  1. I'm not sure if many of them will even return. The story has become such a mess it's hard to work of who are the main players that will be part of the new line up and who will be cast aside due to the shakeup that's happening.
  2. Just be thankful you get to sit at home...
  3. Pretty much. Assassin's Creed introduced towers in each of the game's areas that can be climb. Once at the top you can synch with it and this clears the map for your and shows you points of interest. As Glen pointed out, this usually litters your maps with various icons but it was never that bad when it was first introduced. After the success of AC, Ubisoft then added it into some of their other franchises, Far Cry being one of them. Since then, lots of other developers have used this system as it's a handy way for players to uncover the map. As for the question of the topic, off the top of my head the only game that has been really big that I can think of that hasn't reeled me in is Genshin Impact and all the other games that miHoYo have produced. On paper I should like each of their games but the inclusion of gacha mechanics and FOMO means I have never played any of them. It's a shame because by all accounts the games are really good but being wrapped up in all of those things means I've never been inclined to try them.
  4. This and Mina the Hollower just don't want to give up a release date. Now I know what Silksong fans feel like.
  5. Looks like there are versions of the game out in the wild that finally have everything on the cart. Hopefully this becomes more wildy available.
  6. Finished my speedrun playthrough this evening. I had to watch a few speedrun videos in order to make the time needed for the trophy. With the game being the age that it is, there are an abundance of speedruns to go through. Having got the trophy for using a small amount of saves, this meant I could just go nuts with saving in case I cocked up my run. I tried pairing this trophy with one for killing all the enemies but it just wasn't feasible, especially when I pretty much skipped all of the Atlantis level thanks to a speedrunning glitch. 😛 This means that another 2 playthroughs are needed. One on Hard Mode and one to mop everything else up. Hard Mode is going to be a toughie as it only allows you to save via the crystals, just like in the original game, but enemies also take more damage and there are no health packs kicking about the utilise.
  7. I think this is why there is quite a lot of fear for the use of AI. If successful, then many people will lose their livelihood and passion for what they do. It won't matter if you're the cream of the crop. If a company can save money by getting rid of a paid worker for something that can be crested on the cheap, they are gonna do it. Look at what happened with the recent Pokemon TCG design competition. People were entering designs done by AI. Some even got pretty far in the rankings before being found out and disqualified.
  8. Knowing what the FA are like, we will probably end up with Steve Bruce.
  9. Southgate has finally quit.
  10. Good man. I'll be playing it once I get in from work. It will be a nice break from Tomb Raider. I loved my time playing Daxter again and so I hope this holds up just as well.
  11. It's just because we have been spoilt by modern gaming. Most PS1 JRPGs ran like this. Get Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters downloaded and played.
  12. Here's a great article about just what is going on with the industry, especially artists and the rise of using AI. It's a long read but well worth it. https://www.artstation.com/blogs/telthona/LzzgV/what-is-going-on-with-the-industry
  13. Indeed. Seems to be a bit of a thing over in the US. My brother has told me a fair few stories of parents at his daughters sporting events who are really harsh with their kids for how they perform. Essentially trying to live their sporting fantasies/dreams through them, instead of being a loving parent.
  14. That I enjoyed it or that they don't make games like this anymore? 😛
  15. They should just shut up shop and call it a day at this point.
  16. I'm not expecting anything from Liverpool for a while. A new manager means a new style of play. It's gonna be a transition year which usually means the team won't be challenging for anything.
  17. Dude has pretty much played the same style of football during his whole time in charge. If he stays then wasting a golden generation of quality footballers is exactly what's going to happen. Every time we get an amazing set of players come through we always end up with a manager who doesn't know how to use them. It's happened time and time again with England.
  18. Foden is the ringleader.
  19. That's it done. Now someone go fire Southgate for an absolutely shoddy performance in a tournament that was handed to us on a plate, especially with the quality we have in the squad.
  20. Yup. Scored the goal and then let them back in the game, as always.
  21. Look at that. We scored and then have once again taken our foot of the throttle. Shocking.
