  1. @drahkon, I'm about tonight if you fancy doing our match.
  2. Borussia Hartlepool Bayern Hartlepool AC Hartlepool Hartlepool Hotspur Real Hartlepool One of the above. I hear that they play a 1-8-1 formation as their midfield is too good.
  3. There's no difference at all with Spurs and Liverpool. Both sides sold their best player, both sides probably got rid of their managers too quickly in recent years (Spurs with Redknapp and Dalglish with Liverpool), both sides are lacking in identify and both sides can neither defend nor attack. Both will improve but the key will be which manager is given more time. I can see Liverpool sticking with Rodgers because he had them playing a good style of football last year. It's a revolving door at Spurs and Pochettino could go at any time. From what I keep hearing, Rodgers keeps rotating the squad around too much and this is causing issues that shouldn't really be there.
  4. I've updated the first post for this thread. If somebody could ditch the "sign-ups" part and change it to league or something, that would be great. (I'm not mod of this board) Round 1 lostmario v Sexual Chocolate Dazzybee v Esequiel Fierce_LiNk v Drahkon @Sexual Chocolate @dazzybee @Esequiel @drahkon @drahkon, when is best for you, brah? How does Tuesday or Wednesday sound?
  5. Ok, folks, I have done my best to sort out the FIFA League for those of us who have put our names down. This is going to be our first attempt and we'll hopefully get some more participants when this first initial league is over with. Option 3 was the winning choice, so players will choose one team each and stick to that team. We can sort this out later. For now, I have compiled the fixture list in terms of the users who signed up. I can edit this later to include the names of the teams chosen.
  6. They're not that different at all. Mario Kart's battle mode is lazy and broken. It's lazy in terms of its implementation and it is very, very broken. They took something which has worked absolutely fine for years and broke it. At least with a glitch it can be fixed with a simple patch. Drive Club has had a few patches and it is a better game than what it started off with. Same with Battlefield 4. Mario Kart's battlemode is still bad. Sorry, whoever quality controlled the battle mode should be out of a job. It is unplayable. That's a massive exaggeration. There's still been enough content released, like the ones I mentioned earlier. From what I've heard of Assassin's Creed, it is glitchy but the underlying game is still meant to be very good. So, with some work here and there, it'll be fine. Of course, I agree that the games should be perfect to begin with and that is the disappointing thing. I can only hope that this gets better. (still not sure exactly why this is being seen as a great year for Nintendo)
  7. Not going to lie, I almost cried.
  8. I wouldn't go quite that far. Mario Kart was also broken in terms of the battle mode, the shitty single-player options and the lack of voice chat whilst gaming. Shadow of Mordor looks like a great game, Alien Isolation is my personal game of the year and Dragon Age looks awesome. (Far Cry 4, too). The Halo stuff will get fixed soon, DriveClub is getting there.
  9. I'm approaching the tail end of the game now. Just started mission 15, so not long left.
  10. That's some good info, thanks brah. I struggle with the drifting in this game and usually slow it right down for the corners. When I get it right, I can get some semi-decent times but can quite often get overtaken by the cpu.
  11. In general, I don't really take part in it and, if I do, the tickets are for myself and Ine. So, that takes care of that. But, if it did happen, I'd have that initial (and probably long lasting feeling) of "aw, so cloooose!" if I had given somebody a winning ticket. Still, you run that risk by gifting the ticket in the first place, so you just have to accept the consequences. I'd try my best to be happy for them if they did win. Somebody has to win, so it may as well be a friend. If a friend had given me the ticket and I had won, I'd give them something out of the winnings. Probably split it 50/50, as that would be fair. Either way, you're winning a shit load of money for getting some numbers correct, so I hope that there would be no conflicts over this if it ever did happen.
  12. That's a really, really good video of your lap. What's your secret for the corners? Stay wide then gentle braking as you move to the inside or do you drift?
  13. I tell you what, this soundtrack really is STELLAR. Up there with some of Zimmer's best work. The more I read up on the events of the film, the more I realise that I actually really did enjoy it. I kinda want to see it again to see how I would react the second time around.
  14. Hahahaha, I thought that this moment had been lost in time.
  15. This is a final call for sign-ups before I sort out of the fixtures tonight. If there is a tie-break in terms of format (going by the poll at the top), I'll be flipping a coin to go with the winning format. This will be a first attempt at a league, so it in no way means that we won't get a chance to try out other ideas in future (e.g. only 4 star teams, etc). If anybody wants to join the league but hasn't signed up, please do so now.
  16. Not sure if I'll be online tonight. I'm letting Ine play some PS4 and we'll be eating soon. Btw, I'll be sorting the league out in terms of fixtures tonight. If anybody wants to sign up, please do so now.
  17. Can't quite believe that we won that, especially after the first half hour! We missed Blind, who has been an absolute rock for us so far. Either at centre-back or midfield, we needed him, especially in the first half. We had to go 3-5-2 due to him not being there as he would have easily filled in at centre-back. Wilshere should have walked in the first half, but it's still sad to see him injured. The guy is made of glass. I'm pissed about us losing Shaw. We've had a disastrous season in terms of injuries. Without De Gea, we would have lost 6-0 today. Obvious man of the match.
  18. A pretty good update, imo. New tracks, photo mode and the ability to reset your car on the track is awesome. I love the new tracks. It's a very fun game. When everything is the way it should be, it's just going to be so awesome. Give me my weather update and nobody gets hurt.
  19. That was a pretty poor video, in my opinion. How anybody could gather any information from that is beyond me. They need to show waaay more gameplay to judge it properly. Either way, I played the game and loved it. I don't regret not waiting for the WiiU version one bit.
  20. Yeah, NSMBUMSBUTBMSUBM was £15 in Sainsburys. Think that's the cheapest I've seen it by quite some distance. Surprised to see it that low.
  21. In fairness, Spurs are pretty good in the game. They're miiiiiiles better than they are in real life. Pochettino could learn a thing or two from it.
  22. It doesn't matter. Even if it were possible, would it have been included? It's a cultural thing. Nintendo don't do fully comprehensive online play for anything and it would be even harder to pull off with Smash Bros. I'd let it go.
  23. Lol, that's not a compromise, that's having your cake and eating it. (getting rid of the 5 star teams AND still having your preferred team available). I knew you'd change your mind about the four star business as soon as you found out Spurs weren't four star. :p
  24. Four and a half, brah. Meaning we can't use them if we go with Drahkon's proposal. (also means I can't use United, evaaar) I don't understand the line that comes afterwards. Throw that iPad out of the window. Edit: It also rules out Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton, Atletico Madrid and Bilbao.
  25. I don't know much about Rogue, but Black Flag looks pretty awesome from what I saw of Ine playing it. Looked wonderful.
