Played our game against Dazzybrah and lost 0-3. Good game, I just couldn't create enough in this match. May take our Van Persie and/or Falcao as they are both too fucking slow! We played some matches afterwards and ended up playing for about two hours overall. The Juventus versus Everton matches were a good laugh. Had a cracking final game where I went as Spurs against his Crystal Palace and managed to draw 3-3 after going 2-0 and then 3-2 down. Adebayor was a beast up front. It's strange going back to controlling an entire team after doing Pro Clubs. Hard to adjust! Going to upload the highlights tomorrow or Friday after work.

That app sounds useful. Might be useful if we ever get sky at our own house...if we ever get a house. Looking back, I wish I had jumped on either the PS2 or PS3. They all seem like good systems. Have to admit, as gamers, we have been blessed with some fucking great games over the years!

I was just thinking about that the other day. What are they doing now? They don't seem to be doing an awful lot.

What's the Sky app? I probably did, but I was usually a one-console guy. I've never really had more than one gaming system at a time. My history was: Spectrum ZX Commodore64 SNES -put the SNES away and play with the Master System and Mega Drive- Go back to SNES years later N64 GameCube Dreamcast for a bit Wii WiiU PS4 Even when I owned more than one system of that generation, I never played it alongside another. Even now, I don't touch the WiiU and have made the switch over to PS4. It would be like sleeping with more than one girl at a time. I can't handle it. I'm a one-woman man.

I just want the new films to be good. We can worry about it being traditional Star Wars or how in-keeping it is to the originals later on. Let's make sure that the films are actually good now. The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones were fucking awful films, never mind bad Star Wars films. The dialogue was shit, the acting was shit, the pacing was shit. SHIT, shit, shit. Revenge of the Sith had about 10-20 good minutes worth of footage in there somewhere, sandwiched amongst the other shit acting and dialogue. When people say that the film was decent or good, what they actually mean is that it's passable for a film and less shit than the other two. I'll take a well-functioning film first. We're never going to get the same feel as the originals anyway because the films are well over 30 years old now. I welcome something different, because something needs to be done to the series to breath new life into it, especially after 1,2 and 3 tarnished the franchise in certain ways.

We won a game of football! Hurrah! Nice little run that we are on, coinciding with the return of Carrick. With Blind being injured, we're going to need that defensive/calm presence in midfield. Fellaini has stepped it up, which is so great to see. He's knuckled down, worked hard without ever complaining and now he's starting to win the fan's around. Glad to see him do well. In general, I'm pleased with the additions we've made to the team. Blind, Herrera, Di Maria and Shaw look the business. Rojo is looking better with each game. Falcao is the one that I'm unsure about and haven't been blown away with yet. Now it's just a case of getting everyone fit and in form.

I didn't buy anything...ANYTHING because I'm skint. Does this mean that I accidentally took part in the boycott?

I can understand what you're saying with the Dreamcast example and there are a few similarities there. However...I do think you're doing the Dreamcast a bit of an injustice there. The machine itself and the games still contributed a fuck of a lot to gaming. It gave us online with Phantasy Star Online, it gave us iconic games such as Shenmue, Soul Caliber and Crazy Taxi and the design of the controller paved the way for the Xbox-brand. In about 20 years time, will gamers still talk about the WiiU in the same way that the Dreamcast is fondly remembered of? In my opinion, no. The games that I mentioned above gave us new ideas, it allowed gaming to branch off into new pathways. What does the WiiU really do or have that sets it apart from the other consoles or systems in history? In my opinion, not a lot. The third party comparison between the DC and WiiU is uncanny, though. It's a bit of a bitter pill to swallow to see Nintendo emulate SEGA in that regard.

I enjoyed those highlights! Cheers for posting them. Think you're being harsh on the game being dour. Looked pretty exciting to me. 4-0 seems harsh considering that it was 2-0 for a long time and the other two goals came very late on. Great game by the looks of it. Like ours, the second half seemed better than the first. Haha, we shall soon see. Do you mind if we skip doing a friendly and go straight into the match? I'm knackered and am running on empty. Will you be using your headset? Also want to say cheers to everyone who has bought this game and is contributing to either the Pro Clubs or the League. It's been really, really awesome so far. I'm hoping that the league continues to grow and we get a regular following who want to take part.

Is that for The Last of Us? You're a nutter for aiming to sell it for that. For that price, I'd give the game a go, I had a great time with it.

Wednesday is probably a better day for me as I'll be working out after getting home from work tomorrow. I'll be knackered by then, so would prefer to do Wednesday if that is alright. You can do whatever you like when playing a warm-up. Just make sure that it's clear to both competitors when the real one is starting. Also, I hear @Clownferret has bought a PS4? If somebody else wants to join the league, then we it'll make things so much easier in terms of fixtures. Here's the highlights video from my match against @drahkon. Wasn't actually too bad to put together. I hit the share button at half time to split the clip into two parts (first half and second) and then just abused that "split clip" tool on share factory to get rid of any moments where nothing happened. 3:40 onwards was the key moment. I had a chance from the corner, didn't take it and he goes upfield and scores. The same with the Van Persie chance. Keeper makes a save, ball goes downfield and goal again. Second half was particularly great, first half was a bit slow and nothing really happening. Really enjoyed it, best person won the match.

I enjoyed tonight, despite having a massively shit day at work and the headache from hell. I thought we kept the ball nicely and looked solid defensively. Should have won more and were unlucky in almost all of the games not to win them.

I'm still persisting with stronglifts and I'm quite enjoying squatting 3 times a week. I had my rest day today and could feel that my legs were worked pretty hard yesterday. I've worked my way back up to 85kg for 5x5, so I'm excited about pushing on from here. Deadlifting on the same day actually doesn't feel that bad, tbh. I was expecting it to not work at all, but I'm enjoying it. The only downside for me is that school is very busy and I'm knackered by the time I get home. The last week/two weeks has been tough, especially with that initial first set of squatting.

Part of the fun of this game was the way that the online was integrated into the game. You could be invaded at almost every moment, you could have people tailing you without ever really knowing that they're in your game, etc. It was pretty fun, I loved it. That aspect of the game is going to be absolutely rubbish on the WiiU because there won't be enough people who will purchase it to make that exciting. You need a high quantity of gamers to make that worthwhile. When the game was just out, there were tons of people on it and you'd get constant invitations to take part in racers or decryption modes, etc. It actually created a good illusion of there being numerous hackers all present in the world at one time. I loved it.

I'll get that downloaded soon. Any news on when the weather patch is coming?

Haha, still a very sweet goal. It came so soon after the second and I think that's when the game was past me. I look forward to the away leg! Nice one, brah. Hopefully we'll get some more players to join in for season two when that comes around.

Lol, I defended alright in the first half but then it went to shit in the second. Players kept being out of position, particularly on the flanks. I've forgotten how bad United's defence is! RVP also did fuck all up front. It mimics real life. Also, that goal is beautiful. However, Ine totally killed the buzz when she saw the replay after when I showed it to her. *Ine walks in* *Ine watches replay* "Keeper should have saved it." * shakes head* *walks off*

The game looks stunning but I'm finding the price to be really steep. I'll end up getting it at some point, most likely when a good deal comes along.

Good game, @drahkon. I lost 1-3. I couldn't get into the game and I felt really rusty during it. I'm proud that I managed to bring the game back to 1-1 but I let in two quick goals that ruined me. That third goal was immense. I've saved the footage so will upload it later.
