxy I've always been a Mario fan. Mario 64 was a unique experience. Sunshine took that and added Fludd to put its own spin on it. But, Galaxy completely flipped things around. Literally. No props needed, just simple Mario platforming, but given a twist of its own. Completely magical and majestic, and it really has to be played to be believed. So many wonderful Galaxies and memorable moments. I think this will be remembered for years to come. 7. Killer 7 I followed this game for a long time, but my god, it was an experience to play. On first impressions, it may seem like an empty on-rails shooter, or standard fare. But, there's a lot going on underneath the surface here. It speaks for itself when a 72+ page FAQ/Guide is created to explain the plot of the game...It definitely left you scratching your head, or wondering if you just saw what you think you saw. Not only that, but each of the Killer 7 (bar maybe Kevin) were fantastically created characters, even given their own personality, their own voice and persona. I don't think I've played anything quite like it since. No More Heroes might be the closest thing. 8. Pikmin You should all be ashamed if you have forgotten about this. One of the most beautiful and breath-taking games I've had the pleasure of playing. It's simple, yet it somehow leaves your imagination captured. I've yet to play Pikmin 2, but I will do eventually. It won't be to everyone's taste, but it definitely leaves you with a warm feeling inside your belly. 9. Resident Evil Remake A surprise addition, but I had such an amazing time with this. I love Metroid Prime, and that probably deserves to go in this list. But, for some completely unknown reason, I think this is more my sort of game. I love games where you feel uneasy playing them, and that is how I felt playing this. I wasn't quite sure what would pop up around the next corner. I was never quite sure if something would crash through those windows I was walking past. I was never at all quite sure what the sound of those footsteps wer-OH MY GOD ITS A CRIMSON HEAD. You are dead. 10. Twilight Princess Just to clarify, I enjoyed the Wind Waker. Yes, it hard charm. But, it didn't grab me in the same way Twilight Princess did. If I'm honest, I find the Wind Waker to be a tad bit over-rated by Nintendo fans. Great game, but for me TP is the better experience. One of the finest experiences I've ever had gaming, and I will remember it purely for the ball and chain weapon. Haha. Its just classic Zelda, but done well, given nice visuals and sound treatment, but important of all, that gameplay is top notch. Its juicy, it sucks you in, and you can't help but keep on playing. When I picked this up, I just did not want to put it down. 11...because I'm not sure if I can count Tiberian Sun, as the game was released right on the 1999/2000 borderline. So, that's my magic number 11. If this game were a woman, it would be Ine. So hot. Titans. Disruptors. Oblisk of light...*drools* -
You don't want to see the non 3D version? I'm not sure I know anyone who watched the non 3D version, so I can't ask what they made of it. My initial thought would be that some of the more beautiful scenes may lose effect. I know Ine didn't really get all that excited about seeing it (3D) beforehand, but I think if it needs to be seen at all, it has to be seen in the intended format, and that's in 3D.

I thought the best bits of Avatar were the night scenes on Pandora, and the lesser good scenes visually were the fast ones, like you say. I agree with Chairdriver, the forest with the illuminated plants really were beautifully created scenes. I love how Cameron created such a world. What would have made the film more enjoyable for me is if Cameron had dropped all the scenes with the military men and their gunzzz, and just focused the whole thing on the Na'vi. I hear there's a sequel, so I'm very hopeful about that.

Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing with Banjo Kazooie. Surely that is a contender for one of the worst gaming titles of all time. Even the abbreviation is S&SASRwBK. Just look at that boxart, half of it is taken up by the name of the game. It just sounds pretty tacky, and I'm a little disappointed in SEGA.

Hahahah. I had noticed. I feel like a proud Father.

I don't think I've traded a game in since...actually, I don't remember. I had a second Sega Master System for some reason, so traded that in around 8 years ago. Apart from that, I think it's better to keep a hold of your stuff. I know lots of people who get games, play them, trade them, use that money to buy more games, play them, trade them, and repeat. But, it depends on what you want to do. Be greedy, I say.
-
I'm really in the mood to play the House of the Dead games. I checked on Amazon, and you can get 2 and 3, Overkill and the Hand Cannon for 35 quid. Must. Resist.
-
Do you mean trading in Metroid Prime 1 and 2 on the Cube, and 3 on the Wii and trading that in for the boxset? It depends really, are you much of a collector? Do you want to play all 3 again on the same system using the Wii controls? I'm not sure how much you'd get for the games. I know I'm going to get the Trilogy eventually. Really just to have all 3 on the same console with the Wii controls.

So, I started playing this again, this time on my Wii. I really love the Return to the Megavents level and the Rendezvous with Fate section, too. That part where you put on the space suit, very nice. I'm at Chapter 6 now, and I just do not want this game to end. The Flamethrower is a truely great weapon. I love toasting shit. Playing some sections of this game is basically like being in the film Aliens. I'm a huge fan. My Mum picked up a cheap Wii Peripheral for a few quid not too long ago, which is kinda in the shape of a magnum, but with a larger barrel. I've been using that, and I must say that I do find it pretty comfortable, haha. I've used a Wii zapper beforehand, but I think I actually prefer this peripheral. Also, probably playing this in the early hours of the morning before bedtime is not a great idea. I hope I have some glow-worms so I can pop to the loo before bedtime.

That Karate Kid trailer makes me die inside. What do they hope to gain from this? Why can't the people of today just watch the damn originals? Great films, and they are classics. Will people still be watching the new one in 25 years time? I hate this culture of remaking everything.

That's only if you want to have the "Originally posted by Dazzy/someone" bit at the top of your post. So, if you see somebody's post and think "I want to quote that", then you click that , which then takes you to the posting editing stuff. If you don't want that, you could just select a quote tag first or type in the tags manually. Then, beneath this post where it has all the other stuff posted by other people (the topic review), just copy and paste the stuff you want to quote and insert that into the middle of the tags. So... Reply to that Reply to that, too.

It's easy, sucker. All you need to do is put the quote tags around each part you need to segment. For example, I'll take the first three paragraphs of Daft's. If you look at the fact that the PS3 and the 360 offer pretty much the same thing, you'll see that the combined userbase is about 12 million more than that of the Wii. You might think combining the PS3 and 360 is a bit silly but people only really talk about having a Wii60 or a PSWii. You've got a clear segmentation of the console market; the family friendly Wii and the HD entertainment centres of the 360/PS3. (Bar the few exclusives they have exactly the same games and they make up the vast majority of the games for the systems.) The Wii is clearly built on fair weather gamers. The unrelenting sales of games like Wii Fit and Mario Kart, combined with continued under performance of 'core' games, show this. These people are not going to flock to a WiiHD of Wii 2 - no chance. They aren't gamers for the most part and they're having enough fun with the Wii. On top of that, why on Earth would Nintendo want to release a new console so soon?! It's a ludicrous idea. The PS2 hit well over 100 million units sold before the PS3 came out and the Wii is selling faster. Not to mention, Nintendo are making a killing. Yes, third parties aren't, but why does Nintendo care? Now, what you do is put the quote tags around each paragraph. You can do this by just highlighting each paragraph and then clicking that quote button. This one: So, select that first paragraph of Daft's and hit the quote button: The Wii is clearly built on fair weather gamers. The unrelenting sales of games like Wii Fit and Mario Kart, combined with continued under performance of 'core' games, show this. These people are not going to flock to a WiiHD of Wii 2 - no chance. So, put the quote tags around the bits you want to segment, then just leave a line or two, and insert your stuffs.

[SPOILERS!!] The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Fierce_LiNk replied to Dante's topic in Nintendo Gaming
The Wind Waker was released in America in March, and then May in Europe. So, Spring/Summer. Although, I'm pretty sure that the other 3D Zeldas tended to be released towards the end of the year. October, November and December time. Hmm. -
Equally, there are too many out there who groan about everything, including all of the wrongs, and never talk about the rights. There should be a balance. Not everything is "nice" but not everything is bluddy crap neither.

Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles
Fierce_LiNk replied to CoolFunkMan's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Are you sure it's 260 thousand, and not 26? James McGeachie posted on the other page saying it was 26. There's...kinda a difference in both, heh.- 415 replies
