  1. The opening theme was crud. I liked the credit sequence though.
  2. No no, DCK is right. It's just straight-up sad.
  3. The torture sequence is the stuff of movie legend. The genius of it is you have no idea what is going to happen until it's explained to you, at which point it seems all too obvious. I'll admit to crossing my legs and grimicing for the duration of the scene.
  4. Wait, has anyone actually mentioned the other Gamespot reviews yet? Anyway, Trauma Centre just made the top 3 of my "must buy" list. I'll be hoarse from shouting "Clear!!" in no time. Cannae wait. Gamespot- Trauma Centre- 8.0 Monkey Ball Banana Blitz- 8.3
  5. I'm kind of fed up with this whole attitude that IGN/Gamespot are both infalible and capable of commanding that exact sales of games as a result of their reviews. Honestly Gamespot gives Zelda a merely VERY GOOD and not a MIND BLOWINGLY SPECTACUALR score of 8.8, and people quite literally assume it's the end times.
  6. I dunno, Banna Blitz and Trauma Centre seem to be very well recieved. Besides, you should see the PS3 reviews. Somewhere there's a Gundam fan who's majorly pissed off.
  7. I don't fully understand why soom seem so desperate to debunk, discount, or generally rubbish the Gamespot review. 8.8 is a very good score surely. In the concluding paragraph he desribes the game as "excellent news for Zelda fans". Sure he expressed some dissapointment with one or two elements but that is his opinion he is expressing. What else is he paid for?
  8. Daniel Craig is easily the best Bond since Sean Connery, and Casino Royale is the best Bond film since before Goldeneye. Indeed, even as a red-blooded hetrosexual man, I'm still a little truned on by the thought of Bond emerging from the waves in his tiny tiny trunks, complete with abs of steel and pecs that alone could kill a man at twenty paces. The whole card game was great, and I particulary like the way that Felix has been updated from a White-CIA-guy to big, fat, black soul agent. Would love to see more of him later. For me though, the defining moment of the film is the scene where Bond finds Vespar crying in the shower, and just about pools all his hummanity and sensitivties together to offer her a comforting, pulsating bicep to cry on. 9/10 See it now.
  9. Do all of our opinions have to be strictly defined by what others think, or are we going to be allowed some wriggle room here?
  10. Fire arrows?
  11. Wouldn't mind that "Depths of Japanese history" one. £18 possibly a tad steep for a T-shirt for me though.
  12. Glad to see the first web impressions putting TP in, to say the least, a highly favourable light. Still holding out for the Edge or NGamer review. When is the next Edge out?
  13. Yeah, I wish McLaren would just get back to basics, and stop trying to be clever. He's coming up with these crazed strategies that obviously don't work and just wastes good players in positions where they can't play their game. Lets keep things simple and at least nail the basics next time.
  14. Quite like their apartment. What kind of crazy city/rural cut-off zone do they live in though?
  15. I do think there's something to be said for the good reputation of high journalistic standards that NGamer has. If game publishers didn't want to get "their hands bitten" because of a bad game, why would they let anyone review their game ever?
  16. "FLOP GAME"? NGamer gave it 90%. I've read their mag since the birth of the GC, and they haven't let me down yet. (They gave Banana Blitz 84%, if anyone's interested.)
  17. If the subject of the film is really what we all believe to be, it seems inevitable, if not actually required by federal law.
  18. I don't see how borrowing from OoT would be a great problem, especially when you consider an OoT-a like Zelda is what people have been screaming for since we were all hopping up and down trying to snatch a glimpse of the Starcube. It's amazing that so few other games have.
  19. I'll hold out for some reviews. If they can go the full 1hr and 27mins without turning to a celebrity, they win a cookie.
  20. I'll be seeing Thurs with my Mum, my bro and a couple of mates at my local art house. Daniel Craig is a great actor, this will be good.
  21. You should email that into NGamer or something. I bet they'd love to make a poster out of it. Link's in high demand these days.
  22. Probably just Exitetruck, but I'll give Tony hawks a look see if it's any good.
  23. The graphics look pretty nice to me too, but I can imagine they don't look too great next to other Wii titles. Can't say till I get the finsihed product. As he says though, is anyone even going to care?
  24. Penny Arcade have given their two cents: Excellent.
  25. Most of his preview seems to be entirely about reading signs - I mean it's hardly a game breaking complaint now, is it? I love the fact he picked out the Zelda series, when pretty much every single RPG/Adventure game since the beginning of time (and most probably many, many RPG/Adventure games to come) uses the same, back breaking method of making the player press a button. How will he cope?
