  1. It's done. Didn't care for the ending at all. Again, very meh. It had some decent moments and some of the lightsaber battles were great, but overall it didn't do it for me. Also, given how little she's in it, it seemed really weird that Carrie Anne Moss is all over the promo stuff. It felt like The Rock and Sam Jackson in The Other Guys all over again.
  2. Didn't realise Alwa's Awakening was that cheap. I may have to pick it up as well. I see the sequel is also on sale.
  3. I've tried multiple times to get into Andor but have never got past the first episode. Strangely, I really enjoyed Book of Boba Fett, despite many disliking it. For me, I don't think anything is gonna touch Rebels.
  4. I've got 1 more episode left of the Acolyte. I didn't care much for the other flashback episode, in fact I fell asleep for 20 minutes whilst watching it. I like the idea of the twins switching places/masters, and I do like Sol as a character. Other than that, it's been a very meh experience. Pretty standard for most SW stuff these days.
  5. Should have changed the sticks as well. Those things are looking a little nasty.
  6. Insane numbers. So deserved as well.
  7. Yeah, but they always manage to hold their own in a one on one fight. Put them in a group against 1 Sith lord and they are like headless chickens. There were around 10 of them there. They could have easily used the force to hold the enemy in place. I mean, in the very next scene you have Jecki doing a force throw/push against Mae.
  8. Do the Jedi just generally suck at fighting? I'm on episode 5 and Sol's group have just been handed their butt's to them by the antagonist. Reminds me of Revenge of the Sith when Palpatine swept a bunch of Jedi Masters to one side as if they were nothing. Doesn't make any sense.
  9. DC related but not movies related. A sneak peek of the final season of Superman and Lois has been released. I guess they are doing the Death of Superman storyline? Have you ever watched this series, @Happenstance? It gets a lot of praise from DC/comic book fans.
  10. Edit: I guess the Section 31 trailer is region locked at the moment.
  11. Amazing result, especially when you consider it's rated 15/R meaning it can't pull in younger audience numbers.
  12. More gameplay has surfaced from the event over at China at the moment. This just looks like pure platforming bliss.
  13. Today, I decided to fire up the Octo Expansion and see what all the fuss is about. I'm currently 45 out 80 levels into it. I've unlocked the final stage already but me being me, I want to get through all 80 stages. It's been a fun time so far. I can see what people mean when they say that it lays down the groundwork for the campaign of Splatoon 3. Some levels do go on a little longer than necessary but I still enjoy them. Out of all the stages, the ones that are my worst are probably the 8-Ball ones. Guiding the ball around can be a little tricky, especially when enemies are firing at the thing as well. I'm not sure how many stages I've done like this but I've read that they are 10 in total. I've also done a couple of boss fights. I was a little disappointed that they are just remixes of the ones from the campaign but I did like how they offered more of a challenge.
  14. I sat and played all of the DLC over the past couple of days. It was fine but nothing special. Two levels are from the Atlantis area of the main game and two are from the Egypt levels. None of them really flowed like the main game and instead just seemed like a mish mash of ideas just cobbled together to make some new stages. After doing all of this, I've now spent close to 60 hours on the game. Methinks Tomb Raider 2 will not be getting played until next year. I definitely need a break. It's funny, this year marks the 30th anniversary of the PlayStation. I've inadvertently done my own celebration by playing this, Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, Metal Gear Solid (from the latest collection) and Tekken 8, all completed this year. All of these are games and franchises that made the PlayStation what it is today. I just need to play a Crash Bandicoot game and it will be perfect.
  15. Starting watching The Acolyte. Three episodes in and it's pretty garbage. I'll still continue on and finish it but I'm not impressed so far.
  16. I see PSVR2 has been discounted to £350 at most UK retailers. I can't see it moving the needle that much as it's still too expensive for an impulse buy. The headset is still lacking a killer app and Sony don't seem interested in pushing the thing.
  17. I was watching some of those vids last night and couldn't stop laughing. If I had the game I wouldn't download the inevitable patch and just keep things as they are.
  18. There's a great article on Time Extension that popped up yesterday. https://www.timeextension.com/features/talking-point-does-video-game-history-have-a-nintendo-problem This is something I have thought about for along time now. There's no denying that Nintendo have played a huge part in the development of the industry but a lot of the time other companies had pioneered things way before Nintendo did. The article is spot in in that most Youtube videos about gaming do seem to be from people who live in the US and so there is definitely a bias there. Another thing that is pointed out, and it's always been a pet peeve of mine, is that Nintendo is seen as a saviour for the whole industry in the 80's during the Atari crash but over here in the UK there was no such issue. Home computers were doing fine and when it came to game consoles, most people had Sega machines over here, not Nintendo. Personally, I think it was @Happenstance who wrote the article. I mean, nobody loves Croc as much as him, right?
  19. Finally launched on PS5. This should keep @drahkon happy. Speaking of PS5 indie games, I came across this today. I read that the developers were heavily influenced by Breath of Fire 3/4 and Dark Cloud. Game looks great. Added it the wishlist for when it's in a sale.
  20. What version of Wii Sports Resort did you have?
  21. The rumoured price is $130. Not sure what that will translate to over here though.
