  1. Fletcher does a good job in covering ground and protecting the back four. He's not had a great season, but when he's playing well he's very important. I'm disappointed they weren't up for it. Liverpool played well in midfield, and got forward well.
  2. Well done, Liverpool. United were fucking abysmal. Apart from Berba and Smalling who tried hard for most of the game, the rest of the team may as well have not turned up. Dunno wtf Nani was thinking for the second goal. Van Der Sar has had better games as well, spilling that third goal. Can someone also send a memo to Carrick, giving him permission to play a forward pass? The ball doesn't have to go from side to side. Also, when three of our first choice centre-backs are out, is it wise to go 4-4-2 when away from home? The defence needed protection, yet the central defenders are immobile. Why wasn't Fletcher playing?
  3. What are the reasons for it not being a 9 or 10/10 game? I would be one of the ones saying it's one of my favourite Wii games. It's probably the closest thing we've had so far to the 2D games but in 3D. The Prime games are on another level, because they offer something entirely different. The Prime games are based and centred around exploration, whereas Other M is more story driven. Like I mentioned above, Other M is (in my opinion) closer to the 2D games than the Prime games. But, it's good to have both. The more Metroid we have, in any form, the better. I could do with another Other M, or even a game similar to Prime.
  4. I don't agree, but each to their own. I do agree with this, however. Due to being busy with work and not being around, I've had to put this away...until today. I sat down and have done the Arbiter's Grounds, and just doing some odd jobs around Hyrule. I tell you what I enjoy, the sense of scale in the Desert. I also like the aspect of the area being a prison in the past. Also, riding around Hyrule with one of those Hogs that those Goblins have. I spent a fair bit of my afternoon just doing that.
  5. 30: Motorstorm Pacific Rift?
  6. I've seen those trees before... 30: Crysis? It's probably wrong. If it isn't that, I have another idea on what it might be.
  7. Join me. I've sat on my arse all day playing Twilight Princess.
  8. ...what? Ok, seriously. Its Fucking love Koffing. Plus, he looks so happy. Koffffffing. I laugh everytime I see his face.
  9. It adds to the hilarity of it, blud.
  10. It will still sell out, though. The pre-loaded content does look pretty great. I've always thought it should be compulsory for a new system to launch with a game. Like with the Wii and WiiSports. It should always happen.
  11. I actually hope all 25 of his pre-orders go through. He'll make N-E folklore/history.
  12. Hahahahahahaahah. Nick Frost does seem really out of place though in that trailer. Looks like it could be a laugh.
  13. Yeah, I pretty much agree with all that you're saying. In fact, if the game is built with motionplus in mind from the start (as in, it's centered around motionplus), then there's a greater chance of the game using it well. The negative experiences on the wii seem to stem from the games where the motion control is "tacked on", particularly with earlier Wii games. But, games which are built around the motion controls seem to be much, much more well received. Games like Silent Hill and Red Steel 2 (even stuff like ExciteTruck) were awesome because of the fact that they built the entire game around those controls. They were integral.
  14. Ashamed to say I laughed at that. Blade Sprinter is another potential. Anyway, iiiifff we don't pay attention to this thread, then this film won't exist. If we don't think about it, it doesn't exist. Ignorance, you see. Its bliss!
  15. Right, I've been waiting for years to see Jose Gonzalez. I'm pretty bad when it comes to knowing when bands or artists are touring and stuff. He's coming to the UK on the 11th April. Wohoooooo! Ine doesn't come to the UK til the 12th. These things happen, right? But, the major pain in the arse is that we originally had the ticket scheduled for the 11th, but changed it as its my housemate's birthday on that weekend. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. Typical, eh? On the plus-side, he's touring, so I just need to keep a look-out for more dates. Cmaaaan.
  16. Hey Rummy, you love Jose Gonzalez right?

  17. I dunno. The past? I'm looking for it as well. Cheapest I can see for it is about 40 quid (sealed and stuff) on ebay. Less than 30 is optimistic, I think. Want.
  18. Have we won the thread? I think so, mon frère. I find de Blob quite Zen. There's minimal "combat" if you can call it that. Zack and Wiki is a good shout. Rhythm Paradise, if that hasn't already been mentioned.
  19. Suddenly, I am taking notice of this game. Monster, eh? Gimme Excitesomething. Another ExciteTruck would be brilliant.
  20. I used the search function, but it is pretty shit so not sure if this game has already been mentioned. Electroplankton. All you need in life. What about going old school and playing some Theme Park?
  21. I haven't played too much of the game. I don't own it and there's too many other games that I want (plus it's still full price). But, the more I play of it, the more I do grow to like it. It is very random, the tracks are somewhat difficult to get used to and it can seem quite an unfair game. But, it can also be pretty great fun. This looks pretty fun. Some of the videos I've seen have made it look like an ExciteTruck-lite. Two questions: - Is the game online? - How do the gameplay mechanics work? It looks like its simply time trials, but are there 2/3 lap races at all in this game? If not, does this make the game too short?
  22. Do you mean sales wise?
  23. I hope it doesn't happen. But, you never know. The sidescrollers are special in their own right.
  24. I've watched and rewatched this trailer 3 or 4 times, and I can't shake this image of Conan the Barbarian from my head. I think it's the music.
  25. I agree, but the thing to remember is that Mario is much more accessible than any of the Metroid games. They're a bit too atmospheric or gritty for some. Also, Zelda and Mario have a lot of pulling power. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if some gamers buy new consoles and systems and just buy these sorts of games. F Zero GX absolutely kills Mario Kart in terms of content, yet Mario Kart will remain the more popular game due to its ease of accessibilty. Anybody can play it. Same with Mario really. I love the look of this, but I also hope that this doesn't mean the end of side-scrolling Mario, if Nintendo start to push free-roaming Mario on handhelds.
