The new tracks are fantastic and seriously beautiful. I tried a few races last night with the weather off and forgot just how good this game looked in the daytime and dry. Seriously tempted to get the season pass now. What other updates will be coming and are any more tracks planned for the future?

Drive Club looks the better game, imo. Still not sure what's so special about this. Anyway, good for the WiiU that it's getting a game.

Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeee stuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuufff. Just installing it now. Fuck yeah, Japan!

General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion
Fierce_LiNk replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Yeah, I can't get my head around that one. That's the one thing that pisses me off the most about the WiiU; there are games that could easily be hitting it and they just aren't. It's not like the system can't handle these games since it's on par with the PS3 and 360 and they're getting them. Bah. Fucks me right off. -
I loved that there's a range of enemies in one area with vastly different levels. It's better than going into a patch of grass and having everything under level-10 or something. Just makes it a bit more exciting. There's only a few instances where Xenoblade turned a bit grindy and that's really around boss-fights. It can be overcome, but it takes a bit of work and it can be frustrating if you're not quite high enough. The trick is to do your side-questing alongside the main-quest and build up your team that way as well. I didn't do this until late on and found it much easier then, except for one or two difficulty spikes. (think I even made a thread raging about boss-fights after that!) I just hope that this game is good. If it's a third as good as Xenoblade, we'll be alright.

Go for Ellie and Riley from The Last of Us: Left Behind. :'( Had a great time in Brighton yesterday. We took about two hours getting there which is decent, but then it took another 40 minutes being stuck in traffic in Brighton and to find a parking space. Urgh. After all that, did some shopping. Bought a nice sushi set for a friend, some chocolates (pretzel flips, hnnnng) and a Wonder Woman key ring. Met up with some old friends. Went for a burger at GBK which tasted like heaven and had some drinkies. Ended up coming back at midnight as we have plans for today. Am tired. Sleep.

This is doing the rounds at the moment. Fox may be bringing back the X-Files with David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson in the lead roles. Hnnnnnnng. Please be true. Numerous links here and here. Oh my, hnnnng. There's also talk of...more Prison Break? Dunno what to make of that one.

Nah, let's just go with that. Final score: 3-2 to Dazzybee.

Cheers. I shouldn't have accepted that game, tbh. It was late and I was just finishing up on career mode before bed. Lag in the game was unbearable and I couldn't string two passes together or defend without it juddering every few seconds. By far the worst lag I've had on here, worse than our game @Sexual Chocolate. Well done for winning.

Cheeeers, kav. Battlefield soon, yes? I want to be leaf! Next time you come to Bournemouth, I will ruin you at Injustice.

They said that they wouldn't be taking risks. They didn't say that they would be committing financial suicide. :p

@Hero\-of\-Time, I've bought it today! Ine has added £20 to my PSwallet at part of my birthday gifts and so I immediately went to the store and purchased this. Not sure when I'll get on to play it, but it's there. Wooooo. Not sure what to do with the rest of the monies. I want Journey, cmaaaan release it already. Not sure about The Unfinished Swan.

Hey up, Dazzy. I've just got home from work and have showered. Am parked in front of the telly and am ready whenever you are.

I dunno, Xenoblade was fine and I guess it got away with it because the Wii was so bluddy weak. It looked great for its hardware, I thought. More so the landscapes and locations than characters. It's the faces in X that just look really strange to me. I dunno, we'll wait and see. There will be hell to pay if it's anything short of stellar. I thought the combat was fantastic, tbh. You'll either like it or hate it. Aside from that, it's got an excellent story and the world is one in which you can be easily sucked into. I spent a lot of time on that game.

I should be good for Friday evening. I doubt it'll be a problem.

I said that exact same thing to Ine earlier when watching the direct. I don't know what it is exactly, but it looks quite "off". Don't know whether it's the models or the colours, but just something about it seems cheap. I'm half tempted to blame the video and maybe it'll look better when it's actually there in front of you.
-
Lol. :p Seriously, don't waste your money on Xenoblade 3D. Just get it on the Wii and play it like it was meant to be played. I do mean it though, the more I've seen of X the last few months, the more I become that ever so slightly bit worried about it. Today was the first time where I've come away from seeing a trailer thinking, "ehh..." I'll be heartbroken if it turns out to be a bit weak, especially as how Xenoblade was one of the best games on the Wii.
-
You're doing a good job, lost. I don't know what happened yesterday, but it could have just been a bad night. The team have played some good football and we've done well to get to where we are. I think you'd be making a mistake by stepping down as you're good at it.
-
Agree with both of these. Almost cried/died (perhaps both) when I saw that. Looks fucking awful and I don't know why they're even bothering doing that...just seems like such a bizarre thing to do. Not only that, but...I'm getting concerned by X on WiiU. The music for the trailer they used was awful and...I also didn't like the faces of the characters. It took me by surprise with just how...strange they looked. Very jarring. Not sure what to think now. I was so excited for the game at one point but the more I see of it, the more concerned I feel. Don't care about the rest of the direct.
-
It's alright and I would have been all over it had it been made during the Wii era or if it was on the Cube. I think I'm tired of it though and I bought it at a time when I was feeling a bit apathetic about Nintendo. I got Tomb Raider as my second PS4 game (after Resogun) and it gripped me in a way that Mario Kart couldn't. Ah, if the DLC is quite short then I may have a go soon and see what's what. I'll have to try the challenge mode, but I'm more about the story modes usually.

Regarding F Zero: It's actually got a decent balance, imo. You can definitely improve at it and get better, because it isn't easy, yet you can get away without being too overly technical about it. There's certain games series that won't ever sell the console by themselves, but when coupled together or grouped together, they make the console look more appealing. F Zero by itself probably isn't enough for most people, but F Zero and Wave Race with a Zelda and Metroid thrown in suddenly looks very good and varied. Besides sales, games are a means of showing off your creativity. That's why a lot of the indies do it, I guess, because they want to actually make something different and show it off to the rest of the world. Even if an F Zero doesn't sell as many copies as New Super Mario Bros. does, it's still a way to create an exhilarating racing experience where you can be competitive against others or have tons to unlock with a strong singeplayer.
