  1. How would that work? One best game and one worst? Or would there be several categories?
  2. Same, I could do with some new maps or modes. Luckily there's tons of scope in this series for maps. I could see them adding Bespin as a map. Would love a dogfight above the Death Star, could see that happening, too.
  3. Benteke has just scored for Liverpool. Think he'll do quite well there. Had a chat with @Eenuh's family (Belgium, so they know quite a bit about Benteke) and they don't rate him all that much. Like Lukaku, I think he does better in the league than he does internationally.
  4. I'm not big on shooters at all and am pretty useless. Buuuuut, I've been addicted to this. It's hard to actually stop playing. It's very satisfying using the blasters and the cards. I like the way the whole thing is put together. @somme's advice is good, modes like Cargo and Blast are very manageable and are a good way to ease you into the game. I'm very relaxed when playing this for some reason. It must be to do with the Star Wars theme, I don't mind too much when I get killed in this game. I am finding that I'm getting waaaay more kills now that I did at the start. Ended up with 25 kills in one of my games earlier, which I could only have dreamed about when I first got the game.
  5. Leaning towards getting it. We both play on it a lot and we've got a backlog that's getting larger and larger. It's only going to get larger since only one of us can game at a time.
  6. Somebody talk me out of this quickly. @Eenuh recently got Nobunaga's Ambition and Tearaway for Christmas. She's currently addicted to Star Wars: Battlefront. I've got a big backlog. I also want to play Star Wars: Battlefront as well as start Uncharted 3, the DLC for The Witcher 3 and the many other games that I have. There's a nice sexy shiny white PS4 for £238 on Amazon... I'm very, veeeeery tempted.
  7. Free on PS+ for January. Taken from PSBlog:
  8. Really happy with both of these. Almost bought Grim a few weeks ago. Hardware looks like it would be pretty fun to play. Reminds me of Cel Damage which I loooooooved, although this seems less hectic. Splitscreen? Can see this being a blast in multiplayer.
  9. Where's Smyths? I go into Castlepoint itself occasionally, but never really into the surrounding area. The centre could do with another GAME or something. CeX is the only thing that's there now. It was much better before when Gamestation and GAME were there. The clothing shops aren't really worth writing home about either.
  10. I received Compendium 2 for Christmas and I've just finished it.
  11. That's pretty shit. Reminds me of when I tried getting the train from Newport into Cardiff a few years back (was Christmas also) and saw that everything was closed. Bournemouth is a mess at the moment. The road is a pain in the arse to drive down to work every day. Yes, I'm talking about that god-awful A338. We've got another six months or so of work provided that they actually hit their deadline, which I doubt they will. The centre is pretty shit and could do with tons of new shops being added in. It always feels like stuff is being done or roads are being torn up with nothing actually to show for it. Frustrating.
  12. I have the Platinum for this, at long last. I also hear that there will be new tracks coming for next year. Double victory!
  13. I've had a very productive day! Spent the day getting the final two trophies in Drive Club. Got myself the Platinum at long last. The game is excellent and it's only just got better and better as they've released more content and made changes for it. I must say, I think the addition of an easier mode was much needed and it's made the game more "friendly" as a result of it. Beforehand, I enjoyed it but finished almost every race towards the back of the grid. It's a bit more rewarding now, plus just more enjoyable. I really rate the game highly. Plus, it's drop dead gorgeous to look at. The other game I've been playing is Cities: Skylines. My favourite City builder. It's what I always wanted SimCity to evolve into, but it never has done. It's a game that I played quite a bit earlier in the year but just got back into it over Christmas. One of those games that you can just sink hours and hours into without realising. Games of 2015 Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor - Finished and PLATINUMED Transistor - Finished The Walking Dead Season One - Finished and PLATINUMED inFAMOUS Second Son - good ending completed Watchdogs - started in 2014, finally finished main story The Walking Dead Season Two - Finished The Order 1886 - Finished BLOODBORNE - Finished Never Alone - Finished Hohokum - Finished The Witcher 3 - Story (and many other quests!) completed Journey - Finished FlOw - Finished Batman: Arkham Knight - Main story completed. Can't be arsed collecting all of the Riddler trophies Everybody's Gone To The Rapture - Finished Entwined - Finished Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - Finished Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - Finished White Night - Finished Until Dawn - Play-through 1 Finished! Rocket League - PLATINUMED! Sound Shapes - Campaign completed Drive Club - PLATINUMED! Cities: Skylines
  14. So...I predicted that we'd lose this 1-0 and we got a 0-0 draw. Missed the game because we were traveling back from Belgium. I don't know how we're going to score goals. I look at our team and the only player who looks like scoring is Martial. Be interesting to see if we go for anyone in January. Gutted that Arsenal beat Bournemouth yesterday. We got the tube from St Pancras and were surrounded by looooooads of Arsenal fans.
  15. I'm looking forward toooo... Uncharted 4 - Only recently just got into these games, but enjoy them a lot. Think the new one will be awesome. Rise of the Tomb Raider - Loved the previous game, so I'm hoping for this to follow on and be equally as impressive. I've not heard many gamers raving about this though...which worries me a little. Gravity Rush Remastered and 2 - Only played a demo of the Vita game and thought it was fantastic. Almost pushed me to getting a Vita. Can't wait for these. Horizon: Zero Dawn - This game looks better and better. Let's just hope it lives up to the hype. Rime - Lol...whenever it comes out. Firewatch - Thought this looked a bit off at first, but I'm coming around to it and am eager to give it a go. Street Fighter V - Bring it the fuck onnnnn. Adrift - Looks quite interesting...I can't tell whether it'll live up to its promise or not. The idea is cool, but it could end up very shallow or boring quickly if not handled with care. Final Fantasy XV - Fuck it, it looks wonderful. Eager to give this a go. Unravel - Quick, enjoy this before EA find a way to ruin it! The Witness - It's finally coming out. Never played a Persona game, but...maybe I'll give that a bash, too. 2016 is going to be awesome! 2015 will take some beating, though.
  16. I'm loving the music in this film. It's been put on Spotify, so I've had a listen here and there. Rey's Theme is my favourite thing. Hnnnnnnngggg. Can't wait to get back to the UK and play the new soundtrack on Spotify whilst playing Battlefront.
  17. I've been getting back into this over Christmas and have been having a great time with it. I just learned or remembered that you can build roads that go underground...so I've been making some offramps that go under roads which just look amazing. Fabulous!
  18. It's been a fun Christmas. I had my work Christmas party and took the @Eenuh with us. We had lots of people giving recommendations about the wedding...the Headteacher's wife had a 20 minute chat with Ine whilst I was sat off drinking and despairing in the corner. We did our Christmas presents before we left for Belgium. - Star Wars Battlefront! - Davidoff Adventure! - Davidoff Champion! - Boss DS1 Distortion Pedal! - The Walking Dead Compendium 2! She did pretty well. I got a surprise gift from one of the kids in my class. For some reason, she got me Bvlgari Pour Homme Soir, which was my smell during Uni. Could have just been a complete fluke or something, or the most insightful gift any pupil has ever bought me. It's a bit of an in-joke amongst us at the school that I secretly have an atomiser and top myself up throughout the day to smell good, so this is probably related to that. Also got: - Tons of chocolate - Wine - Other alcohol - A Star Wars mug - Star Wars key chain - Moar chocolate - A small personalised cake I got my kids a special badge to wear. The majority of them were Star Wars badges. They looked pretty good, metallic and awesome. We've spent Christmas with @Eenuh's family. - Her Mum got me a few t-shirts, which fit amazingly well and accentuate my man-muscles. Phwoar. - A Back to the Future t-shirt from my secret santa. - An atomiser from my secret santa. - A new shaving brush from Ine's Dad. All in all, it's been a fun Christmas. I came down with either the flu or a flu-like illness for the first half of Christmas week, so I felt like shit for days and we didn't do an awful lot as a result of it. Feel much better now!
  19. Hmm, maybe he is improving. All we need to do is get some sign posts up around Old Trafford telling him which end he's shooting and all of our problems are solved!
  20. Ehh, I think that there's zero difference between Monster Hunter and Destiny. They're both grindy. I didn't really get into Destiny enough and the whole thing bypassed me. Tempted to go back into it and try again, although I have the fear of addiction. Monster Hunter Tri was fun, but grindy is a good way of putting it. I'd say they're both about equal in that respect.
  21. It had to go in. Butland is a cracking keeper though. We have defenders who can't defend, attackers playing as wing/left/right backs, midfielders who don't move, pass, defend or attack, "attacking midfielders" who don't attack and strikers who don't score goals. We're a right mess. We've scored the same amount of goals as Bournemouth have in the league...Watford have more league goals than us. These are promoted teams... It's not even about the losing. It's about the challenge. When you watch a football match, at any level, you want to see your team (whoever that is) put up a fight and at least make an attempt to score goals. We are such a weak team...there's no fight in any of them. I know nothing will change for the next match either because the team don't want to fight to get themselves out of this hole. I got jealous watching the highlights of the City match and seeing De Bruyne singlehandedly taking on other players, getting goals and assists, making chances for others. Why isn't Mata doing that, or Memphis? Or Rooney?
  22. The Stoke attack is pretty good. They've got some excellent players now and play exciting football. Saying that, I'm glad we've dropped Rooney and think that we may pick up a win today. Looking at our team, Fellaini aside, it looks decent enough to score goals. I can see Herrera and Martial getting a goal each today. Would love a 2-0. But, I think we'll concede as this Stoke team look dangerous. Edit: Well...25 minutes gone and we're 2-0 down. In fairness, I don't even think we've been playing that badly. But, two individual mistakes have cost us. Memphis fucked up with a header back to the keeper and Ashley Young gave away a needless freekick which led to another Stoke goal, which was a great shot by Arnautovic, who I really like. Now we'll see what these players are made of. Sure, Van Gaal has to take the blame for a lot of things, but the players have to toughen up and show some grit. We are far, far too soft. Memphis in particular has been so disappointing. Edit 2: The players look shell-shocked. Rooney will most probably be coming on. We need to start the second half well and get an early goal. I can see us losing this by 3 or 4 now...wouldn't even bet against us conceding 5 the way Stoke are playing. It's horrific that we can't get the ball into the box and can't create anything. What are we doing in training?
  23. I saw this today with @Eenuh's family. Finally! Will be seeing it again next week with my friend for her birthday. I was about 95% or so focused on the film, whilst the remaining 5% was tempted to hit the stranger sat next to me, who was breathing as loud as Darth Vader himself and wouldn't shut the fuck up talking to his girlfriend throughout. I think that stopped me being as fully into it as I would have liked. Hopefully the second time can rectify that. Overall, I enjoyed it!
  24. Merry Christmas, everyone!
  25. I agree with both of these. The Witcher had this absolutely spot on by having you leveling up whilst doing sidequests and main quests. At no point did you have to go out somewhere and repeat the same monster killing shit for hours until you were strong enough to go back and progress with the main story. I felt like I was able to do all of my exploring and enjoy the story, which is what the game is there for. I didn't feel like I was wasting my time. I can understand it if there is a reason why you can't progress and then you have options to do something else worthwhile until you can progress, such as questing or challenges, etc. But, having literally nothing else to do but grind seems lame, imo. I would definitely count it as bad game design.
