  1. The touch panel is a bit under-rated. I can't wait to see what it'll be used for in the future. It's not a massive ball-ache to use either and you get the feeling that devs aren't under pressure to plan whole games around it. It's there if they want to use it, but not essential. I see you've played InFamous. What's next?
  2. 9 league goals and 11 assists from 34 appearances. That's pretty good coming from an attacking midfielder/winger. He's just turned 23. He'll be a success, imo. But, that's a looooooooot of money we're talking for potential. That Borini deal is very good business for Liverpool if it goes ahead. As for Remy, a good striker but I wonder if Newcastle was his level. Not sure he'll be a success there. It was always going to happen, unless they went out first and bought players (high quality players) to convince the other players to stay. As soon as Lallana went, it had a domino effect and players wanted out. For the club, they had to sell now as the value for these players will drop (with the exception of maybe Shaw). There's no way Lambert, Schneiderlin or Lovren will/would have a better season without the likes of Lallana or Shaw playing with them and Pocchettino managing them. So, it was inevitable really. Unless Southampton stuck their feet in and said no...which they were never going to do with that kind of money being slung about.
  3. I want it, but also feel incredible guilty about all of the unplayed Wii games I've got. Couldn't bring myself to buy another one knowing that it wouldn't be touched for ages.
  4. @Serebii: If you're happy with your job, social life and you're still regularly participating in close encounters with the opposite sex, then all is good. I'd be getting worried though if I was continuing with this particular lifestyle and I wasn't getting anywhere close to the last on that list. For a prolonged amount of time.
  5. Dat conversation. Yeah, most Mums are like that. You dun goof'd brah by asking her to pick that up for you. You may get lucky, but I think Nando is on the money with this one. Also, on the subject of Mums who play games: My Mum has a DS and used to really enjoy Brain Training. The 2D Mario games were quite accessible to her. Anything beyond that was suicide. I think I tried getting her to play Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and she got annoyed with it really quickly. A step too far, I feel.
  6. Best post evaaar. I find the 3DS really boring, tbh. Why do I feel like I'm still waiting for it to get going? Monster Hunter should have been here by now, that's killed me. There just doesn't seem to be anything truly ground breaking like there was for the DS. Where's the next Hotel Dusk style game, for example? But yes, the bit that annoys me is the part I bolded. There's pretty much no reason why Luigi's Mansion or Kid Icarus belong on a handheld instead of a home console. Luigi's Mansion was MADE for the Wiimote. Can't believe we didn't see a decent Mario Tennis game for the Wii either YET the 3DS has one. Just...am crai. I wonder just how much the 3DS has hindered the WiiU. Take Kid Icarus, Luigi's Mansion, Mario Tennis and Mario Golf, put them all on WiiU with HD and Wiimote controls...suddenly the WiiU's lineup doesn't look too terrible.
  7. Looks like James Rodriguez is going to Madrid then. Talk of a £71 million deal. Welp.
  8. How many of you bitches have played Cel Damage for the Cube? I loved it back in the day.
  9. I'm playing a lot of Watch Dogs at the moment and am getting to grips with this idea of open world gameplay. I know that the next Zelda has been said to feature elements of this, so I thought it would be an interesting discussion point for the future editions. What exactly does it mean by open world? To me, when I think of open world, I think of two things; Freedom of exploration and the ability to approach problems in numerous ways. First off, let's look at the first part: Freedom of Exploration. I'd love to see a Zelda game that takes elements of a game that I very much enjoyed on the WiiU...Arkham City. Now, what I mean by this is that you have your "main story" or "quest" that you embark on. Aside from that, you also have numerous additional (and optional) sidequests that feature different enemies and storylines. They are almost worthy of being part of the main quest themselves. For example, the Hush or Deadshot missions feature you taking part in investigations, keeping the mechanics varied to the main overarching storyline. How can they use this in Zelda? Well, what if you had different and optional regions of the game that you didn't have to go to to complete the main storyline, but featured its own unique element and sidequests, etc. For example, the main story line could see you (for example) aiming to defeat Ganondorf. What if there were additional quests in different areas that saw you trying to stop Zant from usurping the throne? What if Twin Rova were cooking up spells that caused certain townsfolk to be sick? Defeating them, thus curing the town could open up additional quests or even give you rewards. Another thing that Arkham City did well is that there were tons of collectibles that you didn't need to collect, but you could do if you wanted to. I feel that there are elements there that could be incorporated within Zelda to make it an even more enjoyable game. Right, that's the first element over with, now onto the second: The ability to approach problems in different ways. Watch Dogs does this really, really well. For example, when infiltrating a gang hideout, there are so many different entry points. If there are 10 guys that are in the hideout, there are usually just as many different ways to get in. One hideout in a car parking garage featured the following different ways: 1. Walking through the garage and up the ramp to the second level. You could then distract the first guard or shoot them, or take them out quietly from behind. 2. Using a piece of machinery on the outside of the building to make it up to the second floor undetected. 3. Using the stairs at the back of the garage to make it to the second level, take out the guards there either by using stealth, run and gun, hacking the environment to explode certain things. 4. Use the stairs to by pass the second floor to get to the third and work your way down. 5. Go to the top level, use a vehicle to drive your way down and work your way from there. These were just some of the ways of approach the mission. What I'd like to see with Zelda is more freedom with how to approach a problem. If you were handy with the bow, for example, what if the game enabled you to use this as your main weapon throughout the entire game. I feel that as so much emphasis is on the master sword, the additional weapons are sidelined. To its credit, Skyward Sword gave us a possible hint of what's to come with the upgrading aspect. What if you could upgrade the bow in such a way (Tomb Raider style) so that you never had to use the sword if you didn't want to? That's what I'd like to see, giving players the freedom to play the game how they want to do it; use stealth if you want to. What if there was a way to go through an entire Zelda game by using the bow to cut ropes that would allow barrels from above to fall on enemies/use the environment to hurt creatures...without you ever actually having to hurt them directly.
  10. I've been itching to see this and have finally accomplished it. As a huuuuuge fan of the series (old film series, the new film/s and even the tv show), I was relieved that it didn't suck. Part of me did wonder if the brilliance of the first film would overshadow this one, or if the bar had been raised too high. Thankfully, it's great. I loved every second of it and want to see it again.
  11. Saw your invitation earlier. Cheers for that! I think I'll give the beta a miss. I'm having too much fun with Watch Dogs and I think I'd prefer going into Destiny fresh. Don't really want to get a taste of it now and be left starving 'til September. Definitely going for it, though. Didn't really care about it that much a few months back, but the hype has grabbed me. Hype, hype, hype.
  12. Won my first ctOS Mobile Challenge game, fuck yeeeeah. Fuark, it was tough. I made it to the last checkpoint with 2 seconds to spare. Two Police SUVs were ramming me at the end and I got snipered from the gunner in the helicopter about 20 seconds or so before the end. It took out my back window of the car I was driving and I thought, "that's it, I'm fucked." Somehow I managed to turn the car around, dodge the SUVs and get to it. Awesome. A great online mode. I really like Decryption but there was some weird shit going on last night. I somehow managed to get into a game where I was against 2 players. Then, a third joined and so it was 3 vs. 1. The game fucked up before that match, too. In the previous game, I got dropped into it and couldn't move or look around, or do anything basically. So, we had to drop out of it. The next game was laggy as fuck. Not sure what was going on there. Everything before that wtf moment was awesome.
  13. Where are you bitches pre-ordering from? What's the best price atm? Amazon have it for £45, so seems like the best option. Not really interested in special editions, etc. Can't wait for this to arrive.
  14. I still want to pick up Project Zero 2 for the Wii at some point. I have a huge list of games on there that I need to work through first before I come to that.
  15. @Hero\-of\-Time, I'm 'mirin hard at your PS4 deal and games list. Seems like that there's a few people getting one in time for Destiny. Am definitely going to get it now that there's so many on here who will be playing it. @Retro_Link, where did you hear that? Is there a date? I want Journey, dammit.
  16. Majority of these people were Dutch nationals.
  17. Fucking yeeees. Good decisions. I have nothing more to add.
  18. I still don't understand why this game is getting this much attention anyway. From what we've seen (which is very little), it doesn't look special.
  19. If we had a reputation system, I'd neg you for not punching the twat in the balls. So, the brief case went flying, eh? See how poorly he has a grip on things.
  20. Anybody else following this news, atm? Link here. Reports are saying that it was shot down. Travelling from the Netherlands to Kuala Lumpar, 295 on board. No survivors. What's going on with this world?
  21. A bit of interesting information: I popped into ASDA earlier today and they've gone from selling no WiiU games to selling...two. Mario Kart and Just Dance. They were hidden amongst the other Wii games. One was at the top and the other was on the shelf below it, with Wii games interspersed. A bit of a strange one, as they haven't had any WiiU games in our ASDA for ages, as far as I know. Progressssss.
  22. The way they're going, wouldn't surprise me if they were trying to dig to China. Maybe they're creating a glory hole. I...can't exactly rule that out. Although, they must have taken out half of Bournemouth by now if that were the case. I've been out for a few hours working, come back and they're still going. Banging, drilling, hammering. Am cry.
  23. September onwards is really when things kick off. Destiny, Evolve, Alien, Drive Club, Assassin's Creed Unity, Battlefield Hardline, Far Cry 4. That's from September. Looking at that price and knowing what's to come, I'd go for it now in time for Destiny. In the mean time, you can play InFamous, Watch Dogs, Wolfenstein, the PSN titles. I got mine for that price, too. Realistically, the only way you'll be able to get it cheaper than that is if you buy pre-owned or if there's some sort of bundle that gets released at a low price, something like that InFamous deal that Shorty got. Even then, you'll save a few quid, but it won't be anything massive like the price difference between the one you're seeing today and the one that you'll find on Amazon, GAME, etc. If you're going to get one eventually, why wait? That's the mindset I had when I got mine. The price was just right, imo.
  24. The bastards next door are drilling again. They're always drilling. I have no idea what they're doing, but it's on the other side of our wall in the kitchen. The sounds are vibrating through the entire house and it just sounds awful. They did this on Monday when we got back from Spain and they've done it every day since. It has happened before, on many different occasions. What the fuck are they doooiiiing?
  25. I'd love to see somebody like Monster Games create a realistic racer for the WiiU, just to see how they'd do with it. They nailed ExciteTruck, one of my favourite ever racers. Maybe even a collaboration with Retro...hnnnnnggggg.
