  1. I'll never understand gamers thirst for games, studios, conventions to "die". re: "all hands on deck for DA and ME", I'd be quite keen for something to play from Bioware before 2025 tbh. A rebooted Anthem would be nice.
  2. Hope they save it, the core gameplay was tons of fun and the game itself was nowhere near the disaster the internet made it out to be, no surprise there.
  3. I'm still using a 4" screen on my first gen iPhone SE, I love this thing. Any other phone I find too big too use comfortably, so if a foldable screen could mean a smaller footprint that extends to something bigger if you need it, great.
  4. Weren't you claiming recently that EPD Tokyo spent 3 and a half years exclusively developing Bowser's Fury? Either they can "be bothered with Switch software" spending that long on a 3+ hour experience, or they didn't actually spend that long on it. I'd rather not say things like devs "couldn't be bothered", without knowing any facts of what went on over there during development. The scope of the game is far bigger than Odyssey, especially when Bowser appears, it goes without saying performance would take a hit. It's disappointing but it's miles from an indication that they've given up on Switch development, given that, you know, we're only half way through the life cycle.
  5. I agree with you, but it's ridiculous to call 30FPS (in handheld mode) evidence of EPD "not giving a shit about Switch games anymore". For the record I'm not saying raw graphics are important, I think 3D World is one of the most beautiful Mario games there is, but they're obviously experimenting with a grander scope in Bowser's Fury and technical compromises obviously had to be made. That doesn't in any way suggest Nintendo "don't care about Switch games", whatever that means.
  6. The hyperbole is even more off the scale than usual. Because a giant openworld sandbox far larger than anything in Odyssey runs at 30fps in handheld mode and 60 docked? The game is a clear step up visually from 3D World, of course there would be some technical compromises.
  7. Nice one @Julius, and ignore what half of the fanbase tell you, next you get to experience the actual best 8bit Mega Man game 3 is a fair bit tougher than 2 though so be warned.
  8. Completely agree with the above two posts. The world would be a much better place without social media. Less fun at times, absolutely, but it's tearing society apart.
  9. I said as much in my post, I realise that Sony and Nintendo probably don't need to try and compete with Game Pass, my point was it's hard to get so impressed by PS Plus and 3 'free' games, when Game Pass offers 300+. Just a random thought really. If Xbox starts to outsell PS5 this gen then maybe they'll make PS Plus a more attractive proposition, but until they, why would they I guess.
  10. Played it for half an hour, that was enough. It was ok for a freebie/PSN game, but one of those games where I feel they spent so long on the concept and the production, and then left "finding the fun" until last, if that makes sense? PS Plus in general is a funny one to me though.. on the one hand, Sony absolutely don't have to do anything more than they are, but on the other, I look Destruction All Stars, Control and Concrete Genie for £7/month.... or literally 300+ games for £8/month on Game Pass. The maths just don't really make sense to me. I get that now on PS5 you have access to all the big hitters from the PS4, but surely if you're a PS fan you've already played most of those. Anyway, don't mean to go off topic, just something that struck me while everyone was saying how amazing this month was. But like I said, Sony don't need to make it better, they've got tons of people subscribing as is.
  11. This game would have been OBLITERATED if it had released at £70, as it was planned to. Easiest move ever to slap a free sticker on it.
  12. Just catching up on Wandavision, enjoyed the first two episodes a lot!! It's great to see something so unique and different for a modern show, if it was just the usual superhero stuff I wouldn't be watching.
  13. Someone at Bioware has only just discovered the bloom and especially lens flare effect. I know the latter was in the original games, but dear god those new screenshots look ridiculous, and cheap. But otherwise, all sounding good! Bit disappointed there aren't native new gen versions releasing though
  14. From various sources it sounds like content will start coming out for this tomorrow I can't wait. I stupidly played ME3 on Wii U without having played the first two because I didn't think I'd end up enjoying it much. Plus it was only £5 on Amazon. Great port though and I ended up falling in love. Been waiting ever since then for a remastered trilogy and now it's finally here.
  15. It's also absolutely stunning, I remember being blown away by the visuals on Wii U, they looked like a step above everything else at the time and it's still gorgeous these days. Better in fact with the resolution bump to 1080p.
  16. 80 million sold to date, guaranteed to pass the Wii at 100 mil now, probably won't reach the PS2/DS (150 mil) though, but you never know...
  17. So many nods to past Treks... TOO MANY nods to past Treks. I enjoyed Lower Decks a lot but the easter egg/reference/in-joke/call-back literally every 30 seconds got seriously annoying a few episodes in. Make your own legacy, stop living off of another show!
  18. Impressions are funny things. I think this one is easily the best of the three. I had a great time and can’t stop thinking about my time with it.
  19. Yeah it's more of a personal story of one man early on, things open up in season 2 though, as you've probably noticed by now! That's how Dave Filoni Star Wars shows typically start off, small scale as you get to know the characters in season 1, then go bigger. I'm actually more of a fan of the slower more intimate episodes like Chapter 2 with the jawas and Chapter 10 with the spiders. Those are probably my two favs. But yeah, amazing show overall!
  20. Yeah, amazing game. Struggled big time at first but soon got into it and started to see why everyone was showering it with praise. Cant speak to the green goo though.
  21. It's excellent. 70+ hours in and I'm having a great time.
  22. Maybe try not using the map at all, I think the overworld is designed so well you can get by without it
  23. Yeah I think Nintendo said as much as part of Mario's 35th celebration
  24. Those LIARS!! I don't see the issue personally. It was always a bit dubious how they could end a game with failure and defeat and most of the characters dying. They've split the timeline before so them doing it again isn't a bit deal I don't think. We were shown the events leading up to BOTW in that game's memories + AoC anyway, so job done in that regard.
