  1. I dunno, there's quite a few in that WiiU chart.
  2. He's only part-time. We play him for half a game, see.
  3. I watched the trailer and really like the look of it. I don't know enough about it or haven't seen enough of it to say I'm truly excited yet, but it does look lovely.
  4. Really? Sure, he's been great in other roles and has also received other nominations before. Think he's been nominated four times for an Oscar but has never won. But, really? I thought he was incredible in this. Can't imagine a single other actor stepping into that role and playing it as well as he did.
  5. I spotted this the other day and thought it looked absolutely stunning. The price is putting me off unfortunately and I'm in no rush to buy new games as my back log is pretty big. Visually, it looks wonderful. One to add to the list. Think I'll pick it up when there's a special deal on it.
  6. What I hope will happen: We play really well and put three past Arsenal with Di Maria scoring or having a hand in each of the goals. What I think will happen: We play an average game and will get lucky with a 1-0 or a 2-1 victory. Not sure how tonight will go. We're unpredictable and I think we'll no doubt raise our game tonight. We need to have more attempts on goal and Di Maria needs to get into the game.
  7. I've been tempted for a while to pick up Wolfenstein. Going to clear my backlog and jump on it, should be mega cheap by then.
  8. D'oh, forgot to add a massive one to my list. The Lego Movie I was expecting something aimed squarely at young children. But, it definitely surpassed my expectations and I thought it was outstanding. Fantastic sense of humour and a great script! Certain bits had me in giggles for ages. A bit ashamed that I hadn't seen it sooner. My 2015 list Big Hero 6 The Wolf of Wall Street American Psycho Gravity 3D The Lego Movie
  9. I've downloaded this as it's free on Plus and oh my, it's quite addictive. I found the control system a bit backwards at first. But, you become adjusted to it and can soon start racking up the high scores quickly. It's quite pretty in a strange sort of way. Great soundtrack, too. I can see it gathering a small cult following.
  10. Inspired by @/nando/ with his videogame diary thread, I thought we could do one for film as well. I miss that old Rate the last film you saw thread as it was a nice way we could all talk about the films we saw recently. Recently, I've seen: Big Hero 6 I thought this was disappointing considering it was a Disney film. Very bland characters, a bit of a shitty script, uninspiring soundtrack and...not an awful lot to remember. I was a bit surprised to see some of my closest friends say that they loved it shortly after I saw it as I thought it was very average. First time in a long time that I've left the cinema a bit annoyed that I'd paid an extortionate amount to see a film. The Wolf of Wall Street I really enjoyed this, although it was perhaps about 20 minutes longer than it could have been. If DiCaprio can't win an Oscar after this, then maybe he isn't destined to receive one. American Psycho I watched this last night for the very first time and Ine and I had to rush off to youtube and scour the web to find an analysis of the ending. Very thought-provoking and interesting in a lot of ways. I thought Bale was fantastic in this and that one particular scene with Jared Leto (I won't spoil it) had me in stitches yet terrified me at the same time. Gravity 3D I loved it the first time I saw this in the iMAX and thought it was just as great watching it at home. Beautifully shot and haunting in places. The soundtrack makes the film come alive and it has a perfect harmony with the visuals to create something really special. It isn't that long either, so there isn't a lot of filler or unnecessary moments to pad out the running time. A complete joy from start to finish. My 2015 list Big Hero 6 The Wolf of Wall Street American Psycho Gravity 3D
  11. PS+ is ridiculous. It's quite exciting when the end of the month arrives and you wonder what will be up next. I've got a nice backlog of games to play and it means that there is always something new to try. I think I've ended up with a decent PS3 collection despite not owning one. Have been tempted to pick one up for ages and same with the Vita. Been watching videos for Oddworld. Looks beautiful. Tempted to try that after I tackle Valiant Hearts.
  12. Glad to see you enjoyed eet, brah. I want it. As soon as eet hits £25, I'm on it. Magic number. Is the soundtrack immense? It is, isn't it? I mean, it isn't Cheryl Cole, but it's great, right?
  13. I thought you supported Liverpool? Why didn't you watch their game? Both teams were crap tonight. We were crap. They were crapper. I hate possession football and find it as exciting as mushrooms, which I hate. It was really boring to watch our game and I kinda wished that I had brought home my marking and had done that instead. That said, we somehow got the points, somehow. If we play this badly against Arsenal, we'll lose by at least 2 clear goals.
  14. Just jump on eet naw. There's some unbelievably good deals out there now and you know you're going to get one at some point. I could quite easily live off the PS+ stuff alone atm.
  15. The game looks nice but those hands and fingernails...it's a bit jarring. They don't do anything but stand out.
  16. A great selection of games. I bought Valiant Hearts for £4 about a month ago, but I won't begrudge that being put up there because it's a game that everyone should play, based on what I saw Ine play of it. I wanted to buy Oddworld and Counterspy when it was my birthday and almost spent my money on that. Instead, I went for inFAMOUS and Valiant Hearts. Happy that they're up there! Just looking at some videos of Oddworld and it looks quite yummy.
  17. It's not harsh at all. Looking at the title, I too thought this had been announced for the WiiU. If the title was amended or a different one chosen to begin with, then it wouldn't be too bad. Anyway, would be nice for the WiiU to get a game.
  18. I spent a lot of time with the game over the summer and loved it. Really, really enjoyed it. I've still got a few more missions to finish off and I'm right near the end of the game. For some reason, I jumped onto something else and didn't get back into it.
  19. Yeah, there are benefits when the team know each other more. Also, you need it for certain quests, I think. Can't remember the full details, but it's worth getting the party to like each other more by putting them together. The overworld for this game was fantastic and there are tons and tons of little things thrown in to just make it such an outstanding experience. The variety in quests, the characters, the types of creatures you see, the music, it just all came together nicely. Such a satisfying ending, too.
  20. I'm petrified that No Man's Sky is going to suck or be terrible or shallow of something. I'd sell all of my kidneys (ALL OF THEM) if it could mean that the game turns out good. Please be good.
  21. Does this mean that we still have to acknowledge that Resurrection exists then? So close.
  22. Ruined my day when I heard about this. I watched The Wrath of Khan a few weeks ago. Tempted to watch it again as a tribute. RIP
  23. I've been watching the streams of this on Live from Playstation. I watched a bit of it last night before going to bed after we played moar Walking Dead (season 2, hnnng). Fuck me, I've remembered just how good and awesome and fun and cool and awesome and fuck this game is. Not only that, but there are some truly awful gamers out there who don't use logic at all. I saw this one stream with this guy trying the same thing over and over again and failing miserably each time. I couldn't remember my sign in and it was late so I didn't have the energy to help him through it. But, wow. Surely if nothing works after the 10th time, you'd try something different? Even Ine was despairing.
  24. Another game finished! This time, inFAMOUS Second Son. I've really enjoyed it, although I've only finished the "good" part of the game. Going to take a small break with another game or two before hitting the Evil part and then maybe tackling First Light. Awesome game and really, really fun to play. There were only two moments that pissed me off and they were both boss fights. Aside from that, I had a great time playing it and I enjoyed the humour of it. Woodrecommend/10. Games of 2015 Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor - Finished and Platinumed Transistor - Finished The Walking Dead Season One - Finished and Platinumed inFAMOUS Second Son - good ending completed I've now started Metro 2033 Redux and I'm enjoying that, particularly the setting and themes of the game.
  25. Apparently, Injustice 2 is 2016. I really enjoyed it and can't wait to see what they do with the follow up. One thing I'd like to see is more stages and definitely more transitions between stages. The metropolis stage in three parts was excellent. The story was excellent and clearly they put a lot of effort into it. One of my favourite fighters.
