  1. Internet man hugs for Serebii. I will get ye a drink one day, of your preference, in a bar or pub. Again, of your preference. Also, Raineeng, your family is batshit crazy. Make your way to England. Ine is coming here. It's all the rage. We have a Lego shop.
  2. Yeah, well I had to climb through 4 and a half inches of snow. Cross-legged, through a mountain of vinegar and cheddar crisps, on the way to my work, delivering baby snow leopards to the Indians in Merthyr Tydfil.
  3. I'm watching Dylan Moran: What it is on telly. I am in love with this man.
  4. I agree with this. I understand paid DLC has become a big part of the industry. However, it's not a favourable part, as far as I'm concerned. It can be pricey, and the money does add up. Given that you can pick up a great deal of bargains nowadays thanks to online shopping, the preowned market and so on, I'd much rather spend the money on another game rather than getting a few map packs. DLC is a great idea. Paying for it is not. Fan made DLC is brilliant, but we don't see enough of it on consoles. Maybe I'm just old school, but I'd much rather pay for a game once, rather than having to pay again and again to suck every bit of life out of it. Like Hero of Time says, it's an option. For those who want it, it's good. But, for me, no thanks.
  5. You could always buy Darren Bent. The guy is on form at Villa this season. *troll face*
  6. If he's dropping deep or going wide, who's the other one up top who can poach the goals? That's the problem for Liverpool.
  7. I'm not comparing goal difference. I'm comparing goals scored. If we were doing goal difference, then Liverpool have a better goal difference than anyone below them, so the position is about right. Suarez will just take time. As will Carroll. The main issue is that Liverpool need someone in now to score goals if those two are not scoring, which has happened quite a few times this season. Another issue though is that Liverpool regularly play with one up top, so...it's limiting there. Either the player would have to come in and displace Suarez, or they'd have to be one of these guys who could play multiple positions, or Kenny would have to change the system, or something. It's occasions like that when playing a "safe" 4-4-2 makes things easier. It also means the person up top has somebody to work off of. Sometimes I think Suarez needs someone up there to help him out.
  8. No, the problem is definitely goals. I just checked the stats and Blackburn have actually scored more goals this season than Liverpool have. They've scored more at home, more away, and are at bottom of the league. There's just not enough goals being scored. Suarez is a dangerous player...but, at the moment, it only looks like him and Steven Gerrard who have the potential to bag goals. Unless it comes from a set piece or something. Liverpool will sign somebody in January. Maybe not a high profile player, but just somebody who can come in and score goals. Looking back through the results now, Liverpool's highest scoring victory in the league was a 3-1 win against Bolton at home. Defensively, they look fine.
  9. Very happy with today's result. A very makeshift team, mind... Pleased for Berba that he got himself another hat-trick. It's good to see that the guy isn't in the papers week in week out demanding a move elsewhere. I hope for his sake that he gets some more games, because he's a quality player and should be playing every week, especially when he's playing like he is. On another note, Demba Ba: The guy can't be ignored. I thought he was good last season, but he's something else this season. He looks like scoring everytime he plays. Wouldn't be surprised if Liverpool put a bid in for him in January. They need someone like him.
  10. We don't do Christmas presents at our house. So, I'll be getting/giving mine with Ine when she gets here, and will probably do my housemates gifts at the same time. My housemate is also celebrating her birthday this week, so I've got her Hotel Dusk (she only really plans games with a "story" and she seems to prefer games with good character interaction/dialogue, so this seemed like the right way to go), season one part one of Thundercats and UP on Blu-ray. My Mum celebrated her birthday last week, but I missed it as I was away. She's (surprisingly) mad about action films, particularly anything with Clint Eastwood. I bought her the Dirty Harry Collection. She's been given that, seemed pretty chuffed with it.
  11. Had a longish playsession yesterday and really enjoyed my time with the game.
  12. Merry Christmas, football thread people. You are my favourite thread people.
  13. Merry Christmas, N-Eeeeeeeeeee. We rock. Except Ashley. Am I doing this right, Ell?
  14. Booooo. The originals are great stuff. I love them. They do progressively get worse, mind. The first two are actually quite good on many different levels. There are some parallels that could be drawn to social statuses in our own world, which apply to the apes in the film.
  15. Fuck yes. New Franchise 3DS is my most anticipated 3DS gaaaaaaaame.
  16. I bought Ine fuck all.
  17. quadrilogy quadrilogy quadrilogy Planet of the Apes Beneath the Planet of the Apes Escape from the Planet of the Apes Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (basically, Rise is a remake of this) Battle for the Planet of the Apes
  18. Loved the opening post, Odwin. YOU FUNNY. To Ramar, Thomas Vermaelen says: "I am looking forward to your birthday, have a good 'un." To Retro_Link Rihanna says: "I bet you wish you were this Microphone."
  19. I bought some guitar strings today. Was tuning it earlier and the high E string just snapped. I've been meaning to change the strings, so ended up popping into town, buying some strings and getting them attached there. Whilst I was there, I ended up getting Hotel Dusk for my housemate for Christmas. She mentioned that she hasn't played it, but likes the look of it.
  20. Some of those designs for Ghirahim are interesting. I quite like the one in the top hat. The top left one reminds me of Edward Norton in the first half of American History X.
  21. Watched it yesterday. I thought Spurs looked great until Chelsea scored. Then, Chelsea were on top for the majority of the match, after that. Second half seemed pretty flat, in my opinion. For most of it anyway. It's a shame Defoe wasn't fit, because he would have done a lot more than Pavlyuchenko.
  22. I'm allowed to hog her. I have snared her in my trap and now she belongs to meeeee. [/sting and the Police] You need to go get your own Belgian Hot White Chocolate. Or, witte chocolade, as they say there.
  23. I think it's getting to that point now where we just simply need to offer up the next female that joins the forums to Serebii. Like a sacrifice to the Gods. Except not to a God. Just Serebii.
  24. This year has gone well for me. I've wanted to get much fitter, which I have been. Been improving with guitar and the drums, so I'm happy with that. Agree with Dog-amoto, making changes everyday is far easier to keep up with than making a resolution on New Year's Day. I guess if I had to make one, it would be to start up a band. I would love that so much.
