Whenever the internet turns against something, it really turn against something. Dog-piling I think is the term?

Yeah a real gem. Looks gorgeous too

Yeah from his interview it sounds like season 3 won't be long after Boba Fett, so potentially not as big a wait as I suggested, maybe like you say could be earlier in the year. I'm just glad we're getting a season 3, the panicked fan speculation didn't last long thankfully. Frankly with 10 other shows in the works, Mando was never going to hold onto the Christmas slot forever. I think it's smart to give other tentpole series their time in "Star Wars Nov/Dec".

Bother with Astral Chain, a ton of people love it (87 on Metacritic, 8.9 user score). Like Dcubed says if you didn't own a Wii U especially the Switch has an insane amount of 'quality' games, and it's basically the definitive indie handheld. Way too many to list but Mario Odyssey is a great place to start. And don't sleep on Mario + Rabbids either, don't let the latter part put you off, it's a fantastic turn based strategy game. Fire Emblem Three Houses is apparently amazing too.

Fantastic game, probably my GOTY

You might want to spoiler tag most of that @bob I've mellowed a lot on the episode to be fair, my issue with the characters is still there as ever, but the cameo worked for me once I readjusted my expectations for the show. Season 3 could do with not being a cameo-fest though for sure. But I do think all the cameos made sense to the story, which is all that matters really. This one in particular made sense given the storyline, it had to happen. I was just surprised it was so soon.

COVID-19 (The artist formally known as Coronavirus)
Ronnie replied to bob's topic in General Chit Chat
Plenty of people followed the last lockdown. Hence why infections fell over Nov/Dec and the R number went below 1. Since opening up again it's all gone tits up again. -
Ranking the season I'd probably go: 1. The Passenger - I'm sure I'm in the minority, I just really enjoyed the tone and weirdness of it all + the New Republic bits were awesome 2. The Marshal - Just had a really epic feel to it, loved the whole concept and it was beautifully directed 3. The Jedi - Another beautiful episode, great tone to the whole thing 4. The Heiress - Less about Bo-Katan, more Trask in general + frog lady and man + the freighter attack was cool 5. The Tragedy - Great action, fun moments 6. The Believer - Mayfeld brought some personality to the show, and character depth. Plus seismic charges and Pedro Pascal. 7. The Rescue - The episode itself felt a bit by the numbers but I'm slowly appreciating it more I think. Once I accept the change in direction I'll like it more I think 8. The Siege - It was decent enough, but I'm not a fan of Greef Carga much, nor Cara Dune.

The game's sold over 15 million copies. I think their revenue stream will be fine. I'm sure the game will be back on digital storefronts in a few weeks after a couple of patches.
-
Edit: I seem to be in the minority because everyone online seems to be going crazy for the episode, which is great to see at least.

I'd be really surprised if the price gets reduced, I think they'll probably have a re-launch of some kind in 3-6 months time. Maybe coinciding with official next gen versions, that'll be the time to play it. Hopefully some game design issues, of which there are plenty apparently, get ironed out as well

They're not better, they're great, and an example of what QA should be. No misrepresentation of the truth at all, I said they don't 'release first, fix later' and they don't, they release in a stable, bug-free way. Anyway, the rest of the industry needs to wise up. Release dates are utterly meaningless now too. Cyberpunk's original three dates (or was it four?) were laughable. I get that investors need to be kept happy but it's hard to take any date announced in the AAA sense seriously these days.
-
None of them released broken or buggy and had to be fixed at a later date through a number of patches like most other companies rely on. Nintendo is famous for their QA, and rightly so. I think I've seen one bug in 300+ hours of Animal Crossing. If Cyberpunk's Day 1 patch fixed everything then great, but it obviously hasn't, far from it. The AAA landscape is filled with release first, patch later antics, and I wish more took a leaf from Nintendo EPD or possibly Playstation Studios when it comes to stable builds at launch.
-
The sad thing is it isn't just Cyberpunk, the majority of big AAA games follow the 'release first, fix later' approach. It's getting stupid now. The only exceptions are Nintendo obviously and probably Playstation Studios too. Obviously Cyberpunk has taken it to new extremes though.

It's great jumping into a console a few years later, there's tons of great games to play. Like @Vileplume2000 says don't miss Mario + Rabbids @Beast, and don't let the Rabbids scare you off. It's a brilliant game.
-
It got 10/10s from most sites. As @drahkon says, "a solid game".

Guacamelee 2 is 70% off and highly recommended. Amazing game if you like Metroidvanias.

It's pretty baffling how they haven't figured out a way of hiding screen grab icons, on other screen grabs (or notifications in general). If you take 3 screenshots succession, the third one will have the icons of the previous two on the image I thought they would have finally figured it out with the PS5 but seems not.
-
Ridiculous how they sent it out to die. Personally I'll wait till the new year when it'll be bargain bin prices.
-
Nice! Shame about the reduced runtime though, I really enjoyed having an episode every week

Indie World Showcase: 15th December 2020 (17:00 GMT)

Yeah the Japanese game looked terrible and really out of place. Even their indie games look a gen behind the western studios, not just their AAA stuff. Shame no Hollow Knight, but it's big enough for a full Direct, if we ever get one of those again! Was also hoping for Steamworld Dig 3, but maybe a bit too soon for that. -

Spenlunky 1 and 2, hooray! Finally. It blows my mind that it hasn't been on the Indie machine of this past gen yet! Summer though?? sigh. -
It's unfortunate that the game obviously wasn't released ready but I think you're definitely making the right decision. Look at it like you've waited years to play this game, another few months or so doesn't change much and the experience will be so much better.
