I loved this game and honestly thought it would remain a Switch exclusive. I could be tempted to double dip if the price is right.

Very happy that this is making its way to the service. As PushSquare said, its a very underrated game. -

Yeah, Jason Schreier has given it a stupid amount of praise. -
I think the same happened over in the US with various Gamestop stores. Pretty sure Jeff Gertsmann rescued a lot of retro goods when it happened.

Booooooo. I suppose it's for the best. They would probably charge for them as well.

Just spreading the good word about a great little game. Gotta do that these days when so many great games get buried amongst the trash.

Took some more Gamecube games in today (£350) and stood chatting to the guy for a while (took an hour to check all the bongos, dance mat and mics) who runs the store. He was saying how when he worked at GAME and they took over Gamestation, they were ordered to destroy all of the retro consoles and games. Thousands of pounds worth of stuff was just taken out back and smashed to pieces. He said it was heartbreaking and the staff weren't allowed to take any of it, even if they offered money for it. He said they were such a scummy company and that they couldn't really afford to keep Gamestation going and only bought them just to dismantle the competition. I used to love Gamestation. They were so much better than Game. Some of my Cube games still had Gamestation and Chips price stickers on them.

Yup. It sucks. You usually have the money to buy games but have neither the time or energy to enjoy them. The complete opposite of when you were a kid. @bob A Short Hike is currently on sale on PSN for £3.89.

Sony can't even release limited edition DualSense controllers without incident, never mind a new console.

It's such a great show. So many funny moments and so many serious and heartfelt ones as well. The episode with Ben is still one of my favourite episodes from any TV show. It's crazy just how many characters become part of the main cast. I don't think I've watched another sitcom that starts with a few characters but then expands so much over the years where many of the side characters become main ones.

That's a thought I have seen a fair few times since the announcement of the Switch 2. If the handheld factor of the console isn't a major selling point to you then a PS5 is looking like a decent proposition now. Cheaper games, more software and a more powerful device. It depends on hard a pull Nintendo's IP has on you.

I often go through spells like that. The past few weeks I have played very little (for me) and just sat and worked my way through Scrubs for the 100th time. Don't be so hard on yourself. You have a job and family to take care of and so it's understandable you don't have the drive or energy when it comes to gaming. Maybe try to ease into something that is a shorter experience, rather than trying to force yourself into something you think you should play. You should pick up A Short Hike. In terms of your backlog, if you are honest with yourself and you don't actually want to play them, then simply don't. If they are physical copies you can always sell them on or trade them in. Out of sight, out of mind.

General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion

Tariffs are tanking videogame stocks. -
I love that game. Bought it on both the Switch and PS4 because I enjoyed it so much. It's one of my favourite indie games.

A new console with very little compelling software. So....sod all.

Played through this today. Picked it up on sale as I missed it back when it was part of PS+. It was a nice, chilled out experience. Kinda reminded me a little of A Short Hike. It was great to have the DLC as part of the package as well. Apparently the base game was updated with the extra level and it was just given away for free. It's amazing that Indie developers do this quite often and yet the big publishers charge for such things.

B&M are great for getting Lego sets at a cheaper price. My mate got a lot of his Star Wars diorama sets from there.

I feel @BowserBasher is gonna be the one to finish all of his pledges first.

Seeing as I won't be getting a Switch 2 in the near future, I'll be buying it on the original Switch.
-
Yeah, will do. I'll fire a picture of all of them to you via the PS app before I start selling them.
-
Haha. I noticed that when I typed it. My phone kept auto correcting Odama and was like "Nah. I'm keeping that in"

Made another £200 today off Gamecube games. Took about 30 in this time, all of which were lower priced games. I didn't want to be hanging around while they tested them and so made sure they were all under £30 each. I went up the attic today to get the outer boxes and microphones for Mario Party 6 and 7. Insane how much they go for complete. Those will be going in my next trip, alongside other big packages such as the Donkey Konga/Jungle Beat games, the Mario dance mat game, Obama and Crystal Chronicles. I'll probably have to wait a long time while all of that stuff is tested. I think two more trips should be enough to finish off my Gamecube collection. One for the console (Resident Evil 4 edition) and a few games and another trip for 20 or so games that will all need to be tested due to their value. Methinks the N64 collection will be next on the cards. It was always going to be a hard first step to take but people are right when they say once you've got rid of the first batch it becomes very easy to keep going. It's crazy how much space I'm creating.
