Until Dawn Remake/Remaster (4th October 2024)
Hero-of-Time replied to Julius's topic in Other Consoles
Still baffled why this is even a thing. Although, a quick google revealed that the original is now 9 years old. That is bonkers to me. Feels like a relatively recent release. Time has ceased to have any meaning to me. -

I want me some more PSP/PS1/PS2 goodness. In terms of PSP releases, Secret Agent Clank, Wild Arms and both God of War games would be nice to have. I don't think there are many big 1st party PSP games left to be released on the service. Would be absolutely amazing if Capcom got their finger out and added the Monster Hunter Freedom games to the service but that would never happen. I'm still waiting for them to release Dino Crisis.... -
I thought it was strange you didn't comment on it when you love this kind of stuff.

Crazy.

Yeah, it's another baffling decision by Capcom when it comes to their physical releases.

Coming to Steam as well. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2969380/BAKERU/?curator_clanid=4777282 Given how rough the framerate is on the Switch version, it's probably worth getting on Steam for those with that option. -

Amazing. No word of a lie, I nearly imported it just last week. -

Yeah, it's a bit of a monkey's paw situation. Great that the studio has been saved but bad given the people who have saved it. I enjoyed Callisto Protocol but there was no way it should have been released in the state it was in. The developers just weren't given the time they needed. -
I finally got around to playing the first Shantae game. I'm now all caught up with the series and ready for the next entry. It was interesting going back and seeing where the series began. What Wayforward were able to pull off with the GBC was pretty impressive. Some of the animations and sprite were stupidly well done. I loved the little animation of when Shantae is seen walking through a door when in any one of the villages. One thing that was a little rough was the combat. The upgrades you get didn't really do anything and I went through all the game just pretty much using the standard hair whip attack. In the newer versions of the game the combat is improved, what with you being able to buy items to do more damage or increase the length of your attack. Seeing as this was the first in the series, I'll let them off. Bit of a bummer that there was no platinum trophy for this one. I think this is the second Shantae game to not have one. It's very weird that some have them and others don't. Yes, I'm gonna hold the lack of platinum against the game. It was still fun going for 100% of the trophies though. The one where you can't use the warps until you have found every squid was pretty annoying but at least there were no speed running trophies in this one.

Any major aspect of gaming that just... passed you by?
Hero-of-Time replied to Jonnas's topic in General Gaming Discussion
For Rebirth it's poverty much necessary and probably why they remastered it in the first place. Not to mention the Remake ending will lack any real impact without having played Crisis Core. -

Definitely play FFVII and Crisis Core before playing the remake. You will miss/not appreciate a lot of stuff in Remake and Rebirth if played before the originals. -
I was... ...but I achieved all of my goals and retired.

I love it. About time us baldies had strong representation.

Absolute joke if he gets to keep it full time. Regarding Pep, my mate said the same thing. I don't think I would trust Pep to be able to manage a team without the ability to spend millions of pounds.

Five more games are leaving the service this month. I never did get around to playing Sea of Stars. -
Finally! I'll probably pick it up on release day.

Platinumed the game twice and never ran into this issue. It's the Footy Manager thing all over again. -

Man, what could have been. I loved The Order 1886. In slightly related news, GameXplain are letting people go. This doesn't surprise me. Gone are the days of GX being the only player in town doing analysis videos and Nintendo related stuff. These types of channels are a dime a dozen now. YouTube really is a bloodbath for a lot of gaming content creators. Gonna be interesting to see how Andre handles things now that he hasn't got as many employees to exploit. -

Ready at Dawn are no more. Loved their output on PlayStation platforms.
