I was very disappointed by these, looked like crappy tech demos or Nintendo Land DLC at best - and when I heard Miyamoto had been working on new games to push the GamePad, I was expecting something as hard hitting as Wii Sports and Fit, not this! Ah well, at least there were other good things on offer. Miyamoto was probably just drunk all of last year.

I wasn't overly blown away by their initial direct (though it was decent) but this treehouse thing afterwards has been amazing. I haven't had this much fun following Nintendo stuff since I used to rip open NOM magazines before the days of the internet. So exciting. Also, HYRULE WARRIORS! Looks so hot man. The new Zelda game also looks beautiful. But... dat squid game. Oh man. Am waiting for the Smash Bros tournament now and the atmosphere looks amazing! This E3 has to be my favourite since 2004. Faith in Nintendo restored.

That's a good length! I always felt 30 mins was a bit too short but when watching the microsoft one yesterday, it dragged out for a bit TOO long :p

Sonic games aren't bad these days!! Gosh, Sonic 2006 tarnished the 3D Sonic name so much. I can't name a bad game since Unleashed, and that wasn't bad in the eyes of many. Then again... this could very well prove you all right again so we'll just wait and see.

Yeah, you're right. And honestly, whilst the voice-overs and general look of the game piss me off, it probably appeals to kids more than most Sonic games have in the past 10 years. I sometimes forget that games aren't always specifically aimed at me, I guess that applies to this Sonic game more than ever with it being a kind of tie-in with the new TV show.

The transitions between animations are terrible, they seem to jump from one position to another, this has got a while to release though so I'm guessing stuff like that can be ironed out. The voice overs were the hardest part for me :P Sonic had come such a long way and distanced itself from the days of awful voice acting and (whilst a guilty pleasure) terrible rock music with Generations and Colours, but they've just completely reverted to their old ways. They've even started sprouting out new, terrible characters, something I thought they were done with forever! I wouldn't be surprised if they just go all out and have a spin-off character of Big the cat.

Oh man, that looks so much worse than I was expecting I actually had fairly high hopes for this. I could barely make it through the entire video! And for gods sake, I wish they'd finally decide if they're going for 2D or 3D - I'm so sick of flipping between the two now.

@Aneres11 Smyths toy store! It's one of the few places that still has big sections for Wii and Wii U actually! Can't order it off the site ATM as far as I know, though!!

Oh MAN! I lost so many hours to this on the N64 back in the day <3 Made some pretty kick ass levels if I remember correctly, too! The only downer was having to use the N64 memory pak which meant I could only save around 4 levels at a time. I had no idea it was on Dreamcast but will have to pick it up now! I imagine it will be slightly more polished on the best system ever made.

I'm so tempted to get this but with all the games I've got going on right now I might wait a bit!

This would be cool but most likely fake and if not... why the original Mario Bros.? I've thought for the past New Super Mario Bros games now that a level editor should be included. A whole NSMB as a level editing game would be really cool and the art-style would reach out to a wider audience as oppose to appealing more to the retro gamer. Still a pretty shit fake. I mean c'mon, where's the damn Nintendo On's and stuff? I was so in love with this :P Even if it would have meant literally inserting a disc into my head.

Last week, obviously: Aaaand, I really don't have the money but I was like, LET'S JUST DO IT (Also, my friend was working at Smyths and got me his staff discount so bagged it for £31!) It looks so hot in the flesh it's unreal. Hnnnnnnnnng. Was so tempted to get the Peach one too but as I said, money woes but also, this takes me up to 4 Motion Plus Wii Motes! I can finally get rid of my last remaining white Wiimote with gross Motion Plus block on: I'm actually impressed with my remote collection now! It's the kind of thing my 2007 self would have probably died twice over about.

@ChloboShoka You should, there's no harm in asking and if it will make you feel a lot better then it's worth a try! And I just wanna thank you all so much for your messages over the last few days. I've always loved this place, but it has given me a new found appreciation over the past week! It sounds crazy, but the way I was feeling, I really would have struggled to get through this week without you guys. You've all kept me sane and it's been nice knowing there's a place to come to where I can vent and not worry about being a burden! When I win the EuroMillions you're all coming over to my (Luigi themed) mansion for a Just Dance party.

Mario Kart League makes me sad I've always wanted to join but have different days in work every week so can't commit to it! Heck, I think the last time I could commit to a tournament was Wifi Karts :p I am liking the online to a degree, but I have to agree, the Wii one felt so far ahead of everything else on the system and this seems to struggle to match the Wii version at best. But the game itself is still top notch, so there's something. I'm also almost 100% we WILL see DLC in this game. Firstly, the Honda promo in Japan is a big clue, the lack of true battle mode levels (I'm sure they'll be a pack for some) and the fact I found a banner in the game in Royal Raceway... FUCKING BIRDO.

That's insane!! I was also under the impression it would just get over a million in it's lifetime, given the sales of other big Wii U titles like Mario 3D World and Nintendo Land. I guess it's easy to forget how much of an impact Mario Kart Wii and DS had, I think they really re-invigorated Mario Kart and bought it back into the public eye. Definitely much bigger now than it was in the 64/GC era. So, is Mario Kart officially bigger than the typical 3D Mario adventure? I think so. Especially considering the Wii sales of Galaxy 1 and 2 to Mario Kart Wii. I hope it can continue! And wtf, they hope to reveal more stuff at E3 NEXT WEEK? Am I reading this wrong or is E3 really next week? Geez, I've had my head in the clouds lately...

I hit rock bottom earlier today, thought I was doing fine just lately too but man, I haven't felt this low in years. Literally felt like someone had died... I was brushing my teeth earlier when I suddenly just happened to think about all of the shit that's going wrong, and when I realised work is just tip of the iceberg (though is what pushed me too far today I think) it worried me even more. When I actually stop and think about it, I'm just so fucked in so many ways and it's made even worse that I find it hard to talk to anyone about it, for some reason, this thread is one of the few places I can let off a bit of steam. But yeah, it was worrying, a mini-breakdown of sorts, just couldn't control myself and was uncontrollably crying, locked myself in my old room and was just on the floor trying to breathe, wasn't sure if I'd be able to bring myself to come out. I've gotta leave for work in 20 mins or so, so I'm just trying to get myself back to normal. I literally felt like I almost lost my mind an hour ago. It's at this point that I'm starting to think I can't just shrug it off anymore, I've been down and stuff for a good while now but it's never took me over like that, I couldn't think straight. So yeah, just gonna try and work through today and then I've really gotta stop brushing stuff under the rug. Before it kinda felt like I was a float, I'd keep being dragged under but somehow bounced my way back to the surface again, but now it feels more like... I'm on a slippery hill and just can't get a footing. And there's like a big shark at the bottom or something.

I thought the GC Pad announcement was great! From what I heard they don't allow wireless controllers for tournaments? So Smash4 would have been pretty screwed without it! And call me a stubborn bastard, but I can't imagine Smash Bros without a GameCube pad! I never played the orginal so got that on VC, so literally every Smash game I've played has been with that pad.
