  1. @Animal 12201 0n Just Dance! Finally! haha, sorry it took so long, I haven't been on the Wii U much this month!
  2. No deal for Remix 2? I guess that'll be another game I pass up on :p Good one, Nintendo.
  3. I'll be shocked if they don't do a conference this year. They'll just seem even more out of the console race if they don't have their own show whilst Microsoft and Sony do, even if at this point they're in the race with a broken leg anyway.
  4. If this is true then it must have been something introduced in the last week or so - Two weeks ago I was getting stars for stuff I'd downloaded on 3DS in 2012! @Ike - It was iTunes I used, but this morning when I fired it up it did give me the option to choose the album (only like a week late :P)
  5. Have you checked the section for downloaded games? Perhaps there's one or two you haven't registered and can get stars from!
  6. I ran out of thanks but fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. I got 18 Wheeler back in the day and fucking loved it. Though I paid £20 for the GC version soon after release, am I mad? :p That parking mini-game is freakin' awesome though. Oh man, just thinking about it makes me wanna get on eBay and snap the game up again!! As for me, I finally got a Kinect with Kinect Adventures and Sonic Riders for £32! I'm really liking it so far (especially the Kinect Fun Labs stuff) and the controls and interaction are surprisingly good. Unsurprisingly Sonic Riders is a bit iffy, my on screen character tends to start flickering about after a while but what would a 3D Sonic game be without glitches everywhere? :p And in general its just so full on. In one race you'll be doing literal spin jumps, crouching to charge, tilting, shaking your arm for items - It's a good work out though. But yeah, I fished out Child of Eden again and I loved it anyway but that game is awesome on Kinect! I'm not sure what to get next but will probably invest in Kinect Sports just to get my RARE fix. AND - Good old eBay, got myself a stone-cold GameCube classic: I don't care what people say, I love this game and it's my all-time favourite StarFox title. Though I'd forgotten how hilarious the dinosaur language voice acting is at the start of the game :p "sticka oh crazook a DINOSAUR PLANET sinba sheesh ack GENERAL SCALESSSSSSSSSSSS"
  7. Sorry man! I totally forgot about it! I haven't been on my Wii U much the last week. I'm off tomorrow and have no plans though so will post my score then for sure! I also need to see if they have any new DLC!
  8. I really loved this film! I enjoyed the first one but there was just so much going on in this. I don't often enjoy superhero movies that much because I never really feel for the characters and the story-lines are just too absurd for me but I absolutely love this, especially in comparison to the 2000's Spider-man films :p The multiple villains also made it such a good watch, it was refreshing to see so much happening and not just your usual rivalry unfolding over the duration of the entire film. That thing after the credits though, what the hell? I looked to my friend and asked what the hell was going on, she then told me it was a random X-men trailer. Lol ok, a bit misleading to people that don't particularly follow all of the marvel series though.
  9. I was super impressed when I got the booklet out, you dont often get that kind of quality and attention to detail in a retail CD release these days so it's even more impressive on what is technically a free gift! Only slight annoyance was the lack of track listing when putting it on my phone. TRACK 1, TRACK 2, etc.. god damn.
  10. It's not bad just checking your phone every now and then, but I'll agree that if you're out with someone and they spend loads of time on their phones it can be annoying. I spend as little time as possible on my phone if I have company, even if it means not responding to a text right away (which I don't think is a bad thing either, but people can get so funny if I take a few hours to respond to a text which is probably a good example of people being too hooked on technology). But I'll agree that I probably use technology too much, which has good and bad effects. Take work for example, right now I hate every aspect of it, so on my breaks I tend to sit by myself and get lost in my phone. This is good in a sense because it takes me out of my shitty situation but in a way, it just makes me even more disconnected from the workplace and the people I work with and in the long run is probably having a much worse effect on me. Like anything, it's all about how much you use it and how often. On a whole, obviously technology is a good thing, I've met some of the best people through the internet (and a lot of cases on this very forum) but it's all about how and when you use it.
  11. Oh man, that multiplayer in WarioWare was insane fun. I have fond memories of the turtle game. And some of the 4-player minigames they threw in were really fun, I loved running away from the creepy rabbit. But yeah, despite being 'lazy' I still had loads of fun out of it, and as many have said, it was released as a budget game... just like NES Remix. So what if NES Remix is lazy, people like it, it can't really be that much of a burden on Nintendo's staff, it's not like it's a replacement for the next HD Metroid, and it gives us another game to play in this everlasting Wii U drought. They need more games like this. HD remakes, remixes, stuff that is great fun to play but easy to develop, so we have something to play before the big hitters. Heck, Pilotwings on 3DS was 'lazy' but still one of my favourite games on the system. Give me more filthy cheap shit.
  12. Haha, the full rpg thing made me laugh. And @Guy - go eat a hat:
  13. Urgh, I keep forgetting to do my pre-order for Mario Kart. I really want the T-shirt and shell so waiting for the perfect moment to blow £60
  14. I made a mock-up: lost the screen, the camera and the mic but y'know, it's not like they're often used. Changed the buttons a bit, too: Perfect, I think.
  15. I do think there's such a lack of variety now, but I'm guessing it's because they can no longer take such big risks, with longer development times and what feels like (I have no idea, honestly) less development teams? (though I know about Rare obviously, such a big loss in my eyes) In the GameCube era I was constantly surprised, F-Zero with its amazing speed, Starfox Adventures giving a whole new take on the franchise, Metroid Prime, a classic game re-imagined, Wind Waker - Zelda like we'd never seen it and then there were the awesome, crazy surprises: DONKEY KONGA, an AMAZING new franchise called Animal Crossing, bizarre out of the blue releases like Doshin the Giant, Pikmin and Chibi Robo. LUIGI'S MANSION for gods sake! It always felt so exciting, like Nintendo were just bursting with new ideas, new characters and covering so many genres and making new installments in series you knew yet would have never thought of - Jungle Beat was a 2D platformer but you couldn't get much more off the wall than that with its level design and controls. Now they feel very stuck to the same old patterns. If one thing goes well now, they just milk it to death. How many 2D platformers did we have before New Super Mario Bros on DS? Not many. How many now? 2D platformers are as over-saturated on their consoles as FPS games are on 360. We all keep asking for a new Metroid, new Starfox, new F-Zero but honestly... I really can't see it happening now. Nintendo seem to be stuck on Mario/Kirby/Zelda - especially Zelda, it's gone from a main instalment every 4 years or so to pretty much one main game per year across Nintendo platforms. And I know, for some reason 'it wouldn't work', but a home console Pokémon is such a HUGE missed opportunity it's unreal.
  16. Got a capture card last week (maybe even the week before) and have finally got it working. Did this for my ass man @Ashley :
  17. They really need a conference, not only is a conference more fun and exciting (not exactly important in the long run, but very important for getting people hyped about Nintendo games) but it also shows them to a bigger audience. I really think the Nintendo Direct last year was terrible - not because of the games delivered, there were some quality titles in there, but the hype around it. Microsoft and Sony had these big presentations, flashy lights, we had Iwata infront of a wall speaking, in what was weirdly out of character, without much passion/emotion/his usual quirkyness. It actually felt like Nintendo had to quickly produce a video on a shoe-string budget or something.
  18. I would keep the camera for sure, I've had a lot of fun in the few apps/games that use it. And whilst I don't use the Sensor Bar, I know a lot of people that play Wii games on the GamePad so I think that should be kept in too. Despite this, the dead space on the top (and bottom) could still be greatly reduced. Other than that I don't really mind, but good lord, GIVE US PROPER SHOULDER BUTTONS. A mixture of the 360 and GameCube ones, the sensitivity of the 360 ones for racing games and such, but with that satisfying click the GameCube ones had. I also think the normal L and R buttons should be more like the Z button on the GameCube, they're so big and gross on the GamePad. And whilst the shiny finish looks nice initially, I think it'd make more sense (and less thumb prints) to have a matt finish, at least where the buttons and analogue sticks are.
  19. Oh man, I was interested already, but after seeing the Direct, I really can't wait. It was one of the best Directs in a long time just for the humour, and the craziness on show just takes me back to the glory days of DS. I haven't seen something this weird and inventive from Nintendo for a long time so I'm very excited. Reminds me of how impressed I was the first time I picked up Wario Ware!
  20. Got it! And 3000 seems surprisingly cheap considering the price of a lot of things on there! EDIT: I got it in such a hurry I didn't pay much attention but wow - A double CD with 77 tracks! EDIT 2: I'm continuing with my downloaded games surveys. For Rabbids land I decided to be honest, clicked on 'other' for all the options as to why I bought it and when it gave me the text box to explain why I bought it: "I got home drunk and must have thought it was a good idea at the time. When I woke up and saw this on my home-screen the next day I realised the grave mistake I'd made. Rabbids games aren't the best..." Still, it could have been worse. Could have been Funky Barn or something.
  21. I wasn't worried about the release until yesterday, now I just really want confirmation that it's still out this year. I can't help but think this whole direct is very fishy indeed
  22. I think I would die in my chair if it got pushed to 2015 :p Heck, EVERY character can have Waluigi hands if it means we get it this year!!
  23. Thanks for the tips! I'll start doing pull ups for sure, I'm fairly tall and my door has a 'lip' on it, so I could do them on there. As for the cheapo weights, I'll get something sorted. I'm sure there's plenty of heavy things around the house I could lift up and down for a while :P Heck, Banjo is a heavy lump, and he loves it when I pick him up and move him around the house (though I couldn't really use him as a weight, that'd feel wrong ahahaha) And my push ups are dependent on the day I think. They actually seem easier when I've been fairly active the day before. Like yestersay, I did a 12 hour shift, changing store ends around too which meant lifting out big shelves and putting them in different places - Today has felt a lot easier doing press ups than after my 3 days off work! I've just gotta keep active I guess. And yeah, I've definitely gained weight, even if it's the good kind. Which is a shame really, as I'm always attracted to skinny, toned guys so was hoping I could go for the same look but if anything, this just seems to be making me stockier :p If I can look like G-Dragon I'll be happy:
  24. Just because Sonic Transformed was a launch game, doesn't excuse the ridiculous amount of bugs in multiplayer. There's ambition, and then there is just helplessly punching above your weight. But then, that's what SEGA is known for. Reading through that history of Sonic book, pretty much every Sonic game seemed to have these ambitious ideas that were rushed for deadlines and ultimately ended up mediocre. I can see your point, they did make the effort, but when it's such a half-baked result, you have to wonder whether they should have really given it the green light. As I said, it was so poor at times it really put me off the game, and I know I'm not the only one. Launch title or not, there should still be some quality control, though I guess Sonic isn't exactly known for that nowadays, so why change a long-lasting tradition? :p
