I have no idea, people always use the argument that fans complain when things get stale but I can't see that. Twilight Princess is often used as an example, being a direct sequel to Ocarina of Time, in style and gameplay at least, but that seems like the last Zelda that truly appealed to mass gamers despite being on Wii so I think that says it all. I think Nintendo's insistence on re-imagining or ignoring franchises (F-Zero) is one of the reasons they've lost so many fans since the 64 era.

@V.Amoleo - same near me, pretty much every shop I know has dropped Nintendo stuff. I have a huge shopping centre right by me yet the only places that sell Nintendo items are GAME and Smyths toys. ASDA, Tesco, Sainsburys, Currys - No, no, no and no. All of them used to.

Also: South Park & The Stick of Truth. I'd heard great things and love the series so went for it... But I hate RPG's. It turns out my love for the show just wasn't strong enough to bare more of that gameplay.

Buying Pokémon AGAIN (X) despite being burnt out on it for years. I thought maybe the improved graphics could rope me back in but I gave up shortly after gym 3. Its just so dull. Got my friend and brother badgering me to get Omega Ruby now... Not gonna happen :p

Mario 3D World is the first main entry (apart from New Super Mario Bros) that I've thought is just average. There is a lot of great level design in there but also masses of filler, especially in world 6 and earlier. The clunky controls (especially compared to other 3D titles) and lack of free camera are what annoyed me most. I know you didn't get much camera control in Galaxy but at least it was more dynamic, so many levels in 3D World just have the side-on camera which really doesn't work well for a 3D playing field but alas, I know it was necessary to accommodate the multiplayer aspect.

For some reason I can't help but think Starfox will be an eShop title or a disappointment. As much as I want a classic Starfox I just know they'll throw some new mechanic in there to mess things up. Now if they added Tricky as a playable character... Maybe then I'd be interested.

I'd love a new true 3D Mario platformer. 3D World just didn't cut the mustard. Galaxy 3 would be good but in my dream world, a true sequel to 64/Sunshine. I miss the classic exploration type Mario SO much.

Happy Anniversary! Here's to another 10 years! I think I've been here about that long and its crazy because it feels like only yesterday... But then I remember I joined using my crappy old laptop on dial-up one day after school in Year 7 and well... Fuck I'm old. My involvement has been patchy over the years but I always come back for more. I wonder how many of us will still be knocking around in 10 years? I hope most of us are I need to keep up to date on your relationship problems and I need somewhere to vent when I'm losing my mind about work or the lack of Donkey Kong games in the world.

Went into my local GAME today and as Guy said, they're £15 now also completely rubbish here. I took me ages to find them, they were on two bottom shelves, under some game guides and Wii U carry cases, one shelf had 3 starfox amiibos stretched out and the other was full of Samus ones. That was it :/

Shiiiiiiiit, that Smash debut is abysmal. What a truly depressing time for Nintendo.

Very disappointed, I was really hoping this would be decent but it looks shoddy even in comparison to Lost World.

@Wii what are you expecting Reggie to say, honestly? "Yes, the Wii U isn't doing great, third-party support is terrible and we don't have enough games coming out. Also, this job was great while it lasted but fuck it, we're screwed." He kinda has to put things in a good light and it seems he's done it whilst trying to also be as honest as possible.

Whilst it would make sense for the 12 games to get released once a month, judging by the last few years it'll be more like one in January, one in February, one in May, one in September and 8 in November :p

I think Nintendo need to try their damn hardest to get Zelda out next year, Wii U isn't doing great as it is, leaving ANOTHER Zelda to struggle at the arse-end of a consoles life or get awkwardly sandwiched inbetween two (Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess) won't be great for the series at all.

I've been wanting one for years so finally got an iPad, a black iPad 4! Also, gotta support one of the few (only?) motion control party games left! Decided to download from the eshop as it will bag me another Nintendo Network premium discount meaning I'll get Donkey Kong Country 2 for 50p but damn, I forgot how lame my internet was. Started about 4 hours ago and am 20% done, doesn't help that the game is like 11gb

Good news about Bayonetta though it will be interesting to see how it does next week. Truly heartbreaking about Just Dance. I know, I know, I can hear your snarls, but it really is a great party game and one of the few that actually has a good budget and doesn't take itself too seriously. Also improves with every instalment. I knew the Wii version would start to drop off but ubi were really pushing the Wii U version this time and it is out on Kinect/move for both gen consoles too, so thought it would at least do decent numbers spread across that many consoles. I guess the motion control fad is well and truly dead. Damn hardcore gamers ruining it for us all :p You can't play Bayonetta with a group of friends when you're drunk!

Ugh, they could be so good but are so bad :p Nintendo should just make their own special edition gc controllers in the same vein as the amazing club Nintendo Mario, Luigi and Wario ones

Holy crap that was amazing, possibly best direct of the year. After the 3ds game I wasn't overly hyped for this anymore but MAN - I can't wait now. it looks in incredible. The levels, the modes, the music and ... That announcer <3 December can't come soon enough now!

Delivery of manure is set to go up 10 fold in the next year. And I loved the hoverboard but if you still need skill to use it then I'm screwed :p I tried so hard to get into skateboarding when I was younger but alas, I ended up just sitting on it and going down a hill hahaha - It was a damn sexy board thoug. It was glittery and had Sonic on it (this was early 90's so it was awesome fat sonic too) But yeah, I think people forget one of the greatest inventions of 2015. Them little pizza's that expand super quick and take like 10 seconds to cook.

@tapedeck congrats on the date, playing piano together and talking till 4am... that made my heart melt Certainly sounds like a very good start And must be a lot more fun than the usual cinemas or something. @Animal Sounds good man, but you make damn sure she sticks to it! I've been lurking this thread the last few weeks (and your life the last 10 <3) and she'd better not start messing you around. How many times has she cancelled meeting up now?
