  1. The pedal arrived today. Amazon deliver on Sundays, Who knew? It's my favourite purchase that I've made today. Fantastic little thing. Beautiful. Wow, much sound, very music, so gud.
  2. I did watch the video and think, "oh, I should give this a go!" But then it was quite long and it got technical and then I got all panicky and wondered if somebody else could do it for me and then I realised that there was nobody else and then I stopped watching and ended up watching old Simpsons quotes on youtube instead. It's one of those things where I want to reap the rewards, but I don't want to go to all of that effort of doing that stuff because I'm technically retarded. I might just get Ine to do it and then I can shout instructions are her from a distance.
  3. You're right about the character designs. They don't look great. Also, what you say about open world games on other systems is true. I've already down one huuuuge mammoth adventure so far this year and it's going to be very difficult for any other game to top that. I feel like I am getting my needs elsewhere. Also agree with this. I wonder what difference it would have made had this been released, say, 2 years sooner. Obviously that would have been difficult with the creation of the game, but I wonder how it would have been perceived by fans had it been out when the WiiU had more of a buzz. This is awkward. I'm not getting it at launch. Maybe a few months down the line. Maybe.
  4. I thought the football that we played yesterday was great. Herrera going off injured though was a blow and we didn't play as well after that. Lingard is playing well and I'm glad to see him starting games. He needs to bag some goals now to repay the manager's faith. The only thing missing from our game now are goals, which just so happens to be the most important part. I believe they will come. Defensively, we look tight. Smalling is probably the best centre-back in the country best on form. The midfield looks tight, too. We're passing the ball around and keeping possession better than I've ever seen us do. We just need to finish off our chances and be more clinical. We can't afford to play the football we do and not take our chances because we'll end up drawing too many games if teams just sit back and defend. Leicester are looking fantastic and are playing great football. We need more teams like that in this league, teams who are willing to give everybody a great game. Unfortunately, I see Bournemouth in the same way but without the killer instinct up front. What a difference having a quality centre-forward can make.
  5. I wonder why people aren't hyped for this. Xenoblade was top quality on the Wii and it's the only major Nintendo release in this last part of the year.
  6. I always get confused when I'm using that slider calibration setting. In the end, I usually go for the default setting or just a bit brighter than usual. Everything usually turns out fine. I actually think games look fine on my TV. Films look great, too. TV on the other hand, I always feel could look better. Sport in particular, especially on the non-HD channels (such as regular ITV) always looks a bit meh. Not as crisp as I want it, but that's down to the channel not having HD or the signal, I guess.
  7. Brah, that's bad. Such a shame it's turned out to be an awful game. I'm still surprised we actually didn't get a proper Mario Tennis on the Wii with motion controls. It was the one game that I thought was a dead certainty. After playing WiiSports, I thought to myself, shiiiiiiit, Mario Tennis is going to be epic. The wait goes on.
  8. I was initially hyped for this after playing Xenoblade, but I've become un-hyped for it as more information has progressively been shown. It doesn't seem to have the same charm as Xenoblade did. I don't like this whole New LA vibe they're going with and the inclusion of mechs and stuff has put me off. I don't find myself feeling desperate to play it whereas I couldn't wait until Xenoblade came out. Might be one I give a go a bit later on. But, definitely not feeling it right now.
  9. Have you played it yet?

  10. Seriously? You don't like Alien because of the lack of explosions? And gore? The film is iconic, it's the perfect thriller. Hence why Alien Isolation is so, soooo good because it's essentially the film in game format. Also, put me in the ALIEN3 is awesome camp. Also also, Alien is awesome because they used a lot of real shit. They built sets and used models, it's wonderfully crafted. The Alien itself is a work of art, with H.R. Giger (greatest of all time) really going to town in creating that biomechanical look of the alien. The suit is incredible and makes the alien look like a real creature. It's wonderfully shot. Pisses all over a lot of the so-called horror shit that you see today.
  11. Every year, I go full retard at Christmas and end up buying stuff for myself. My reasoning behind it is...Ine and I set budgets for our Christmas presents. Now, if there's an expensive item that I want, I'll buy it myself because I'd rather get lots of gifts at Christmas rather than open just the one and be it one that I know I'm getting anyway. So, I bought a Boss RC1 Loop Pedal and the power adaptor. I feel so guilty. Ine right now is looking at me like, "fucker, your list is still empty, what am I meant to buy you now?" *secretly excited for pedal*
  12. Wohoo, looking forward to playing both of these. Is Heavy Rain the better of the two? I saw my ex-housemate play the game and I've always wanted to have a go at it. Looks like my sort of thing.
  13. Well, it's not like the online functions are stellar to begin with. It's lazy and, even without the online, seems very barebones and limited. It's just very disappointing. Why would I pay full price to buy a shit game in order to get the free game when I can pay a fraction of that price and just buy the better game? Or, better still, just play the original game for nothing as I already own it. I'm looking at my N64 right now. I'm quite unsympathetic towards the argument that Nintendo had to rush this out to fill out the schedule. That just reeks of poor planning and organisation.
  14. Are you fucking high right now?
  15. Look at Kav's post for reference. The recap is good, but it doesn't even show half of the good stuff that takes place in the first season. The dialogue is excellent and you've got an excellent bunch of characters in there. Episodes two and three (five, too) were fucking brilliant and will go down as some of my favourite gaming memories ever. I youtubed episode two last night and just reminded myself of how awesome it was.
  16. So, we've gone from not being able to chat to your friends to not being able to play with them at all. At this rate, I hope Nintendo don't do another F Zero or Wave Race or something like that, because I don't trust them to be able to deliver without bollocksing it up. This game is a really lazy effort. Disappointed, as I loved the original Mario Tennis but nothing has lived up to it since.
  17. So, the sequel to Prometheus has been changed from Alien: Paradise Lost to Alien: Covenant. This is the second film in a trilogy that is the prequel to Alien. Release date is October 6 2017. I don't know what to think. I do wish at times that Prometheus was its own self-contained story and didn't have anything to do with Alien. The original Alien doesn't need a prequel.
  18. I changed my picture and I do see that there is a point to it. I went to uni and shared a house with some international students, two of which were French and we became great friends. I also work with several people (both teachers and pupils) who are either French and/or have family in Paris at the moment. They changed their pictures and a lot of us who knew them also did the same thing as a show of support. The other side of the coin is that I grew up in a Muslim family in an area with a lot of other Muslim friends and we noticed that there were definite changes with the way people acted towards us after 9/11, and then after 7/7. A lot of that is down to ignorance and I still get people (younger adults in particular) asking me questions as if somehow I know terrorists directly...I had one person a year or so ago (his Father is in the army) ask me if I knew the people directly who killed Lee Rigby. There wasn't even a hint of irony or of it being a joke, it was a very serious question. Part of the reason why the majority of my Asian friends back home changed their pictures is to show clearly that we're just as against acts/atrocities such as this as they are. It is to show support and solidarity, which is the first step towards defeating the problem. There's an excellent quote by Bill Nye (I think it is) where he says that the only way our species is to survive is by working together, which is absolutely correct.
  19. Well done. Enjoy it! :D

  20. Can't believe that this thread is essentially dead. So, nobody's actually playing this game? Laaaaaame. Loved Tomb Raider and was so pumped to play this. Definitely not going to get an Xbox One as I don't need another console.
  21. Did you buy the game, phaggot?

  22. Lol, you must really want that platinum if you're going for it again straight after finishing it. You don't need to complete NewGame+ to do the DLC, by the way. You can just get the DLC and play away.
  23. You getting the DLC, @Blade? I've yet to start it. Waiting for the right time. I want to play some other stuff first before I jump back in. Can't wait for next year's expansion either as it's meant to be pretty big, as well.
  24. Both need to be played. Actually, both are my favourite games this year. I've reeeeeally, reaally enjoyed 2015. Bloodborne, Witcher 3, Batman, Rocket League, EVERYBODY'S GONE TO THE RAPTUUUUUURE and The Order (which I loved). Haven't got Fallout, haven't got MGS, or Tearaway and Battlefront is out soon. 2015 has been utterly sublime, imo.
  25. Maaaaate, I looked back at my posts in the Bloodborne thread for the early hours and checked my facebook status about the game. I NEVER write statuses about games and I'm usually quite a positive person, but I FUCKING HATED the first few hours of this game. It's so hard. It seemed impossible. Completely worth it in the end and it's made me look at dying in videogames in a whole different way now. In games, dying is an annoyance. It's negative. In Bloodborne, it's essential. You analyse why you fucked up so you don't do it next time. Quite cathartic.
