Thanks for starting this thread lostmario. I love these kind of threads. Some of my favourites Skeleton Warriors - This used to make me really hyper for some reason. Sonic the Hedgehog (The good one) - The best Sonic Cartoon + Intro period. High Quality Audio Audio Conan The Adventurer - Another cartoon I liked. Season 1 Pokemon Theme Tune - A true classic. Shadow Raiders - I don't think this cartoon was very popular, but I still think it was great.

Does anyone know of any decent Windows hosting that supports SQL 2008 and asp.net 4 mvc 2?

Bought the game today and after a few hiccups, I finally managed to start playing the game. It's a bit laggy though, I don't know if that's because I've got a relatively low-end graphics card or because of something else. Any advice/help would be appreciated.

Question: I only have a dual core 1.6 ghz intel chip. Do you think it will be ok to run this game?

Went to Gamestation, the other day with the intention of buying a Classic Controller Pro. Went to the counter and got offered a second hand one, for £5 cheaper, so I went for it. These controllers are fucking awesome, by the way. Very nice and 10x better than the original Classic Controller. Downloaded Donkey Kong Country and I managed to get to the Ice world quite fast, but now I'm finding it really difficult. The part with the spinning barrels and the wasps was hard. And finally, I've ordered a shmup called Castle of Shikigama iii for Wii.

Donkey Kong Country Series
The Lillster replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I bought Donkey Kong Country today, for the Wii. I got to the Glacier world quite fast, but I'm having difficulty on the first level. Back in the day, I managed to 101% the game. That was using a strategy guide though, I probably can't do it without. -
Long gaming sessions playing Tales of Symphonia [Gamecube] I'd get in from work around 23:30 - 00:00 and relax for a bit. After I've settled down I sometimes had a smoke, then I would play TOS for about six hours straight, go to bed at 6am and then wake up at about four in the afternoon! I was really addicted to the game, I really liked the music and the characters. Unfortunately, I can't get into the big epic games any more. I've tried to get into Fallout 3, but it just doesn't interest me. Hopefully Zelda Wii or something can get me back into these sort of games.

If You Could Destroy The Earth, Would You?
The Lillster replied to ReZourceman's topic in General Chit Chat
Apparently, destruction is a form of creation... so the fact that you want to 'end it' is kind of ironic. -

Need help/advice on getting a job in the I.T sector
The Lillster replied to The Lillster's topic in General Chit Chat
I know , the funny thing is my class mates are really bad with their I.T skills. I was the go to person if you had any computer problems. Most of the time it was something simple like add an image into a Word document and because of this, my class mates thought I was some kind of genius. So yeah, I understand doing something as simple as what I just said, won't get me a £35,000 a year job. To me, virus removal is pretty simple, although I have had trouble with some. The area I need to improve in is, Programming and hardware related problems. The hardest part for me is, knowing where to start. Another question: is Computer Science the Degree I will need? -
Her: "Ahhhh can I keep him?" Pervert guy (thinking in a posh accent): "Ohh I wouldn't mind a piece of that, jolly good show."

Need help/advice on getting a job in the I.T sector
The Lillster replied to The Lillster's topic in General Chit Chat
In terms of self-teaching I'm trying to learn C#, ASP(DOT)NET Web Forms and MVC. I have a long way to go. Once I've learned enough to start developing my own ASP.Net website, I'm hoping by building my own website I will gain even more knowledge. I have designed websites in the past, using Photoshop and Fireworks, I haven't done that in years though and I don't have Adobe Photoshop etc... anymore. The best I have is Microsoft Expression studio. What books would you recommend Raining? I'm going to have a good look for any IT Support jobs, Will', in the College course I did this year, I helped my class mates and my Tutor a lot with computer stuff. It was only basic, things like moving files, USB Pen Drive connection problems, Microsoft Word editing and general stuff. My Tutor said he would give me a reference, so hopefully that will help my cause. Raining, sorry for being dumb, but how do I get experience in the areas you listed, especially networking? - I suppose I could buy a broken PC, fix it and then re-sell it. Don't know what else I can do. I'm saving up for an intense driving course but without a job it's taking too long to save. Thanks for all the help everyone. -
Need help/advice on getting a job in the I.T sector
The Lillster replied to The Lillster's topic in General Chit Chat
I have no job and my previous work experience is only Pizza Hut and Mc Donald's. I was thinking I could contact various Computer repair shops and ask if I could work voluntarily, but I want some advice/tips before I do, so I have a better chance of them accepting me. I don't have any higher education qualifications, but I might have the opportunity to go to University. To get there, I need to complete an Access to Higher education course. I only want to go to University if it's 100% necessary. -

The purpose of this topic: Help me gather as much information as possible General advice My experience regarding I.T related subjects In terms of commercial experience, I have none but I have a lot of self-taught knowledge since I was a kid. I can do things like create basic websites, remove viruses, basic hardware upgrades, excellent knowledge of Windows based operating systems and resolving general computer problems. What I'm doing to help my cause I'm gathering as much information as possible and in my spare time I'm learning ASP(dot)Net with C#. What type of I.T job am I looking for I'm looking for any kind of I.T job. Education (I.T related) I have an ICT GNVQ Intermediate certificate. If anybody can offer me any advice at all, I would be very grateful. Thanks for your time. -
