@Murr I think it just depends who it is :P There are a few really close friends I have on facebook and I'd be more than happy to see their stupid drunken pictures and what not. I think the main problem is seeing this sort of thing from people you barely know but, for whatever reason, you're kind of obliged to have.

Omg, so happy about this. It's my all-time favourite track from any game and I thought we'd never see it again considering it had been re-made on DS! This opens the floodgates to loads of amazing retro tracks again! Personally, I'd love to see Sky Garden come back now too

@Rummy - Wow, initially I thought you'd just missed out on the deal which sounded lame enough but reading back I see it charged you to put money on the eShop but just didn't let you donwload, that's even worse! It should have definitely told you about not having enough space before putting your money on, they basically slyly got that £18 off you knowing that you wouldn't be able to spend it as intended.

@Rummy - Oh man that really does suck, weirdly they seem to find any excuse for you to NOT buy things. I went to download Donkey Kong Land just as my battery went to red and it said I must plug in my 3DS first, plugged it in, it said I need more battery before downloading - Despite being plugged in, because it was on red it wouldn't let me download it! The stupid thing is, downloading gb games over my internet takes 30 seconds tops. Impulse purchases are almost non-existent on Nintendo consoles because of how akward it is to buy anything.

I think I'll actually skip this direct, I'm deflated enough after the 3DS version and think if there's anything left that I haven't already seen I don't want to spoil it. I think this double release has completely killed it for me

I've unfollowed so many people in the last two weeks, unliked a bunch of shit pages from years ago and liked a bunch of new ones that are relevent to my interests and Facebook is a lot more enjoyable again now. Though some of the stuff that really does piss me off: Animal Abuse pictures being shared to 'raise awareness'. I don't want to see a half burnt dog first thing in the morning and yes, it is terrible but sharing a post on facebook is going to do fuck all, there are plenty of other things you could do to actually make a difference, a start would be donating to a decent animal charity, something that would be worthwhile thing sharing as well. Casual Racism: I see SO much of this (or I did until my recent cull), and it was mainly from idiots from school who I don't know why I accepted anyway or old co-workers over the age of 40. I'd always see stupid comments about how 'we shouldn't let any of them in' or how 'Britain is only for the British' but I guess that's what you can expect when you have friends from a failing school and worked in one of the countries shittest stores. The 'Like' feature pisses me off too. I don't mind likes in themselves, I'm always liking stuff, but then one day I realised it can just pop up on any of your friends' facebook walls as a big post saying 'Josh liked this' and show the post. I mean, I liked it so the person posting the content had my like and would be encouraged to post more, not so everyone in my timeline has to see the shit I like. If I wanted to do that I would share it. Alas, I don't like pictures from the Yamamoto Yusuke appreciation page as much now :p

I'd say people who generally download games to their Wii U should already have or no doubt will need very soon a USB hard drive anyway though. I'd actually forgotten how lame the storage was cause I've had my HDD for so long. Yet another oversight by Nintendo to add to the list :p

This is the first time in MONTHS, maybe even a year, that a VC game I've wanted has arrived, heck, TWO! I love the DKC games, so will definitely get the first two and I never got to play Donkey Kong Land so that will be interesting. Also, to everyone that hasn't got it yet, DKC Tropical Freeze is amazing, £25 is a great price for it.

Yeah I'm fully expecting a Most Wanted situation with this (still desperate to get my hands on that game) and I doubt it will ever be under £20. Look at My Horse and Me on Wii, that's the title I referenced earlier in this thread about being a super rare Wii title. Just had a look on Amazon: Used from $75 - New from $165.00 Though I doubt Watch Dogs Wii U is as good as My Horse and Me so we don't have to worry about those sorts of prices :p

Okay, so now that I've fully watched The Walking Dead up until Season 5 episode 1...

I really want to do something for Halloween this year but will have to wait and see, will be starting my job on Monday so I think it's too early to be asking for days off :p When I do know my hours though, if I've got Halloween off I'll be sure to dress as something. Any excuse to dress up and wear makeup.

Is there a way to unlock new moves for specific characters? I have plenty of stuff for my Mii but most characters I've gone to customise haven't had many options (or any at all)

Will the new ship be called Titanic 2? Because I can't imagine that'd do much for customer confidence. It'd be like Nintendo's next console being called Wii U 2.

I have such mixed thoughts about this game! I was loving it initially, then ripped it apart when discussing it with a few people but then, today, saw the light once more. I was on the train home, playng the starfox stage, I was Ness against a level 9 Pikachu. This intense battle was happening and then I suddenly thought of my fat 13 year-old self and all the time I'd spent on that stage. That's when I thought shit, I'm playing a perfect re-creation of that level, perhaps with even better graphics, in 3D, on my handheld console, on a damn train. I think my young self would have had a heart attack. In that moment, I nearly did. It may come short in some regards, but it's still a technical marvel. I just wish it retained more of the Melee charm.

FINALLY gonna start my new job soon (Friday!) . My DRB has came back! Only thing is, it took so long to come back that the person who was gonna train me is now in south africa? So I'll have to travel to a nearby city to get trained. I was slightly worried but did the journey today and it wasn't so bad! Mainly though, I'm just excited and... a bit scared to get started :p I'm glad it's happening, just this really long build up is letting me overthink things. I plan to give it my all though, and I keep reminding myself how toxic my last job was, and that this really is 100% the right thing. So before I get back into work and the real world, I'm gonna have some good nights out. Tonight was one, but after a whole dominoes to myself, I've sobered up quite well. Just gonna listen to my Kpop or Kylie playlist to drift off now.

@flameboy yeah that's definitely the way to go, I would say wait until a sale though as it's not worth the asking price. The only way I kind of justified it was that I got £10 from that Wii U premium promotion thing so it ended up being £25 I'd say £20 would be the sweet spot.

If they don't patch it in for future and some existing games now then man... yet another controller to add to the pile. Wii Remote and Nunchuk Classic Controller Classic Controller Pro Wii U classic Controller GameCube controller and oh ofc, GamePad. All of those work on select games. It's so confusing for new-comers. I guess at least the GamePad does work across all of them but when it comes to multiplayer things can get confusing. Remember to have a Wii Motion Plus and not just a normal Wii Remote too, a normal Wii remote will only work with about half the games! Some games like both! Play some NintendoLand minigames and a Wii Remote is fine, but others? You'll need that Motion Plus! I hope they have one controller next gen that can do everthing, a mix of the U Pro controller and Gamecube. Wii Fit Plus is the craziest. Wii U GamePad, Wii Fit Board, two Motion Plus Wiimotes and a nunchuk required to play all of the minigames. U Walker meter thing as an optional extra.
