@Serebii aah, thanks a lot! It was the Ganon that I wanted most, he looks amazing! So I'm glad that's part of the Club Nintendo stuff

I was off and on about this but I'm almost completely certain I'm gonna get it now. It's a new genre for me and I used to love the Zelda series so this should be interesting. More than anything I just can't wait to play as all the characters. I've heard a lot of talk about launch day free DLC. Is this for everyone, pre-orders, or just people that register on the day? Not sure. Also, as I haven't pre-ordered, I'll be getting it from the town centre tomorrow! If anyone knows of the best price from the likes of GAME/Argos/ASDA etc then let me know! (I'm feeling lazy haha)

@f00had - That's amazing! I might have to get this Monster Hunter after all! The Taiko horn looks amazing but that Sonic looks creepy as hell :p
-
Thats really weird actually, considering Disney Infinity, along with Just Dance, is one of the few third-party games where I'd actually expect them to put more, or at least the same amount of effort into the Wii U version.

I saw a blue Wii (The Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games special edition) with blue Wii Remote in CEX for £35 man. Maaaan was I tempted. I've always loved the look of that Wii but haven't seen it around for ages. I just don't know if I can justify getting a whole new system... Then again, for £35, that's how much I'd be paying for a new Wiimote anyway. Heck, what am I doing here, TO CEX.

Hello man, welcome aboard! Nice to see a new member, it doesn't happen often enough these days! Stick around, I'm sure you'll love it, and all the crazy people it inhabits. Just watch out for @Ashley - He'll try and catfish you. He's not really a Nigerian prince. Or Britney Spears.
-
Yeah, they know they can take a while and did an icer (I think that's what they called it but the phone was hard to hear) and usually they'll be told (yeah, he's fine to work, but can only do training until his DRB comes back) but apparently they hadn't had chance to look yet so they couldn't even confirm me for just training.
-
Sounds good, gives you a nice little holiday before your new role! And I was meant to start training tomorrow but thats been postponed because my DBS hasn't come back yet, uh oh. In other news though, the other place I went for an interview last week rang back and offered me a 37 hour a week contract! I couldn't believe it, never thought I'd end up turning a job down but I do wanna give this current one a try so did in the end.

Honestly, I'm surprised it's even doing 59k -
@Animal - You should calm down by playing your PSP and POWER STONE. But yeah, that place sounds disorganized as hell. Bubbly and Nev?

I feel so relaxed, it's amazing. I was so worked up at my previous job, and then whilst it was great when I left, I always had this niggling worry of WHAT IF. What if I don't get a job anytime soon, what if I spend all my money whilst I don't have a job, what if I have to end up going back into retail anyway.... But now I officially have this new job, oh man. Last night I was so relaxed I literally ended up falling asleep fully clothed on my bed at about half 10. I usually don't sleep until 2 or 3, reading and watching stuff to make myself drop off. So yeah, woke up at 6 this morning, got into pj's and slept a bit more :p

Spped Mario Bros is as lazy as the backwards Mario Bros in the Wii U game :p Will not be bothering with that. And yeah it's a shame this hasn't got any new content but atleast everything has leaderboards now. I wonder if they'll update the Wii U game with leaderboards too.

There was no doubt it would struggle but I'd still say it is a sign of how bad the console market is over there. Just look at Wii's post, despite the low numbers, it was still the best selling home console of the week. -
That's a great price! I got it again a few months ago and that's what shocked me the most - those graphics! It really looks great even now, up there with some of the best looking Wii games I'd say.
-
@Rummy - I have, but only as work experience, never as a full-time job! (Did it in 3 separate places) I used to do 39 hours in my old job so it shouldn't be too much more BUT I imagine this will be harder work :p But I guess it throws me into the swing of things, it may be hard for the first few months but hopefully I'll get used to it! And @Aneres11 I'll tell you when I get it! I'm just looking around for the best deal! I know I have to be quick though because it does seem to be selling out in a lot of places!

Had my interview for Wickes today, I was all prepared again but.. it was all over quite quickly! I'd been used to these hour long interviews so it was weird when she took me upstairs and it was just me and her having a casual conversation for 10 mins. It was for 12 hours a week, weekends and evenings again though, which is what I hated about my other job. BUT... Went job centre visit today and whilst they were pleased that I'd been sending out many application forms and taking interviews they said I have to start doing unpaid voluntary work next week which could end up back in a retail environment. Working in retail for free!? Was not overly pleased about that. Buuut, to cheer up I went to the town centre after it (its literally right next door), saw 'the one that got away' from college and had a great catch up with him, heart all a-flutter and THEN (I don't know why I decided to draw this story out so much but yknow...) I got a call from the place I went to on Friday. I GOT THE JOB! Care home for Dementia patients, 44 hours a week, roll on rota so I only work 1 out of every two weekends! AWESOME. I'm genuinely, really surprised. There were loads of applicants for that one, and of the interviews I had this week, I thought that went the worst just by how I presented myself and was my typical awkward self :p But I loved the look of the place and it's for the best as it turns out the place I went to on Monday (they won;t get back in touch till tuesday) was a zero hour contract. So again, I wouldn't have known whether I was coming or going. So yeah, CRB check on Friday, two training days next week and then when the CRB comes I'm back in work! After so long saving money, I'm gonna buy the fuck out of a Peach Wii Remote now.

Anyone wanna provide me with a hat I can eat? I honestly never thought this was getting released on the Wii U. It is a shame there's gonna be no good uses for the GamePad but a port is better than nothing. Let's just hope they've used this extra time to make it a really decent port. I've heard it's from the same guys who did ASS CREED 3 and Flag. If I remember rightly, whilst 3 isn't as good a game, it was much better framerate and filter wise, wheras Black Flag, whilst a great game, was far worse technically.

Awesome, I will! And what timing, today is the 15th anniversary of the Dreamcast!!
-
The Labyrinth and BOTH Amazing Spider Man films! If you watch all three in one go, it's said that your legs turn to jelly permanently. But good steal either way! And way to show them about their terrible pricing labels! I've been tricked into over-priced things far too many times!

Awesome, I'll try and watch most of this! Anyone know when the UK time is?

MineCraft just never dies does it? Saying that, I was close to buying it today, just waiting to get it at around £10. And surprising to see Tomodachi climb up once more. Is there a new promotion for it? And it seems the whole Sim City debacle last year and no pre-release reviews didn't put people off the Sims 4, a bit surprised by that actually. -
@Happenstance Oh no! You'll have to keep yourself occupied in Tomodachi Life until then :P You should give me the link when you start playing it though, I'd love to watch a play through!

I hope you're enjoying it! I still have yet to play Shenmue 1 and 2 but have such a SEGA itch lately that I really want to get back into the Dreamcast scene. I did get one two years ago and it worked fine for a while, also let me play some amazing games, like the original Space Channel 5 and POWER STONE but it started to get a bit funny reading discs. 30 Mins into Sonic Shuffle it just crashed, then it kept loading stuff too slow in games like Crazy Taxi 2 and eventually the sound just totally stopped working too, weird. But it was only £20 for the console and looked a bit beaten and used when I got it so I could do with just re-investing! On the subject of SEGA though, my local game shop GAME CAVE, used to just do 360, PS3 and some Wii stuff, has now started stocking retro stuff again. No Nintendo stuff yet but LOADS of Mega Drive games. It's making me wonder whether I should invest in a Mega Drive or just leave it, as I think I have most of the games I want on 360 from the Live Arcade now anyway. I'll see how I feel the next time I'm going past there :p

Yeah my local CEX is crazy for GameCube games. One week it will have about 4 games, all terrible, like Fifa 05 and some Hello Kitty games, then other weeks it will be a goldmine - Tales of Symphonia, Sunshine, Melee, Double Dash. I looked in this week and no joke, for some reason, they have five copies of Pokémon Colleseum and one other game (can't remember, was an american football game I think) WHY!? @Cube - Glad to hear the soundtrack is good Have you watched the film as well? I'm gonna buy it sometime this week, I have high hopes! He's the reason I made my Youtube account back in 2007 Popped into a charity shop on the way home today (as suggested by my friend Darren who told me he got a BOXED, great condition Super Mario World for 99p) - My journey wasn't so successful, but I got the Wii version of Goldeneye for £3. Had a go on it, not bad, mainly got it for multiplayer anyway though, so will play it more when I have people over!

Had my interview for the self-owned care home today. This one only has 6 residents but that's because they need more attention, ranges from autism to bi-polar with depression. Weirdly, I got on really well with the interviewer, I felt so relaxed and it didn't really feel like an interview. Which is good for me as I'm naturally nervous speaking to anyone new, especially at interviews. There was another woman in the interview room too who runs 5 other homes in my area and said there are 4 positions available, so if I'm interested, I could be considered for those too. So I said yes. So will find out on Tuesday if I have a job at either the care home I visited or one of the others she runs. Then on the walk home got a call from Wickes. I'd left a CV there 2 months ago and kind of forgot about it. I'm not especially looking at going back into retail now but it's an option! So I've got an interview for there on Wednesday!
