The transitions between animations are terrible, they seem to jump from one position to another, this has got a while to release though so I'm guessing stuff like that can be ironed out. The voice overs were the hardest part for me :P Sonic had come such a long way and distanced itself from the days of awful voice acting and (whilst a guilty pleasure) terrible rock music with Generations and Colours, but they've just completely reverted to their old ways. They've even started sprouting out new, terrible characters, something I thought they were done with forever! I wouldn't be surprised if they just go all out and have a spin-off character of Big the cat.

Oh man, that looks so much worse than I was expecting I actually had fairly high hopes for this. I could barely make it through the entire video! And for gods sake, I wish they'd finally decide if they're going for 2D or 3D - I'm so sick of flipping between the two now.

@Aneres11 Smyths toy store! It's one of the few places that still has big sections for Wii and Wii U actually! Can't order it off the site ATM as far as I know, though!!

Oh MAN! I lost so many hours to this on the N64 back in the day <3 Made some pretty kick ass levels if I remember correctly, too! The only downer was having to use the N64 memory pak which meant I could only save around 4 levels at a time. I had no idea it was on Dreamcast but will have to pick it up now! I imagine it will be slightly more polished on the best system ever made.

I'm so tempted to get this but with all the games I've got going on right now I might wait a bit!

This would be cool but most likely fake and if not... why the original Mario Bros.? I've thought for the past New Super Mario Bros games now that a level editor should be included. A whole NSMB as a level editing game would be really cool and the art-style would reach out to a wider audience as oppose to appealing more to the retro gamer. Still a pretty shit fake. I mean c'mon, where's the damn Nintendo On's and stuff? I was so in love with this :P Even if it would have meant literally inserting a disc into my head.

Last week, obviously: Aaaand, I really don't have the money but I was like, LET'S JUST DO IT (Also, my friend was working at Smyths and got me his staff discount so bagged it for £31!) It looks so hot in the flesh it's unreal. Hnnnnnnnnng. Was so tempted to get the Peach one too but as I said, money woes but also, this takes me up to 4 Motion Plus Wii Motes! I can finally get rid of my last remaining white Wiimote with gross Motion Plus block on: I'm actually impressed with my remote collection now! It's the kind of thing my 2007 self would have probably died twice over about.

@ChloboShoka You should, there's no harm in asking and if it will make you feel a lot better then it's worth a try! And I just wanna thank you all so much for your messages over the last few days. I've always loved this place, but it has given me a new found appreciation over the past week! It sounds crazy, but the way I was feeling, I really would have struggled to get through this week without you guys. You've all kept me sane and it's been nice knowing there's a place to come to where I can vent and not worry about being a burden! When I win the EuroMillions you're all coming over to my (Luigi themed) mansion for a Just Dance party.

Mario Kart League makes me sad I've always wanted to join but have different days in work every week so can't commit to it! Heck, I think the last time I could commit to a tournament was Wifi Karts :p I am liking the online to a degree, but I have to agree, the Wii one felt so far ahead of everything else on the system and this seems to struggle to match the Wii version at best. But the game itself is still top notch, so there's something. I'm also almost 100% we WILL see DLC in this game. Firstly, the Honda promo in Japan is a big clue, the lack of true battle mode levels (I'm sure they'll be a pack for some) and the fact I found a banner in the game in Royal Raceway... FUCKING BIRDO.

That's insane!! I was also under the impression it would just get over a million in it's lifetime, given the sales of other big Wii U titles like Mario 3D World and Nintendo Land. I guess it's easy to forget how much of an impact Mario Kart Wii and DS had, I think they really re-invigorated Mario Kart and bought it back into the public eye. Definitely much bigger now than it was in the 64/GC era. So, is Mario Kart officially bigger than the typical 3D Mario adventure? I think so. Especially considering the Wii sales of Galaxy 1 and 2 to Mario Kart Wii. I hope it can continue! And wtf, they hope to reveal more stuff at E3 NEXT WEEK? Am I reading this wrong or is E3 really next week? Geez, I've had my head in the clouds lately...

I hit rock bottom earlier today, thought I was doing fine just lately too but man, I haven't felt this low in years. Literally felt like someone had died... I was brushing my teeth earlier when I suddenly just happened to think about all of the shit that's going wrong, and when I realised work is just tip of the iceberg (though is what pushed me too far today I think) it worried me even more. When I actually stop and think about it, I'm just so fucked in so many ways and it's made even worse that I find it hard to talk to anyone about it, for some reason, this thread is one of the few places I can let off a bit of steam. But yeah, it was worrying, a mini-breakdown of sorts, just couldn't control myself and was uncontrollably crying, locked myself in my old room and was just on the floor trying to breathe, wasn't sure if I'd be able to bring myself to come out. I've gotta leave for work in 20 mins or so, so I'm just trying to get myself back to normal. I literally felt like I almost lost my mind an hour ago. It's at this point that I'm starting to think I can't just shrug it off anymore, I've been down and stuff for a good while now but it's never took me over like that, I couldn't think straight. So yeah, just gonna try and work through today and then I've really gotta stop brushing stuff under the rug. Before it kinda felt like I was a float, I'd keep being dragged under but somehow bounced my way back to the surface again, but now it feels more like... I'm on a slippery hill and just can't get a footing. And there's like a big shark at the bottom or something.

I thought the GC Pad announcement was great! From what I heard they don't allow wireless controllers for tournaments? So Smash4 would have been pretty screwed without it! And call me a stubborn bastard, but I can't imagine Smash Bros without a GameCube pad! I never played the orginal so got that on VC, so literally every Smash game I've played has been with that pad.

Damn it, I would have got one whilst out for Mario Kart earlier if I'd have known! And yeah, it's really odd timing but better late than never :P The white and green on the Yoshi remote looks heavenly

I'm really quite liking it at the moment, not blown away by it at all, but then I wasn't really expecting to be, I think Mario Kart is just Mario Kart now, can't expect too much in extra content but as a multiplayer game it's great. One of the main things I love though is the handling, it feels so much better than Wii and 7, not sure what it is, but I'm doing way better than I did on those two games. Also, the graphics are really nice but being the nit-picker I am, I couldn't help but notice a few annoying niggles like those damn ugly trees (though even super high-budget COD games have those damn horrible 2D leaves all just mashed into each other) and shudder 2D crowds. But yes, certainly one of the more impressive looking games out there! For the most part, the retro tracks are awesome! I love what they've done to modernise them, and whilst they aren't particularly the best tracks from the series history, the added anti-gravity segments really bring them to life. The only ones I've been annoyed over are the two N64 tracks - Yoshi's Valley and Royal Raceway - You can't access Peach's Castle! And Yoshi's Valley, ugh, he roads are so much wider and for the most part have barriers on either side! Most of the fun in that level was that the paths were so thin and had a massive death pit either side! And battle mode is shit, but they've been dead set on ruining it since Double Dash so I'm not surprised :p But yeah, for the most part, I'm really enjoying it!

Are those Yoshi and Peach Wii Remotes out now? If so I'm all over them. Currently have the Red Wii Remote and Mario and Luigi ones, the Red one is being a bit weird though, the pointer will flicker every now and then, and I've checked with other Wii Remotes to see if it's the Sensor Bar and seemingly not :/ But yeah, it gives me an excuse to shell out for the Yoshi and Peach Wiimotes at the very least! It just begs the question... what games now apart from Just Dance will use the things? I feel as though Wii Party U and Mario & Sonic Olympics were probably the last games to use them as motion controllers and not just NES type ones to be held on their side.

Battling with my own head again today, I've felt /so/ down all day and don't really have a reason to be, other than being utterly unmotivated for life in general :p but I haven't been this pathetic and helpless in as very long time, I just can't do anything to snap out of it. It's one of those days where I just wanna curl up in a ball and sleep for a few weeks, which is weird because id felt fine and dandy all week. I think maybe I just need to get a day for myself again, this usually happens when every day for the way few weeks has either been at work, some social thing or both. A day locked away playing stuff and listening to music is probably all the defragmenting I need - just gotta wait till Tuesday for that to happen!

That's really lame but as a lot of you have said, hopefully it's something they can patch with an update. So right now the only thing the USB's are good for is charging controllers and using mics?

As far as I can see, Tomodachi Life as a 'life simulator' is a very vague term, it's clearly not very realistic and more about bizarre situations and crazy interactions than trying to simulate normal every day lives in any way. It's also clearly a mistake on Nintendos part for not including gay relationships, either because of the cultural thing that everyone has banged on about, because of merely overlooking it or because this is such a small part of a game that is so far removed from reality in the first place they simply didn't think to include it. Do they allow you to save a prince instead of a princess in Mario? You may say that's an absurd comparison, but honestly, can anyone take this as a serious life sim? If you're gonna look at miis worshipping a Virtual Boy and claim this is a LIFE SIM so it should allow gay people to marry one another (Or date, or run across the beach, or whatever it is) then pretty much anything should have that option. Obviously, it would be great if it was an option, but it's so clearly obvious how it can be overlooked in such an unrealistic game that's aimed towards a young demographic that it's absurd to think this is some sort of message from Nintendo or some homophobic jab. Honestly, if this was something like the sims I could understand but given the game at hand, you may as well say Nintendo are homophobic for not allowing you to breed two male Mr Mimes. (And this is why I wasn't going to comment on it as I know this will be an unpopular opinion but... It's late and I can't sleep so whatever)
