I was playing online with f00had yesterday and pulled off such a beautiful banana throw

Aah, so who is she?! Is she literally a new character they made up?
-
I'm not sure who Lana is but she looks awesome! I can only hope she sings plenty of Hatsune Miku songs when on the battlefield.
-
@Ike where did you get the CD!? That's literally my favourite gaming OST of all time <3 ...Much better than the game itself haha

So how was your first day, boy? Did you show them all that you're a boss ass bitch? #SuchIsLife

I am really tempted to get goat simulator now :p And I may finally have a new job lined up for October! I have a friend who works in a care-home, it's a really nice converted farm (still have their own chickens and alpacas) with a big focus of just letting the residents have fun and to do what they want as oppose to some of the others I went to (no set eating or waking up times, just like a care-home hotel I guess? :p) and has a really nice atmosphere, they've got their new little poodle walking around the place and take the people out to see all the animals on nice days too. Anyway, about 2 months ago she said there's no jobs going but had told the boss lady about me and she suggested I come and have a look around! So I went for a look around and got on really well with her and she took me upstairs and started asking me questions. About 20 minutes in I guess I realised it was a sort of interview? haha. Anyway, she said "there's no concrete jobs on offer right now, but we'd really like to have you on board and there WILL be jobs in the near future as one member of staff is going to retire soon and another will be reducing her hours, so I'll get back in touch soon when something comes up". Anyway, this was 2 months ago as I said and I kinda assumed that was perhaps just her nice way of letting me down but to my surprise I got a call last week! It was from her, she said there will definitely be a job in October as one of the ladies are having a year maternity leave and then returning on reduced hours, if I still wanted the job of course. I said that'd be great and she said she'd be back in touch by the end of September then! The only thing is it's a bit far out and in a little village, no train or bus access, so I'd have to drive there, which I can't do yet :p For the interview I went by taxi and it was £7.70 each way. Buuuuuut saying that, I did have a LOT of driving lessons and nearly even went for my practical test before I realised (a day before no less) that I couldn't find my driving counterpart. So I had to cancel. Not to mention I was kinda really freaking out about it anyway. ANYWAY, today I've finally decided to get back into my driving (as a result of this job) and sent off for my replacement counterpart which will apparently take about a week! Then I'll be taking some driving lessons again and hopefully pop onto my test in a few months! SO hopefully things are looking up after what has admittedly been a glum 2014! FIRST STEP 2 FOREVER

I'm enjoying this but I must admit it seems to go at a much slower pace than I expected. Judging from the Direct, I assumed crazy stuff would be going on all the while, but there seems to be a lot of downtime between events where your mii's don't get up to all that much and I don't have many items to give them to spark anything either. Perhaps that's just because I haven't had the game for long enough though. Still enjoying it either way, just a bit disappointed with the pace.

I've been trying to stay optimistic (hard to believe I know :P) these last few months but fuck, man. I really don't know how much longer I can bloody stand it for. I'm so sick of taking one day at a time, one hour at a time, being exhausted for every shift, being mentally drained, having to pep myself up, not wanting to wake up every morning. Jesus, man. Anyway, I must dash, another day of taking things an hour at a time is upon me.

Got it £25 from the eShop with my £10 discount! Definitely glad I have it on the system itself, seems like one you can happily dip in and out of! Enjoying it so far Only put 5 people on atm!

Yeah I agree, it's just a shame it's never lived up to the N64/DS days of Battle mode. I mean, it's bad enough having to play on normal maps (I don't care what they say about seeing levels in a new way, it's clearly a time saving measure and the design of the maps really dont work for battle mode) but why force a time limit? I used to love it on the N64 on block fort, agreeing to allow the first 5 mins to protect your coloured block with bananas before trying to protect your land, some battles would go on for ages but it was so fun! Also, the green shell rule on block fort was to always throw them into the road below, so the few times you do go back down there for whatever reason, there's loads of green shells bouncing around all over the place. Damn man, Block Fort DLC has to happen

Yeah, the map thing is stupid, played two player local battle mode yesterday (I know, WHAT WAS I THINKING?!) and I had an unbelievable advantage by having the map on my gamepad screen

I'm so tempted to get this but I'm still on the fence, if anyone has a demo code it would be greatly appreciated! EDIT: Just checked network premium and I have two £5 codes... is this cheaper than £35 anywhere? I can't tell if it will be a Mario Kart DS situation and still be this price in 7 years time :p Or do a Sonic and be dirt cheap by next month

The $500 million would be worth it if it meant we could finally have Viewtiful Joe 3

Ugggh, I can't wait for this. I was interested after the trailer, but not too sure. After watching all of the (and there was a lot :P) footage on Nintendo Treehouse yesterday I'm sold. I really want it, like now. It's a shame we have to wait until 2015! And yeah, I don't know what it is about the style but I REALLY like it, I saw some people at the event got pins of the squids? Man, I'm jealous. Of all the E3's I've ever wanted to attend, I really wish I was at this one! Also, I'm out of thanks but pretty much every post on this page needs one :P Especially for SMTV

Smash Bros Invitational(spoilers, obvs) - Midnight tonight!
Josh64 replied to Rummy's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I was fine with the stages (especially as stages are the few things we don't know much about, so I don't mind if they're a surprise on launch and we see just the same few for now) but just WATCHING that yellow devil looked annoying as hell. Ugh, I can't imagine actually playing it. -
I was very disappointed by these, looked like crappy tech demos or Nintendo Land DLC at best - and when I heard Miyamoto had been working on new games to push the GamePad, I was expecting something as hard hitting as Wii Sports and Fit, not this! Ah well, at least there were other good things on offer. Miyamoto was probably just drunk all of last year.

Why do you frequent gaf? It sounds like you hate it and I don't think it's worth bringing that place up in here either :p Yeah, E3 was so good this year, really reminded me of why I've been a Nintendo gamer for so long! Are there any official times for treehouse stuff I need to know about today?

Just as I was about to go to sleep I go to check Twitter one last time and BAM! Are these just announcements or are there videos to go with them?!

Smash Bros Invitational(spoilers, obvs) - Midnight tonight!

Oh my lord that was amazing! So glad I stayed up for this! This has been the best E3 for years, so hyped I don't think I can sleep :p -
I wasn't overly blown away by their initial direct (though it was decent) but this treehouse thing afterwards has been amazing. I haven't had this much fun following Nintendo stuff since I used to rip open NOM magazines before the days of the internet. So exciting. Also, HYRULE WARRIORS! Looks so hot man. The new Zelda game also looks beautiful. But... dat squid game. Oh man. Am waiting for the Smash Bros tournament now and the atmosphere looks amazing! This E3 has to be my favourite since 2004. Faith in Nintendo restored.

That's a good length! I always felt 30 mins was a bit too short but when watching the microsoft one yesterday, it dragged out for a bit TOO long :p

Sonic games aren't bad these days!! Gosh, Sonic 2006 tarnished the 3D Sonic name so much. I can't name a bad game since Unleashed, and that wasn't bad in the eyes of many. Then again... this could very well prove you all right again so we'll just wait and see.

Yeah, you're right. And honestly, whilst the voice-overs and general look of the game piss me off, it probably appeals to kids more than most Sonic games have in the past 10 years. I sometimes forget that games aren't always specifically aimed at me, I guess that applies to this Sonic game more than ever with it being a kind of tie-in with the new TV show.
